It has now been one full year since Center Ossipee NH post office employees began a systematic campaign of retaliation and harassment against us solely because we filed a complaint online against a horrible carrier who randomly did not deliver our packages for no reason during all seasons for over a 2 year period. During that time I tried repeatedly to go to the post office, speak with L. Pendarvis and hope the situation would be dealt with. I never at any time spoke to the carrier about this issue; I felt it was the right thing to do to go to the postmistress instead. Whenever I went there, I was immediately met by Lorey having a defensive, 'pissy' attitude. I was always polite, but Lorey simply would never listen or take any action whatsoever. One day the carrier DID NOT deliver our package, but left a note saying "PACKAGE DELIVERED TO PORCH". No package was anywhere on the property, causing us to run up and down the street checking with neighbors to try and find our package. Finally we went to the post office where Lorey hid in the back room making a phone call so we would not hear. She came back and said our package was 'with the carrier', (duh), and she didn't know 'why she would have left the note saying delivered to porch'. She looked uncomfortable and shifty-eyed while saying this. This was the last straw, and so after over 2 years of having this totally incompetent carrier we finally filed a complaint online. This has now been a year of employees at the post office not delivering our packages, and of calling us on the phone only to yell and harass us, and to take part in creating false narratives and lies about us with the collusion of the agents at USPS (OIG, Maine) as a means to try and justify their withholding or our mail. Things became even more serious last June when we we received anonymous phone calls threatening us and a pet. We called the police and met with a sheriff's sergeant. We did online sleuthing and were able to discover who the person was, and the Ossipee police and Sheriff's dept. officers went to their home where they were told they would be arrested if there was one more episode. A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WAS ALSO FILED AGAINST THEM AT THE TIME. It's important to know that the sergeant stated that this harassment had happened AS A DIRECT RESULT OF EMPLOYEES OF CENTER OSSIPEE POST OFFICE MAKING FALSE AND INFLAMMATORY STATEMENTS ABOUT US WHILE AT WORK, TO RANDOM CUSTOMERS WHO DID NOT KNOW US. This then was the catalyst for someone to decide to anonymously threaten us. Yes, this is the kind of sick people working at USPS and at our local post office. We started early on to record every conversation with those employees when we realized that we had to fight against their outrageous lies. We installed a security camera. Now, a year later, this retaliation continues. This carrier lies repeatedly, makes up stories, and has never been reprimanded, held accountable, or lost her job. Linda is a despicable liar and an idiot. Recently she has told her bosses that she didn't deliver a small package to the mailbox because it was "too heavy". IT CONTAINED 2 POUNDS OF PROTEIN POWDER IN A PLASTIC CONTAINER WITHIN A COMPACT BOX. Another day she didn't deliver because she said she 'couldn't use her reaching stick'. ANOTHER DAMN LIE! I WATCHED HER FROM THE WINDOW RECENTLY AND SHE NEVER USED A STICK TO PUT PACKAGES I THE BOX. ALSO, DOES THIS SLEAZY LADY NOT REALIZE SHE IS ON CAMERA????? WE HAVE PROOF THAT HER EXCUSES ARE LIES. I was told recently that what had happened to us was not acceptable and would not continue, and that we would get ALL OUR MAIL/PACKAGES DELIVERED, yet the abuse continues. This is directed to employees of Center Ossipee post office since we know you see complaints. We are holding you accountable for the disgusting retaliation and abuse that continues. Months ago we had a CEASE AND DESIST LETTER SENT TO LOREY PENDARVIS/(LINDA/OTHERS) DUE TO HER/THEIR VICIOUS GOSSIPING THAT HAD CAUSED THE HARASSMENT AND CRIMINAL COMPLAINT WE HAD TO FILE. WE ARE STILL CONSIDERING TAKING LEGAL ACTION AGAINST THESE PEOPLE DUE TO OUTRIGHT SLANDER AGAINST US. Due to the fact that this has now been ongoing for a full year, we have just again sent a package of material to someone at USPS in Washington DC who has to do with RETALIATION, ABUSE, AND HARASSMENT AGAINST CUSTOMERS. Do you people not understand that we have physical proof? We have audio of what you have said. We have video of the carrier delivering and NOT DELIVERING PACKAGES, and PROOF THAT SHE HAS LIED! We have police reports. We have witnesses that have come forward to us that heard you and offered to testify against you;. We are responsible, contributing citizens who have lived here for over 26 years. We have never had an issue with a carrier, etc., and never had to make a complaint before a year ago. lazy can't even read the package when it says unit 1 and you deliver to unit 2 and it's Christmas time and my family lives in unit 2 nothing like having my parents see what I'm buying for Christmas huh and another time you said there's a problem delivering my mail because there was stones in my driveway and it was even in your way the walkway to the front door was more then accessible so wasn't my mailbox if your not gonna do the job let the professionals like ups Amazon kids or fed ex deliver it you people aka the postal circus just stick to deliver the mail bills and so forth do better your our government I have zero faith in you people do better I've ask Amazon to not use usps for my packages for this reason but it's not my choice read more

