Well it's been confirmed to be less than 60 miles from final destination, it's more than 30 hours before delivery tomorrow, and the weather is warm and sunny. Looks like they are FINALLY going to deliver it when they say. I guess I'll stay home to be sure I'm here to sign for it. Now 30 hours later, it's still sitting in their facility an hour from here and delivery is delayed 24 hours. Why? They have no idea. So I call the facility to tell them I'll just drive there to pick it up. The answer, "well it's already on a truck to go out and we can't stop it now. It will be gone by the time you get here". If you read the other reviews I have left, this has happened multiple times for packages requiring a signature. They can't ever seem to deliver when they say they will and I have wasted more time than I care to think about sitting and waiting for them to make good on their promises. I wouldn't care if they were a day late if they weren't wasting my time. They knew this morning at 7am that they couldn't deliver today but they waited until 5 pm to notify me. What a lousy company! I get packages from all the other major shippers but FedEx seems to be the only one that can't make good on their delivery promises and they really don't seem to care.

The assistance ranged from completely cheery and competent and kind and efficient, to surley, hiding behind made up rules bordering on confrantational, and frankly, somewhat provincial behavior. Could have been better. the first part of the interaction is why I root for USPS, the second half is why the public sometimes do not support them. It would have been so easy to have been nice. But I was alas not from Lamont; I think that mattered too much to them. They are not a LPS (lemont postal service), but a US postal service.
