Dip mani over regular nails
Kayla C.

I was a walk in appointment for a manicure. I had to wait about 45 minutes before being taken back. The mail tech I was paired with, Dani, however was awesome. She was so thorough and took her time doing my nails. I will return as long as she is there to do them!

a hand with a white manicure

Horrible service. I made an appointment for 6 o'clock they close at 7 o'clock. The guy was so rushed he did not do my cuticles or even shape my nails evenly. Then sent me over to another lady to get my polish done who was even worse. She only did one coat of gel polish didn't even cure them all the way with the light so not even 24 hours later I had bubbles on all of my nails and they started peeling off and we're all sticky. This is by far the worst nail place I've ever been to. Don't waste your money here. It was almost $70 for acrylics with gel polish that look so awful.

Left hand ombré fill from Tom

Incredibly unhappy with the service I received at S&S. I came here because of the other woman's ombré nail review. I asked for the ombré fill first and Tom said he couldn't do it so I said just a fill and paint would be fine because and I quote "If you can't blend them like that them just fill and paint." Exactly what I said. Well we start chatting and it turns out he's the one who did the other girls nails, so he asks if he wants me to do the ombré (of course I say yes that's what I wanted in the first place) BUT I said that if I it didn't turn out right he'd have to paint them. We both laughed it off and he got to it. Well as you can see he finished and you can completely see my nail under. It looks like it did earlier today. I then tell him they do not look right and to just do the paint like the original plan. Well then he tries to cash me out at almost the ombré price ($8 off) and says "I did the ombré and used both colors and I did give you a discount". Keep in my this is a $50 service and a normal fill is $25. I mean like what???? $20 extra dollars for something my cousin with home acrylic could of done??? I mean the audacity. I then ask if we can meet in the middle at $35 and he just keeps saying "I said they'd look like that" like I literally didn't tell him that if he can't do it, DONT!!! That would be like someone asking for a dog at the pound and then giving them a hamster. Then saying that'll be double the price. Then of course him and another coworker were talking in another language (most likely bad mouthing me). The fact that I've had ombré filled before means I know it can be done. It is tricky so he should've just filled and painted if he "knew it wouldn't match". But no he wanted the extra $20 I will not be going back.

My friend and I overstayed and we were never kicked out (sorry my guy, the wine was flowing so the convo kept flowing) I had a sauvignon blanc to start which was crisp and delicious. I really should've taken notes on what the wines were because they were so good. Then I had a Pinot noir, also delicious. The sweet spicy pretzels paired perfectly with the wine.

The ambiance is cute with a few different tables and a communal table for couples/ singles. Bottles of wine adorn the built in library walls and it does seem cozy. I love the original typewriter in the bar area. We sat at the shared table, pulling up QR codes for the menu. We had to flag the only one person serving the entire bar down so that we could order drinks and food. She took our drink order, and then probably about 30 minutes went by after we were eyeing her left and right, it was clear to us that she was too busy or not making eye contact because she couldn't keep up with what was happening. Or at least I thought. After watching her have a full-blown conversation with the other person working there up at the bar area, we finally were able to get some food in, as my bf flagged her down. Olives for $7. A couple had pits that they missed I guess. But only about 12 olives total. Absolutely ridiculous. The BBQ chicken flatbread? Perhaps not. The dough was like a matzoh cracker. The chicken tasted like bland boring boiled chicken. After having been there for about 45 minutes with no food and only a couple of very strong Manhattans that were not well made, I was starting to get loopy so I wolfed down the flatbread even though it tasted like garbage. While I think this spot has a lot of potential, the service was so lackluster in the cutest of little towns, I would not come back.

It's a small place and we thought we'd have to wait but luckily a couple were leaving so we got seats at the bar. It would have been worth the wait. We picked a couple drinks off the menu and they were incredibly beautiful and tasted divine. The pizza we ordered had anchovies and pepperoni and I swear it's the best wood fired pizza I've ever had. I wanted another drink and asked the bartender to make me a rum drink of their choice. Within minutes some amazing concoction, it was smoking inside a glass dome of some sort. The garnish was a flamed cinnamon stick and orange rind that looked like a sword. It was incredible. The vibe is nice and patrons are friendly. It's not loud, so you can carry on a conversation, and the music was nice. There is a cute little back room with tables too for groups of 2-4 people. Parking is plentiful on the street and nearby parking lots. Within walking distance of other bars and restaurants. Up and coming area. I can't recommend the Oak & Olive enough and I can't wait to go back.

When we finally wanted to make a move to go during Valentine's, it was temporarily closed. Alas, we had to wait until the end of year for my birthday when it reopened to try it out. So I my anticipation and expectations were quite high at this point. This place really is more like a 2.5 star BUT I wanted to sprinkle a little recognition to the very solicitous (and attractive) servers as well as available parking. This place is billed as a French restaurant but their updated menu was completely devoid of all French items. This was a major bummer as I love French food and style of cooking. No duck, escargot, confit, nada. It was a bland menu with common Italian dishes. I ordered the pasta carbonara for my entree and was thoroughly disappointed. They used bucatini (while this is one of my fave pasta shapes) which is all wrong for carbonara. There was a lack of sauce as you can see from the picture and no eggy flavor at all. It was drenched in parmesan flakes and they didn't even use guanciale or even pancetta! The portion was too small for a pasta dish and for the high price. Our appetizer of pork belly was delish but I would've gone easier on the frying. BF's entree of spatchcock chicken was great as well. I ate a lot of that instead of my entree... Not impressed that in a place like this, they asked if we wanted to tack on bread service for $5.99. Wow, they can't even include it like most restaurants? Non merci! I look forward to going to a real French restaurant a lot closer to me with real French dishes and perhaps even free bread/rolls, literally SOMEthing. The newer one in Chagrin Falls looks tempting and authentic!

We finally went this past Sunday for Father's Day and had an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. Service was excellent; very attentive and helpful wait staff and the place was very clean and welcoming. Food was outstanding; we started with a couple of their garlic cheese breadsticks and coupled with their fresh table bread we almost got filled up before the mains arrived. Next up, salads which were also fresh and paired with their house Italian dressing, outstanding, and we needed more of the fresh bread (had three hungry young men with us). Last up our entrees and we had a little of everything and it is all yummy. Wife had a Cobb salad that looked excellent and was. One son had the pasta with meatballs plus a cauliflower crust pizza, another son had a regular pizza with pepperoni, onions and sausage, our friend had the chicken parm and I had the veal parm. My veal was incredibly tender and delicious (waitress recommendation btw) and not much was left on the table. Four soft drinks, one very full pour old fashion (for me), two appetizers and six entrees and the total bill was $197 which was a hell of a good deal for the dinner we were served. Trust me, we won't wait long to come back. Fantastic restaurant!
