I got my nails done by Mr. Lee about a month ago. They still look great and have held up so well. I got a full set acrylic with cat eye French tip design. He was very nice and very professional. Very nice man, he reminds me of my father-in-law. I plan to go back very soon and get a fill. They also charge very fairly. I felt like they didn't overcharge, which was nice compared to some other salons I've been to that did work not nearly as nice as this. read more

First time customer, made an appointment. asked for 6pm, was asked to come earlier. I left work early to accommodate their request. When I arrived I was told I would have to wait, which is fine...after waiting 20 minutes past my appointment time I was asked to wait even longer for another person that arrived after me to be taken back. These people saved the day! My daughter went to another salon and got an awful full set. She hated them so much she was crying. She immediately went here and asked for them to be removed and the ladies were so nice and removed them once they saw what she got vs what she asked for from the other salon. I had a good experience while there ! I took my two nieces and they were super excited and the nail techs were patient with them. I got a gel mani and pedi which was all good until I got home. Within an hour the gel nail polish on one finger lifted and I was pretty disappointed. Anyways the gel lifting was really painful which is very weird so I cut off the gel that was lifting and come to find out my nail is ripping off with the gel nail polish. It's very very painful and I am scared to take the rest off. Just wish they would've been more patient with my nails because I have to rip my nail off now. UPDATE. I called the place asking for a refund because I honestly don't want them touching my nails again. The manager told me "they don't do refunds and only do refunds if they messed up. Which they did lol! She told me they don't give refunds to liars which is pretty hysterical a manager arguing with a customer. Mind you she was only willing to give me back $30 and kept saying "you need money this bad?!" . I spent $45 and tipped $20 on the nail service so what idiot would rip off their own nail bed and be in excruciating pain for $30 back. I just wanted a refund because I did not pay to get my nail permanently damaged. Her and I literally argued for 10 minutes straight and I got super mad at her because she couldn't understand that my nail ripped up in the middle and is still torn. DO NOT GO HERE! I googled hours, the door was open, the lit sign said they closed at 6 Pm and there were customers in there but my money and I were turned away. while I full understand a store having hours a closed shop usually has a locked door and a correct sign. Very rude will never be back Akron has a ton of cheap nail salons that can afford correct signage. read more

my Friend and I went in and asked for a basic $35 pedicure but with gel polish. Yes, of course this accrues more cost but its typically 5 bucks... I asked for one design and was given false hope only to be told they couldn't do it. So I found an alternative. I was told they could do it. It looked horrible. So then since my other toes were a bright yellow, I asked if they could do a sunset look where a dark pink fades to an orange which fades to yellow... I was told they couldn't even do that. By the end I had to resort to a hideous butterfly sticker which I didn't even want but felt like I had already been in pain in the butt to them... $65 later and every time I look at my toes I'm irritated and I hate them but I'm trying to live with them because of how much money I spent..... also, not even a week later and my one toenail is peeling... Overall, a decent experience. I walked in without an appointment and was seen right away. I got a full dip set with tips for $45 + tax and tip, which was a pretty good price. The salon was clean and had proper COVID precautions in place (plexiglass between you and the tech, plastic curtains, face mask required, etc). My tech didn't wear gloves which was a little worrying but I could see how it would be hard to do nails with gloves on. My tech was friendly but was hard on my nails. She didn't seem to like that I hadn't had my nails done in a while and was very rough with the nail file. Also, when using nail drill near my cuticles she would hit my skin and make me bleed. I would pull back and say it hurts and she would just tell me to relax and turn the machine up which was very frustrating. My nails turned out okay but do have some noticeable flaws (I posted pictures of one). I'd say this was not a horrible experience, but I'm also not itching to go back. This would be a good place to go if you see the same tech every time and they do your nails exactly how you like them. read more

This is the only place I go to get my nails done. I love the ladies at US! They are always sweet & smiling. There is a good assortment of nail polish and yummy smelling lotions. They have always done a good job on my nails. I was in there earlier today & was nervous because a few days ago I cut my index finger right next to the nail. I just knew the chemicals were going to burn! She was so careful not to get anything on it or touch it while shaping & filing. The prices are reasonable & coupons for pedicures come out a couple times a month in the local mailings. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is they need to add a couple more people to their staff. read more

I had a great experience. I wanted a mani pedi with gel. I was able to get in right away without an appointment and was finished in about an hour and fifteen minutes. The staff was friendly. The place was quiet. It was very clean and organized. I wish the gel price was cheaper. It was $15 for each. I usually pay 10$ other places. read more

Have went to this place for a few years and this experience was so bad I will never return. I signed in and there were several ppl waiting. The woman in front of me had a shit stain all down the crack of her pants. She proceeded to sit down and the techs said nothing. I waiting over and hour and still no service. Finally, one girl was getting gel on her feet and sticking her feet in the machine and afterwards watched the tech use the machine on someone else's nails without cleaning the machine. When the shit stained woman got up no one wiped the seat and another customer sat down. I saw enough to traumatize me forever and left. So gross!!! read more

To the complaint below, I was there that day. The polish was on the back table and yes the lid wasn't on but they were busy that day, so everyone was rushing around trying to get everything done. Worst experience of my life. I want to start off by saying please people don't waste your time nor money especially your energy in there. Jenny assisted me and it was by for the worst experience I ever had to put myself through. Nobody deserves to be mistreated nor disrespected like I was. She first of all, over charged me and did not tell me about extra charges and just went with it without asking me. And to top it off she was being extremely rough with my hands. I asked her nicely to stop and then she starts saying "you have problems" "not me" first of all I never said anything about a problem I asked nicely please don't be rough. Please people don't waste your energy with Jenny she was obviously in a bad mood and took it out on me. When you're at work you leave all "negative" energy at her home. Not take it to work and take it out on someone you don't even know. Please do not get mistreated like I was. So sad I had to go through this honestly by far the worst experience. The fact that she was even being extremely rough with my hands and even cracked my finger was so terrible and nobody deserves to be treated like this. US Nails has a wonderful new Technician named Robin. Very thorough, perfect pedicure. Great attention to her clients' needs. She's an A+! I like this salon because there is usually only a moderate wait for walk-ins, as long as everyone shows up for work! I will ask for Robin every time...don't mind the extra wait. I went to this salon after a VERY bad experience at Legacy Nails on Howe Ave. The woman was very sweet and willing to help repair the damage that had been done at Legacy Nails. She worked a long time and made sure they looked the best she could get them, then only charged $13.00 for the repairs. This is definitely the place I will be returning! Thanks US Nails!! read more

Worst experience I've ever had at nail place EVER. Picked out a polish not knowing the employee didn't screw the lid on, the polish dropped and went everywhere all over. My clothes, hands, everything....only one employee helped ME clean the mess while a few employees just watched. Charged me a dollar more than the price listed and blamed me for the incident. NEVER will I be returning and I am filling a complaint with the better business bureau. Don't spend your money here. Go to a business that respects their customers! read more
