I was driving through this town today and really needed to stop and get a pedicure. I decided on this place regardless of the low reviews and I am very glad I did. I was greeted immediately and everyone was very kind. I was sat in a chair within a few minutes and was very well taken care of by my nail technician. The wait time wasn't bad. Only thing I have to complain about is that I got my nails done which was April 27th, my hands only last 2 weeks and my big toe nail fell off so now it's just meat there. They only put regular polish on it which is crazy to me because usually I get acrylic big toe or gel polish but they didn't ask me what I wanted, it's just what they provided to me now I have no toe nail. read more

I've been a regular customer at US Nails II for about 2 years now and always request Phil. I've always had a pretty good experience until this morning. I called to request an appointment and was told Phil was out of town, so I asked if anyone else was available to schedule an appointment. Tom is the person who answered the call and said he was busy and hung up the phone; this happened twice. I called a third time to ask to speak to a manager about this unacceptable behavior. I was told there is no manager available and was hung up on again. I will never spend another dime at this business. Clearly they have no regard for the way they treat customers. All of the money that I have spent at this place over the years and you can't even get a hello when you walk in. (Which I just noticed after a long wait time) Three African American women walked in back to back and no one greeted us or asked us what we needed. Soon after a Caucasian person walks in, they get a proper greeting and asked what services were needed. Poor customer service outright blatant racism. Let's just call it what it is. I called several days ahead and made an appointment and when the day came to get my nails done when I went in I had to wait over an hour then when I got my services I had the younger girl. Her pedicures were nice but a little rough. The gel I got should last at least three weeks and started peeling off literally 3 days later. Then we moved onto the nails. I said I wanted dip and when I showed her the picture I wanted she tried her best but had to get another lady to fix them so I had to sit through that another 45 minutes. THREE DAYS LTER they are already messing up at the cuticles. Pulling my hair when I try to mess with my hair. My cuticles were cut and just over all experience was BAD. I picked this place because the reviews were so good and maybe it was the tech I got but i spent well over 125 for terrible nails. read more

I recommend this nail salon because I was greeted immediately. The vibe was positive. The wait was not long although it was very busy. Most of all, the service was excellent. Wouldn't recommend I had to wait at least 20 or minutes. I got a pedicure which was ok but once I got in the chair for a full set I show him the picture of what I wanted. He said ok and asked which color did I want nude or pink. I chose nude bc he said it would look like the pic after the gel top coat was on. During him doing my nails he said it was 55 but when it was time to pay he said it's 65 and made seem like I was lying. I have had ombré nails before and these are not right. Only reason I am giving 2 stars is because I've gotten my nails done here many times and I never had a problem. Loved them, first time I got a pedicure here and I will never be back!!! I normally get regular polish and it lasts a while but was told the gel will last longer by the nail tech so I got it. TWO DAYS LATER I wake up and 3 of them are just completely popped off. Take a shower 2 more just slide right off. I got them done on a Friday, it is now Thursday and all but ONE have come completely off. I wasn't able to go in earlier because of my schedule. I show up on Thursday and was just going to get them polished real quick. And was even planning on paying for that. I get there and NO ONE even acknowledged me. I stood up front for about 5 minutes without anyone saying anything, the lady even came up there and checked someone out, didn't even look at me. I won't give them any more money because now I have wasted $60 dollars ($50 plus $10 tip) on a pedicure that didn't even last me 3 days!!! Plus now I have to get them done somewhere else. read more

Went in to get a repair.. the male tech off the acrylic with a tip that hurt and he was not concerne... instead of adding a tip so it would mirror my other nails he just put acrylic on top of my real nail moved me over to this other tech that did not shape my nail correctly when I mentioned it they got an attitude and all the techs refused to take my appointment.... Had plans to come to Hattiesburg with my two sisters for lunch and to have our nails done. Referencing Yelp, I called a few of the five star salons around to find out none accepted or had time for walk-ins being as it is Saturday. Understandable. I call US Nails II and the nail tech who answers the phone responds very friendly that they accept walk-ins and will see us soon! We arrived, chose what service we wanted (which were all rather average priced), and only had a brief wait. I had a pedicure myself, one sister had a manicure, and the other sister had her first set of acrylics done. Every staff member we encountered was polite and friendly. The establishment was very organized and hygienic. They were hast while at the same time paid attention to detail and gave each of us the focus we expect. All three of us are highly satisfied. I will add, though, that Google Maps will tell you that it is in the front of the shopping center, when in fact, it is on the side. read more

Nope. Never again. I will say that the service was quick. I was a walk-in and someone helped me right away and then handed me off to someone else as he became available. That is the only reason I gave 2 stars instead of 1. Both individuals who worked on my nails took phone calls right in the middle! I'm not talking about business calls. I'm talking about personal calls, on their cell phones, while I waited. In addition, one was texting on his cell phone while working on my nails. I might have overlooked the phone calls except that the manicure was not great. My cuticles were filed down to raw strips on every one of my fingers and doing the dishes when I got home afterwards was utterly excruciating. read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. It is now 1230, and I am just now finished with my mani/pedi. Of note, my appointment (along with 3 other girls who finished around 1030 or so) was at 9:30!!! We even got to our appointment early. Appointments are apparently pointless and a waste of time. Never have I had to wait that long anywhere for a mani/pedi, even for a walk-in and certainly not with having an appointment!! Word of advice to US Nails - don't book appointments if you don't have the staff or space to accommodate! Utterly ridiculous that I'm now having to play catch up on everything else due to their ineptitude. read more

Went in for a full set. I was helped right away and told to pick out my color. I sat in a chair and had an older lady buff off the surface shine off of my natural nail with an electric file- and hit my cuticles a lot. This is pretty normal so I let her continue. She fitted the tips on my nails and applied the acrylic. It was pretty messily done (I had some nail glue and extra acrylic that set underneath my nails) She then filed with an electric file again and hit my cuticles even more. She buffed the nails with a buffing block- which did hurt because my cuticles were so sore by this point. I washed my hands and came back for polish. The polish was nice but burned a little because my cuticles were shredded. I left after 15 minutes under the UV lamp. The whole process lasted around 45 minutes- 1 hour. I paid $25 and left a $5 tip. This is a pretty average nail shop in the Hattiesburg area. read more

I went and asked for dip and the guy I got was on a drug or drunk because he was acting incredibly strange the entire time, was very slow, stumbling all over the place, getting up and walking off in the middle of the apt., etc. He charged me $50 for something I always pay $35 for at this particular salon. The manicure itself looked absolutely horrible and messy and not even done. Also, he started off the apt by hitting on me consistently which was very uncomfortable and he didn't even let me pick the color after I asked. He asked what I wanted and picked it for me and did not do the manicure the way I've always seen it done.
