My package clearly had my address in Huntsville, TX. How come 6 days after informed delivery said it was delivered, it is now in Warrendale, PA?? I am not sure why the employees at the PO are so confused because just a few days ago my bank debit card, clearly with my name and address on it, was delivered to a neighbor, who fortunately returned it to me. And to put the cherry on the flopped cake, I am not able to submit a claim until after the 27th of June, even though my package is in a whole different state, after being mailed from Houston, TX, not even a good 1 hour away! They never answer the phone. They are very rude and hostile/entitled most of the time. They mark your packages as delivered and then bring them back 2 to 3 days later (if you are lucky). Sometimes I have seen them just toss a package (almost a throw) into the box or just straight on the ground. Got 3 houses at the end of the road and instead of sorting the mail where it goes they will just put it all in 1 box. The list goes on. After multiple complaints each assigned a case number to Consumer Affairs/PostMater Houston Northern District which supervises Huntsville received a initial contact call Dec 13 from district whole purpose was to tell me someone from the district office we be contacting me. Suggested everyone with a legitimate complainant to go online write reviews first and then contact USPS Consumer Affairs. At 7:32 am got a call from Belinda at Huntsville PO 3160 SH-30, Huntsvill, Tx on Dec 14 calling to let me know ... "somebody from the district will be calling you. I turn it over to them so that they can explain to you how things are done. I know it's kind to hard to understand" I have earned 2 Bachelors degrees, a Master of Science,, and a Doctorate. All with honors. It is not hard to understand incompetence! First it is insulting to insinuate it is my lack of understanding on their incompetence to hold my mail. Belinda, did not leave a last name or identify her position at PO Incompetence! Belinda called at 7:32 am.. "if you need anything give me a call I have been working nights so I usually leave out around 9 10 o'clock in the morning but if you need anything my name is Belinda thank you Sir" Message left at 7:32 am from 936-295-4632. Called back at 8 am Automated message "offices are closed". No way to return call before 9 am Belinda was not aware?? Called back at 9:03 am selecting Operator option. Fist call rang numerous times before someone at PO disconnected call. Called 7 times, until 9:32 am. Four times call was disconnected. Never able to get employee to answer. Incompetence! Evident Belinda, assuming a supervisor, call (3 rings) leaving a message at 7:32 am was to pacify her superiors, shift blame to a customer's lack of understanding also assuming so she could leave at 8 am. NOT 9 10 o'clock Ignorant & incompetent!! Assuming I have a higher degre of education then Belinda, obviously a better understanding of competence in the business world, especially when it involves customer service... 'customer is always right" instead of blaming incompetence on customer's inability to understand. Ignorant & arrogant! Not hard to understand Mail was still being delivered 12 days after a 30 day hold was filled out and six visits to PO to confirm hold in place and get an explanation why a 30 day hold placed Dec 1 was not being enforced. On Dec 12 stopped carrier at mailbox attempting to deliver a 1-2 Priority Mail package (on sixth day) to same mailbox that hold was placed 12 days earlier! What is hard to understand about incompetence magnified by laziness, ignorance and arrogance!? Advise to FedEx or UPS whenever possible, where employees have an accountability related job performance and customer service. In addition to on time mail deliver. PO staff yesterday was still "pushing sales" on 1-2 Priority Mail & Insurance without informing customers taking minimum of 6 days and price includes $100 insurance. It is a sad day when you mail a piece of mail to a post office box and you know it is correct and the post office sends it back to you as "not deliverable as addressed". To me that says they are lazy and do not care! This particulare piece of mail was mailed on 7/18 and we received it back today 9/6. It was mailed in Huntsville to a Huntsville PO Box. Let me start with the good. Almost always, the staff working the desk at the Huntsville, Texas post office are friendly and efficient. Unfortunately have have to go see these people nearly every week due to issues with not receiving packages. We have issues about 1 out of 3 Amazon orders that ship though this PO. The issues are the same two: Shipments that claim Delivery Attempted but unsuccessful Shipments that show delivered but were never received As a business that is open M-F, I don't understand how a shipment could be attempted on a Tuesday and that delivery not be successful? We are HERE. I can only assume that the carrier just didn't want to bring the package to the door; however, there may be another reason? Shipments that show "delivered" are also baffling and frustrating. Again I can make only 2 assumptions. Either the carrier delivered it to the incorrect address or they were just dishonest. We track and expect Amazon shipments and know that we have an issue with 1 out of 3. What we DON'T know is about all of the mail that we don't know is coming and what happens to those "deliveries"? Our guys have mostly given up on the Huntsville Texas Post Office and just have their Amazon deliveries shipped to their homes (outside of Huntsville). Like them, I don't have issues with the local post office where I live and I don't think that the Huntsville Texas post office is a good representation of ALL post offices. Based on the number of one star reviews, perhaps the person in charge of this post office (good luck finding out who that is) should start paying attention or get a new job. The Post Office Mail Person was too lazy to get out of their vehicle and put my package on the front porch. My package started out shipping through another delivery service but changed to US Postal Service. The USPS said that I requested the shipment to be held for collection at the Post Office. Lies! I was here at the house and didn't speak to anyone and they did not try to deliver it! This is typical for this Huntsville Texas Postal Office. That's why they are going broke. They don't care about their quality of work or the community they serve. They are a disgrace! Shipping costs too much for their lack of responsibility. Worst customer service I've ever experienced at a mailing facility. Every single time that I come in the staff is so rude, many of the staff are incompetent or just do not care about their jobs. I went in with my wife to get her passport and were told to come back in an hour. We went back an hour later at 2:40. We were told to sit and someone will be with us...3 people were seen before us and then it was our turn an hour later at 3:40. We were helped for about two minutes and then a manager told us to needed to