Very helpful and informative staff. One clerk in particular goes above and beyond to help customers.

The mailbox I use had a lock that needed to be repaired, and the situation was such that this post office was responsible for making the contact. I'm not sure how much of the processing was on the locksmith order and I'm not privy to the communication between the respective locksmith(s) and post office. The locksmith(s) might be private to the post office rather than from a local company. I made my request on a weekday afternoon and was told that an order was put in and that there was no way to know how long the lock repair would take. I left my phone number and offered other pertinent information and offered to give them other information they might need, but that request was declined. I called in one week later on an afternoon weekday, and I was told that the order was still in but that I didn't need to call and that the order was still put in, and they confirmed my phone number with me. The representative seemed kind of annoyed I had made a phone call at all. One full month or a bit more after my initial call, I visited the post office in-person in the afternoon. They told me to make a call in the morning only and that the morning staff handle lock issues and not the afternoon. I don't remember if they took down my information, but they should've had it at this point regardless. Due to personal situation and work, I was not able to call until the following Wednesday morning after that. Tuesday night, I noticed the lock was finally handled, but there was no update on the keys. They told me that I could not have the keys delivered and that I would have to come in to the post office. I went in-person in the morning the next day afterward and in-person, the staff told me that the keys have been sitting around for so long that they sent them out with the carrier today. So, after telling them where I would be, I immediately went back to be available for the carrier asap. During all phone calls and in-person meetings from the beginning, I left the respective information including situation about how the keys had to be dropped off elsewhere nearby for personal reasons. The staff that work in the morning and the afternoon are apparently different, and it turned out as huge disconnections one after another for me. It has negatively impacted my own life and work. The pandemic, the lack of interest in jobs that may interest customer service, issues with shipments and transportation system in general presently, and the funding problems with the weird regulations preventing workers from working certain hours outside standard hours without enough of a case to warrant it, and the issues with raising rates has lead to a discombobulated system for things not in a standard realm. Some/many other foreign country post offices are worse for sending things out of the country at least or receiving packages. It seems unless we want to pay more via a reputable carrier such as UPS or FedEx (if we can), for many things where it is more money to use those services, it isn't worth sending out by those services for many shipments. The flow of standard services seems to go by well and the staff are professionally nice here.

Everyone is friendly and line moves quick. There is plenty of street parking plus a few offstreet/handicap spaces. Will I be back? Yes.

This is a small one man operation run by the US Postal Service. The postal worker who is generally…read moreon duty is very friendly, courteous and helpful. However there are times when the post office becomes very crowded with customers and you have to wait very long for basic service such as getting stamps. This post office has a ZIP Code of 19050 which is actually in Yeadon not Lansdowne as the zip code would imply. The Lansdowne facility on Union Avenue this is where you have to go for other services such as obtaining a passport. It is a very convenient location on the main strip in Yeadon on Church Lane. Across the street you will find several restaurants, stores, bakery, hair salon and a lawyers office. On the side of the building you will find ample parking. If you just have mail and do not want to go in there is a drive-by mailbox where you can leave your mail on Whitby Avenue at the corner of Church Lane.

Social distancing rules are being in good use, because of COVID-19 (Corona Virus) Pandemic. Excellent work here! Line moves very fast. Air is comfortable. Not stuff or hot inside & the use sneeze guards to protect themselves (& others). The line starts anywheres on the ramp, but being that they are so very quick with their services it won't take long the line moves shorter. Once one person leaves from the line, another person may pass in. They have a lovely selection of Hallmark cards to choose from. Please vote for the postal services. They deserve $13 a hr. they do a lot of leg work besides using those trucks to get to route & the next location. I had family that worked in Chinatown in Philadelphia so I should know & parking is much more difficulty to find which means a lot, lot more leg work. This review is based on the post office in Glenolden, PA 19036. I went to the Glenolden post…read moreoffice (19036) on 8/24/22 at approximately 9:33 a.m. As I approached the window a gentleman was leaving and just shook his head at me. As I approached the window, the employee was sitting down staring at her phone. I placed my priority mail box into the slot of the plexiglass and pushed it towards her. She raised her head and asked "How can I assist you today." in a monotone voice. I said "Well, I want to mail some things". I thought this was obvious as the large box was right in front of her. As she took the box, I placed 4 priority mail padded envelopes in the slot. After finishing the box, she took one of the envelopes, typed what she needed to and printed the large label. She placed the label on the envelope, covering my return address. I said "Oh, you covered the return address." She looked at me, sighed and tried to peel the label off. She couldn't so she shoved the package at me and said "label won't come off, you can write the address on it". As she took my third package, I said "Please be careful not to cover the return address." She stopped, looked and me and snorted. I said "Excuse me?" She snorted again and continued inputting the package information. I asked "What's your name?" She looked at me and said "we're not playing this game." I said "What game? I simply asked your name." She said "we're not playing this game." Again, I asked "I simply asked your name. I don't know what the problem is." Employee "You ain't gonna give me a compliment." At this point I asked for her supervisor. She stopped what she was doing and said "No, you just want to start trouble." And then she stopped and stared at me. I asked "are you going to finish that?" (as she was in the middle of entering the information on my second package). She said "I am not gonna be disrespected." I said "Whatever, finish the package." She said "No, not until you apologize to me." (WHAT???) Wanting to end this confrontation, I said "I apologize." She said "Say please." I said "Please." I guess I sighed because she kept saying "you not gonna disrespect me. You made about the label over the address." I said "I simply asked you nicely to be careful." Again she stopped and looked at me. I said "Ok, just finish up." She again said "you disrespecting me". There were 2 men behind me and one said "Ladies, please. Life is too short." I said "I agree." She then loudly stated "I'm not gonna be disrespected." She finished my packages and I thought she missed one (the one on which I had to write my return address) and I said "Oh and this one." Then I noticed it was already done and said "Oh." and pushed it back to her. She snorted and laughed out loud. I paid with my credit card and hit "Print receipt". She took the receipt and started to write on it and I said "Please don't write on my receipt." (I have to input the tracking numbers and sometimes when the postal employees write on the receipts, it is hard to read the tracking number.) She stopped, looked at me and said "I have to". I said "No you don't." Still looking at me, she circled the scan code at the bottom, handed it to me and said "Have a blessed day." This is the second time she has waited on me and the first time did not go very well, but not to this level of unprofessional-ism. I have been using multiple locations of the postal service here in Delaware County (19032; 19074, 19094, etc.) and this is the WORST employee I have ever encountered. Before my recent two encounters at this location, the employee that worked at this location, Fred, was always very polite. (I had not been to this location in a few months) I contacted the recipients of the 5 packages I mailed and told them I had an "encounter" when mailing their items, so if the packages arrive damaged to please take pictures and contact me.
