It was not a war between the United States and Canada (aka The War of 1812) but instead was an unsuccessful independent attempt to overthrow colonial British rule in Canada. Lots of mature trees, headstones from the late 1800's, many, many headstones with both American flags and FD flags. Unfortunately, it looks like this cemetery has not had a decent trim or now in quite awhile. Not even a couple of weeks, more like a couple of months. I posted a pic of the most stunning tombstone, an homage to Army Private Harold Wright, killed in WWl. My wife teared up thinking that his parents must have been so heartbroken that he died young, they created this life size statue of him. It's a fairly sized cemetery, too bad it's not taken better care of.
