I thought it was just Me, until reading all the yelps here about our local post office. It's like ALL customer service everywhere, it doesn't exist! The US postal service is NOT what it used to be, they can't even get a live person for you to talk to when you call in for whatever. They put a package I ordered on the 28Jul in a wrong bin and for a package that was only traveling about a two hour drive from where I bought it, and as a result it went all the way to Nebraska and is now in Colorado and won't be here for at least another 4 freaking days. I don't even go to the local PO for anything as they are a complete SH/T show, with the exception of thei the Post Master there, he was very helpful and didn't talk like he was blowing sunshine up your kazoo. Every time I drop off prepaid parcels, they don't ship them for days or even scan them in. This happens every time! There is no point in using prepaid because if you don't hand your package to them and ensure it's scanned in, it will not be sent out for days. You have to take in your prepaid package, stand in line, and make sure the person at the counter scans it. They even told me that if I drop them off, they will not scan them in. This seems to be the way they operate here in Klamath Falls, Oregon. It appears to be a strategy to avoid doing their job. If a package gets scanned and they don't process it, it shows they are not fulfilling their responsibilities. If more people took the time to call the proper channels to notify the post office about what's going on, maybe we could see some change and have some of these complacent, lazy, and incompetent workers replaced. They don't open until 9:30am and I won't hold use them again for a certified letter. SAID my certified letter woukd be delivered the 18th. I just moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon 7 weeks ago. This area has had the biggest Snowfall in years making it difficult to get out in this weather. I needed to mail 2 Priority Mail Envelopes out with the carrier who delivers mail at my address. I waited all day February 13, 2025 and finally I saw the Mail Jeep coming to my home at approx. 7:25 PM, so I jetted out my front door to meet them at the street and ask if they could take my Priority Mail Envelopes. I wear a KN95 Mask due to my poor health when interfacing closely with anyone. The mail carrier took my envelopes and then began a very opinionated lecture on how he felt sorry for me that I was brainwashed into wearing a mask and that I was breathing my own Carbon Dioxide and the only one I was helping was him as the mask was ONLY keeping my spit off of him. He continued on until I got to my door, ripped off my mask and told him that I was NOT brainwashed just had NO immune system due to Cancer and almost dying of COVID and didn't appreciate his opinionated lecture. Do you have Research Scientist and Doctors delivering mail in the evening? If NOT, it is your job to respect the Customer who just spent $16.80 in Postage to use the USPS Service. My carrier keeps delivering my packages to the wrong address. Recently twice in the same week. He clearly is not reading the addresses on the packages and just dropping them off at the wrong addresses . Something needs to be done to ensure everyone is getting their mail. I'm so unhappy with this post office. I dropped off some pre-paid packages a couple days ago and they have not moved an inch. They have not even been scanned as accepted. I've been extremely stressed out because this is foreign to me. I grew up in a town much smaller than Klamath Falls and packages always went out the day you dropped them off, as long as it was before they closed. In addition to selling on eBay for the past 19 years, never has a post office neglected to ship out packages. The amount of stress I feel is overwhelming, as I currently have a severe sore throat and can barely talk. Just getting out of bed is a mental process. My body is massively drained of all energy. Now I have to go to the post office and beg them to send my stuff out. Which I can't do for another 2 days cause it's July 2nd. Tomorrow is Sunday and Monday is the 4th. So best case senecio at this point is I brought them to the post office on July 1st and the post office mails them out on the 5th, but I don't have confidence it will be an easy "can you check the shipping bin" conversation. I am contacting you about one of your carriers. I live at Tingley Lake Estates. Saturday evening, January 27th the evening carrier came through our park driving at least 30 MPH in a posted 15 MPH zone. When she got up to the first row of mailboxes, after attending to them, she peeled out from the boxes scattering gravel clear across the road into the carports. I didn't think that postal carriers was aloud to smoke or vape while they are delivering the mail. I was sitting in my car in the driveway when 2postal carriers walked past me to put my mail in the mail box. One of them let out this big cloud of smoke. So they won't drop off a package because of dog. Every time I go in to get my package it is like they have no system to figure out where the package is. They have to look seriously 20-30 minutes each time. I think they just throw the package somewhere in the building and it's best guess to figure out where. You would think there was a system in place that would tell them where the package located. They look at my slip every time and just start looking around like hey I had that in my hand earlier and what did I do with it. If I could give a negative rating I would. I moved up here 2 months ago from California and these are the experiences I had with the KFPO. Because I'm renting, naturally, I receive mail from the last tenant, which is not a problem, just cross off the address, put a line through the bar code, mark not at this address, put it back in the mail box and raise the flag, right? No! The mail person just kept delivering mail without taking what was in there. I had to physically go to the Post Office to return the other tenants mail and make sure it got on it's way. I haven't been receiving my bills, had to call a couple of places to make sure they had the correct address, which they did. It's just not getting to my address. So, I went to the Post Office to speak to a manager, neither one was in at the time so I left my name and number. That was 4 business days ago. So, I've tried calling.... They won't pick up their phone any time of day and there is not an option to leave a voice message. This behavior is absolutely ridiculous. I'm a retired Postmaster, just recently moved to the area. Would love to be a Mystery Shopper for this office. The lobby is nicely stocked and clean. All three of the SSA's at the window are friendly and professional, even with the long line waiting for them when they opened this morning. I was 6th in line, and had my transaction completed within 5 minutes. Because I had to wait for help to carry my packages out, I enjoyed watching the team here provide such excellent service to many customers. Good work! read more

