basically was shoved out the door! lost a back off my diamond earring that was purchased there. I came to see if they had a replacement back. I was told I would have to leave the earring to be cleaned and pick it up late afternoon. there isn't anything to fix just need a back. the sales clerk said she had to take the earring back to the guys in back to get one because she didn't know where to look, but they were real busy right now and she acted scared to go back and ask. Over the years, husband's family have used Holliday as their family jeweler. My wedding ring was bought here custom made and diamond hand picked. I bought my husband's ring custom made there. He bought me pearl earrings and necklace from there when we dated. And I also have a Holliday classic diamond watch he also bought me when we dated. Both things I wore on my wedding day. Thank you for the fantastic repair work on my wedding ring. A couple of years back, I lost one of the diamonds in my bezel setting. I sincerely would recommend going elsewhere for your jewelry due several reasons. One due to a lack of adherence to CDC and state mandates for masks and social distancing. The staff do not practice safe social distancing at all, neither do they wear their masks as required at all times. And despite the sign on the door that very clearly states masks are needed, they do not enforce masks for customers. The second being that I have personally heard staff and management make fun of a customer's choice of ring, center stone and budget. That being said if you have a large budget and are not concerned with masks, this is definitely the store for you. read more

Here is my experience. I don't know if it is the norm or if it was an anomaly but I felt like it should be shared. I am new to Klamath and so didn't know who is reputable or not . .. saw that this jeweler had good google reviews and I had a ring with a small diamond missing , The store itself is clean and bright , and the staff personable and friendly. There were customers coming and going , which showed me that the locals had confidence in this store. I left my ring and they called me with a price. I thought it was high . the repairs that they were making came to almost a third of what the ring had cost me and the small missing diamond was one of 8. .. but I went ahead and okayed it . They called me when it was supposed to be ready and let me know that they needed more time. I approved. The day that it was supposed to be ready I never received a call so I went in. It was done, and they did a nice job. I had discussed with them that I wanted a credit for the band of gold that they had replaced.. and was told that they would have that ready for me and weigh it out in front of me so that I could see the weight.. but I guess that they had forgotten that as the old piece was not there and I had to mention it and have them go and retrieve it in order to get credit. I left a second ring with them to be cleaned and to have the jeweler look at to make sure that it didn't need any repairs. When I went back the next day I was told that 4 of the 5 stones were loose and that it would cost over $140 to have repaired. I declined as I hadn't noticed any loose stones and thought I should get another opinion. The girl asked if I would like the red ink removed from the ring which was marking the "loose" stones. I said yes. She went to clean it and then came back and told me that the carriage underneath the ring had a crack in it . It would be an additional $45 to repair. So now it was going to cost $185 total. At that point I told her that maybe I would have them go ahead and repair it but that I was concerned as to why the jeweler whose job it had been to inspect the ring had not mentioned that . She asked if I wanted to speak to a manager. I didn't feel like that was necessary but a sharp eared manager came over anyhow. When I explained that I was disappointed that a professional whose job it was to look over the ring had failed to notice a defect that was so obvious that the girl that was cleaning the ring saw it , his response was that it was human error.. that they have a lot of traffic and were very busy. I immediately took the ring and put it in my pocket and walked out . "Too busy " is never an acceptable excuse for subpar work. I immediately took the ring to another local jeweler. She showed me .. unlike the other jeweler who told me ..that all of the diamonds were very secure except for one.. and yes there was a crack in the carriage. Total cost to repair ? Under $70. I'm glad that I got a second opinion... wish I had a second opinion with the first ring. read more
