This is a Very Solid Post Office that seems to run pretty smoothly even with a long line. I mean, sometimes you have to wait and that goes without saying. But as long as the line moves along quickly, I'm all good. I think they have a quality staff here and it shows. Especially in comparison to some of the other local towns in this area, hello? Zombie Postal Worker Alert! Lol. I'm thinking that this one might just be my new regular Post Office for all things shipping related. read more

US Post Office - Denville Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Denville, New Jersey

This is your typical small town post office. Staffed by friendly folks. Free street and on site parking. Open 6 day a week too. They have lots of P.O. boxes to rent with decent lobby-only hours so you can grab your mail at off hours. The much-larger parsippany post office has a self service shipping machine that I use several times a year. I wish we had this in a Denville too. We may be too small to support that technology but I can dream... The have lots of supplies to buy - tape, labels, boxes, etc., so you can bring in an item and leave knowing that it's in good hands. There's so much to love about Denville. People, shops, atmosphere... having a good, high quality post office too adds to the town's charm. Four stars only because I would like a self service mailing kiosk like parsippany. Else, top marks! read more

I've been on a bit of a roll reviewing some of the post offices I use simply because some are better than others. I don't like to paint with a broad brush, but in a nutshell I am discovering that the workers in suburban post offices seem to be much nicer than those in the inner city. Maybe it's just the one's I'VE been to, but haven't had the best of luck in and around Newark. Anyway, the Denville Post Office is pretty small with a tiny parking lot, but with staff that has always been helpful (YES, I know everyone has different experiences). Even though this PO is closer to my house than some of the other locations I use, they aren't my first choice...I just don't find myself heading in this direction when I usually need to mail a package. There have been times when I've been here with a long line and only one person at the counter, but that's when I find that killing them with niceness gets you a bit of help. These folks deal with PITAs all day and sometimes NOTHING will get them out of a bad mood, but a little pleasantness sometimes goes a long way... read more

I use this post office for our business needs and in my book they get an A+ for customer service. We recently mailed out a letter with no postage and I rushed to the post office as I soon as I was told and the mail clerk was very helpful and as well as the supervisor. I handed her an extra postage stamp and the info for the letter and she said she would take care of it as soon it came into the post office. That's service. Taking the time to listen to the customers and assist as best as they can. Thanks! read more

Efficient but greedy PO. I dropped in unexpectedly to return a package and needed 12" parcel tape, my local PO would have just taped it for me but these guys wanted me to buy a whole roll of tape. Luckily a customer in front of me who they just screwed in the same way gave me some. Perfect example of pay it forward . Denville residents get 5 stars. read more

Went into the post office to pick up a package. Show the clerk my drivers license which is from Texas where I am a resident the name on the package is the same which is an apartment that I rent. Wouldn't let me take the package even though I showed a prescription that I had just picked up with the identical address and name that I just picked up at Walgreens across the street. Manager was absolutely unhelpful and unenthusiastic about fixing the problem. Very rude bureaucrats! hope I never have to go back to this post office again. read more

The thing I find annoying is that this post office doesn't open until 9:30am which is really inconvenient. It's also very small and I have never seen more than one person working here. Its functional though as long as its open. Gets the job done. read more

The worst post office I have ever used. I won't even go in anymore and haven't for over a year. Rudest, slow staff. Now it's gotten to they can't even get the delivery of mail correct. If it's not mid delivering mail daily, or dumping mail for 3 consecutive houses in one mailbox, then it's completely missed or non attempted delivery. That's today. They leave packages daily but today for the first time in the 42 years since the house was built, he location is not secure. Unreal with these clowns read more

They're just rude and try to make things sugar coated so thy don't look bad for making mistakes . Well here's your reputation , you claimed to me one phone call that "we're here to help you , alright?" Okay ,. So that's reassuring and then .... I call back and you're rude with me when I asked what the package was whether or not it was a bag or box & I even said "okay I was just asking a question out of curiosity " i got a package delivered from American eagle and my father said he never received it and that's the first time this has ever happened . No stars would be my true score! Way to go USPS stealing from children at Halloween! Mailed Halloween cards to my two granddaughters who live in California each containing a small gift card for the movies. The cards were clearly for children being orange envelopes and having some fun stickers on them. One letter was clearly cut open at the top the other carefully opened and both gift cards removed! Both cards did arrive missing the gift cards; the one that was purposefully slit open at the top was stamped it was damaged in processing; seriously? Bunch of thieves are handling your mail; be careful what you send! read more

Received a final notice for a shipment for something for my wedding on 12/23 that was dated for 12/22... I never received any other notice of attempted delivery prior to that!! Also, my security cameras show no one attempting to deliver a package at my door at any time. When I went on to reschedule the delivery, it was already sent back to sender. So disappointed at the blatant lies from my postal delivery driver. I get that it's busy bc of the holidays, but that is also your job that you choose to do so have some more respect for people and their packages and don't lie about attempting deliveries. I'm constantly having problems with this postal service.. I'm tempted to start getting my packages delivered to a friends address to avoid the constant disappointment. read more

Waited on a long line to return a package. They wanted me to use one of their labels instead of the one I had already filled out and taped to the package. Instead of just grabbing one from behind the desk and copying the address for me this woman rudely told me to fill out another label "while I waited back on line." I am standing there in awe holding bags in one hand an my infant daughter in her car seat in the other with the look of "really?" on my face. I walked out. Absolutely no interest in helping, in fact went out of her way to avoid helping. read more