I primarily use the post office for packages and letters that require tracking . I always receive friendly service. The PO also holds my mail occasionally. I am very happy with that service. The mail carriers who deliver my mail are very helpful. read more

Today - January 16, 2019 We've "suffered-along" with the random unprofessional issues and "lazy, uncaring" carriers since moving here in 2000, but today demands a formal COMPLAINT to the Postmaster. This complaint is about the non-usual carriers - our regular delivery person is VERY good and caring. 1) MANY, MANY, MANY times the mail will be left in the box, even tho ugh the carrier needs to bring a parcel to our door. 2) SEVERAL times a package has just been left atop the 4 mailboxes on the post - I'll admit, these vulnerable packages have been left there in non-rainy weather. 3) We have recently replaced our mail box - it's NEW. Today the carrier J A M M E D a very large parcel into the box, BREAKING-OFF the flag. I tried (while standing in the rain) unsuccessfully to reattach the flag but until the weather changes it's sitting on my porch. Please understand, this overall complaint is not a money issue, even if I need to re-buy a new box - it's a LOUD complaint about the attitude of the carriers, and again, not our regular lady. I was a regular clerk-carrier in Newberg for many years in the 1950s. I realize the organization has changed significantly since then, but I ASSURE you, my Postmaster (then)[ would not tolerate such undisciplined and unprofessional acts by any of our team. [I have already been told (neighbors) this complaint will fall on deaf ears, so no response is necessary or expected]. DO NOT trust this post office to deliver your packages, just pay the extra money for FedEx or UPS ground to avoid having to deal with this post office. Especially if you live in an apartment. They WILL NOT even attempt to deliver your package, they act like it's not there job. I HAVE NEVER, in ten years of living here in Klamath Falls, received a package from this post office at my address. FedEx and UPS ground on the other hand have always delivered. They will do whatever it takes to get into our building and drop off a package, they act almost as if it's they're job. Imagine that. Most recently I had to wait all day for the local post office truck to show up and deliver what apparently was supposed to be several parcels/packages on the same tracking number. This was several days after the expected delivery and nothing showed up, no notice in the mailbox or on the door, nothing. But a search of the tracking number reported it delivered. So I called the post office which claimed it was on the truck again for delivery. I waited for them to show up and asked about my package. And by the way they had no failed "attempt", if you can even call it that, letter to leave in my mailbox. They did not have the package in hand which tells me they make no attempt to deliver packages. The women says "yeah if you want to come out to my truck and grab it", as I'm standing there at the front door with no shoes and there is 4 inches of snow on the ground. So I walk over to the truck, she hands me one of four packages I was supposed to receive, asks me if I know someone else in the building, I say I'll let her in so she can deliver the package, AND I KID YOU NOT, she says no I'll just leave a notice. I go "why? I'll let you in" and she says that they're instructions are to leave a notice and not deliver a packages to our apartment. THEN WHY ARE THEY IN YOUR TRUCK!? Why not leave them at the post office so we can at least go and pick them up ourselves. Why is it called a failed attempt, when you clearly make no attempt at all to deliver anything. And then you go to the post office and everyone there has an awful attitude, they're rude, their customer service sucks, they act like their job and you being there is somehow a massive inconvenience to them. I moved to Klamath Falls 4 years ago. The first year I was here an important document was not delivered to me through the mail and it ended up costing me several thousand dollars to resolve the issue with the IRS. I figured the document had been stolen from my mail box and chalked it up to needing to be more vigilant about having my mail picked up when I was out of town. Since then I have missed invitations because I never received them and various other things that I have chalked up to people using the wrong address or just forgetting to mail them. But when I got a call from the water department to ask what was going on I began to wonder. The water department - who has been mailing my bill to the exact same address for 3 years - called to say they received my bill back with "undeliverable." Then, I was contacted by Butte County in California. They had received my tax bill back as "undeliverable" even though they were using the same address as before. Recently, my father passed away and Social Security has not been able to get paperwork to us because the mail service is not delivering it. What is going on? I thought the mail service was suppose to be one thing we could count on! I am so frustrated and I don't know what I can even do about this! These are important documents that I need to get! Priority shipping has the motto.. "If it fits- it ships!" However- that's not so! The blonde lady- which seems to be the KFPO Mail Nazi- states that the flaps on the box must be completely flat. Is this [her] rule- or the rule of the Post Office? I haven't been able to find this [rule] on any of the Post Office websites. I'd rather pay the extra- if any- and ship through UPS. I have mail I never received that I know was sent. I have had letters torn almost in half. I have had packages that were opened just enough so they could be looked into.I have had packages torn open.This is all within a 4 year time period .This is the shadiest post office I have ever had the misfortune to deal with.This is all taking place inside the post office as I use a p.o. box. read more
