I needed to ship company products back to an office, so I wanted a place that could take care of everything. There is a small parking lot on site which is much more convenient than looking for street parking. The employee packaged up the electronics securely in a box. He told me it would cost extra, but better a professional do it than me if things were going to arrive in one piece. I have been carting around Christmas gifts for almost a week waiting to find time to pack them all and ship. I asked someone in a store in Montclair where to go and they directed me here. I should have written this a year ago, but better late than never. Starting under COVID, this facility no longer scans prepaid shipments when you bring them in. They say just leave it here and your photo is your receipt. Well, I returned an iPhone to Apple here and stupidly didn't take a photo. Apple never received it and since it was never scanned into the Fedex system, I was out over $800. From now on, smaller items go into the Fedex dropbox a little bit further South down (and on the other side of ) Valley. For larger items, I bite the bullet and go to Kinko's in Clifton. When possible, I ship at the UPS Store. I am not accusing the staff of taking my phone. Someone else could have bene dropping off something, recognized what was in there, and pocketed it. I don't see how Apple can't block the IMEI or serial number as stolen, but they didn't. In any case, I am out $800 because I couldn't prove I dropped it off and until I hear from Fedex that a photograph is sufficient proof or Montclair Shipping Plus changes its policy to "scan when asked," I will not be dropping off anything at this center and I strongly discourage anybody else from doing the same. read more

First I went to UPS ( in Montclair ). They told me $27.99 to box/ ship my package. Then they could not print the label from my iPhone . They told me to go to Staples and come back . I went right around the corner to Montclair Shipping . They only charged $4.99 and they not only printed my label , but they also charged my iPhone AND gave out little bags of holiday chocolate . Why go to the USPS when these helpful and nice people can help you? They take care of FedEx and UPS and even have a xerox machine, you can print from a usb drive, and I think you can email them something to print to. Seems old school but was so helpful when my printer broke unexpectedly and I needed something printed. read more

I've been using Montclair Shipping for years, and think it's a great community service. Love the friendly and helpful service, love that they have copiers and a notary and a bunch of other stuff that you might need even though it hasn't occurred to you yet! Shipped Fedex package and told them specifically the cheapest method of shipping and told them to charge my account. They told me it will ship ground even though the Airbill said Fedex super saver. Now I see my credit card was charged 219.00 instead of 60.00. That is really bad the way they do things over there. The shipping agent specifically said ground but using the same form. I've never written a negative review of anything previous to this, but the employees at this business made so many mistakes in shipping my international Fed Ex package that it got stuck in customs for weeks. A complete disaster. Fed Ex is very angry with them. I have had to spend no less than four full hours on the phone with Fed ex in two countries to fix the situation. read more

I like this place, I have used them for more than 10 years. I used them more years ago before the net and packaging became computerized. I still use them for tricky situations and to drop off ups packages for pickup. Prefer them to the UPS store, by far. read more