take a seat so that they could help the other "retail customers". Ten minutes later and they said we would have to come back the next day to be helped because they are "too busy". Don't waste your time here. Why does the mail carrier NEVER bring the packages to the door or garage ? Every single time I have a package {that unfortunately gets shipped via post office} she places a note on the tracking info that 1) Mail Box was too Full 2) no one was home or 3) Unable to deliver. All of which are bold face lies, maybe except for No. 3 which should just read DON'T WANT TO DELIVER. Edit 02/25/2020: Wheelchair ordered for my father was supposed "delivered" on the 24th by way of a falsified "no one answered" note in the mailbox. According to the tracking, the carrier came at 09:05 and noted that no one was home. I was, so too was my father - no one ever knocked or rang our doorbell, and I had my curtains open in case the mail came. No one ever came by at 09:05, and the note from the carrier was delivered around 15:30 later that day. So, I rescheduled a delivery for today the 25th. Mail carrier came at 11:45, big Amazon box in the back seat, never got out or anything - this time leaving nothing in the mailbox about the package. I filmed her driving by coming up my street - within half an hour I received a call (!) from a local post office, from an exceedingly rude woman that proceeded to tell me that my package could not be delivered today because it's too heavy. It's weight with shipping fluff: 47.5lbs. USPS has policy for 70 pound packages - why was ours treated ths way? She told me the box had a picture on it with two people lifting it, so she needed to have a second carrier to deliver it; she also told me that all routes only ever have one carrier, and that it would be delivered if and when she could find a second carrier to help. I was given no information on when it would be delivered, or whether or not the package could be picked up from a post office. I am taking steps to file formal complaints. Original post: USPS, for years now, leave packages unattended in public view without knocking or ringing the doorbell - even when there are special instructions on the label. We've has this problem with a carrier, we complained, the next day he knocked to confront us at the door and tell us it is not his responsibility to knock or ring a doorbell. That it's just an option that he doesn't do - when asked if he'd appreciate if that happened to him, his reply was he didn't care because he doesn't order thing to be delivered. On multiple occasions my Amazon package says delivered then doesn't show up for a week later or not at all. I've watched the mailman pull up to my mailbox then drive off. Then saying it was undeliverable. Never trying to deliver to the door. I've called to complain multiple times but it still happens. I have never seen such a poor post office. I've called Amazon to complain and they will give refund or mail a new item. I suggest if this is happening with your Amazon packages start calling Amazon. Once they start losing enough money they will get involved or start Amazon delivery here. read more

Terrible service. Awaited for a package that needed to be signed for. Wife stayed home to sign for it. Postman never stopped in and marked it as an attempted delivery. Needed the package for Sunday. I was not able to go to their office and pick out up until Monday. I had to cancel a Sunday tournament because of their inconsiderate lack of effort. This has happened more than once. This is the rudest set up people I have ever encountered. as i stood in line for 30 minutes, I waited the manger talk to people that had questions, she was rude, sarcastic and had a bad attitude with people who were simply asking questions. When it was my turn I was told they could not ship out my package because of the pre paid shipping label I had, she told me I had to go to fed ex. I pulled up the email saying to return it to the post office OR to fed ex. Given that there is no fed ex store in town I took it to the post office. The lady I talked to was rude and did not want to take the time time to get me issue figured out, because I in fact could return my item through the post office. A post office lacking in good management. If a package is to be delivered, they will claim the mailbox is too full rather than attempt delivery. I know that many in my neighborhood have complained of the poor service to no avail. I do agree that counter people are wonderful...but the carriers are less than diligent. I haven't received any email about my refund and when I called the post office asking if my package was there the rude lady said "we weren't suppose to take it." Worst customer service ever. My package showed online that it was being returned to sender, so I called to see why and if it could be redirected. The woman that answered (Yolanda?--couldn't really understand her) was extremely rude and could care less to actually do her job and help figure it out. Turns out that it was their incompetence that was the problem in the first place, but of course she blamed it on the sender even though the shipping label proved it was the post office's fault. I understand mistakes happen, but there was no reason to be so short and disrespectful, especially when I had given her no reason. She definitely shouldn't be working in customer service with that bad attitude. I'd rather pay more to have it shipped through UPS than deal with people like her. read more

I don't know who posted those reviews saying this post office is good. I have lived in there delivery area for 10 yrs. I have no stop problems with them lost packages, returned my bills for no reason. I even with to my Congressmans office Kevin Brady. The post office has a bad attitude its like they challenge you saying who you going to tell the postmaster in charge is the same way. This location is very disorganized. Yesterday my husband was expecting a package, he was outside working in the yard when the package was due to arrive. Instead he received a cellular notice saying "we were unable to deliver your package". The driver did not leave a pink slip for package pickup. They didn't even attempt to deliver the package. So today I went to pick up the package, and was told without a pink slip, I can't take the package. Luckily my license has my address on it so they gave it to me, along with several excuses as to why this happened. Last time we had a problem, it was because the postal driver left my package at the mailbox. I live on a road where I can't see my mailbox from my door. I have to drive down my road to get it. That is, if the package is even still at the mailbox when I get there. Also, my husband, while on the phone to put the package on hold, the manager got rude with him when he mentioned we're still getting mail for the old residents for our house. She said bring it in next time or write wrong address on it. We did and have been. This is a sad excuse for management. And needs to be addressed by corporate. read more