The worst employees I have every experienced. I went to the post office today to get some stamps. I couldn't find street parking so went in their parking lot (which I shouldn't have but I was only going in for a minute and the lot was wide open). I told the man working at the desk I would need a few books of stamps. When he grabbed them, I said I would need about 60 total. He responds "So three books. You already said that." He actions and tone were extremely rude. As I'm grabbing my stamps, a woman comes in and says "Who is the black jeep in the lot?" I said it was mine and can move it. She responded "You must move NOW." practically yelling at this point. I said nothing and immediately walked out to my car to move it. She followed behind me and began rudely asking why I thought parking there was okay. I said "I'm moving it like you asked" and ignored her questions. She began badgering me, following close behind me while I walked to my car. I simply asked her to stop following me, and she said she was going to call the cops. I have never been harassed by an employee at a business before. The workers here are miserable, unpleasant people and they take it out on their customers. I've been using the Meredith Postal Service for over 30 years. I've always found the employees at the desk and delivery personnel to be courteous and helpful. When I think about the enormous amount of mail that is processed by USPS, they do a terrific job. Sure there may be lost mail and stuff sent to the wrong address. I've had it happen to me. In my situation it was the sender that was not clear on the forwarding address. I can't think, in all these years, that the mail didn't eventually show up. Kudos to the Meredith Post Office. Best not to use this service. A fish rots from the head down. I suspect the incompetence at this office begins at the top. I have run businesses all my life and demanded the highest performance from my employees and more so from myself. Laziness and inefficiency are evident at this office. Mail delivery is a sacred task as it is for many an important life-line. I suggest using alternative private carriers whenever possible. read more

This post office doesn't always deliver packages. They've sent things back without trying to deliver. They usually deliver late when ups/usps shipping is involved. They need a visit from the postal inspectors to discus their delaying the u s mail. read more

I put a check in the mail for payment on my credit card. It has never posted and apparently has been lost in the mail! It has cost me interest charges and a stop payment charge from the bank of $35! Mail service is definitely not what it used to be!! I won't be sending anything of importance thru the mail any longer. Learned the hard way. read more

Worst post office I've ever been to. Have had multiple packages just never show up, and the most recent time, the delivery woman handed my packages to someone who wasn't me! I got a notification at work saying my package had been hand delivered to me which clearly wasn't true. I called them after work, the man with glasses (I don't know his name unfortunately) didn't want to help at all. He finally says, "okay, I'll put you on a brief hold," and proceeds to have a conversation with the phone on the table with the post carrier, and she says "oh that got stolen, I gave it to some girl in purple," loud and clear. Now, at this point I've been on "hold" for ten minutes. I live in Meredith. I got my kids in the car, drive to this place, wait in line (my phone still held to my ear) and when I finally get up to the counter, the rude dude in glasses had no clue what I was talking about. I said, "I'm the customer you put on hold ten minutes ago about your carrier giving my packages to other people." He was shocked, rolled his eyes, walked out back for all of three minutes, came back and said yeah there's nothing we can do here... even though they acknowledged THEY GAVE MY PACKAGE TO A RANDOM PERSON IN THE PARKING LOT OF MY COMPLEX. This ended in me confronting the girl in purple, getting my shit back, and I have been hunting for a way to report this post office to their higher power ever since. DO NOT HAVE YOUR MAIL SENT TO THIS POST OFFICE! NOT EVEN THEIR PO BOXES. Save yourself the headache. read more

Wrong mail ends up in my mailbox, my mail is left on top of the mailbox by others who have received it. This US post office is loaded with a bunch of loosers ! The delivery man is top banana, with no help from the rest of the workers in the Main Street, post office. Never had a problem like this with any other US Post office anywhere. sorry. read more

This has to be the worst post office I have ever had servicing my home in 30 years. Mail constantly delivered to wrong boxes, packages received for neighbors while they receive mine. Employee turnover is completely ridiculous, in 2 years I must have had 8-10 new people. Each time bringing new issues. The first few months mail was delivered perfect and like clockwork. Now the mail shows up whenever if at all. I still receive a paycheck via the mail, typically Thursday and used to be early enough I could deposit it and have it cleared Friday mornings. Now it comes so late that the deposit happens Friday and it don't clear till Monday or Tuesday. In short I wish it was reliable but it's not. My neighbors are all having the same issue. Some of us live pay check to pay check and have had many late fees do to mail being delivered to a neighbor who checks mail once every couple weeks. How hard is it to read a name and house number and place in in the correct box? Unfortunately I can't recommend using USPS here. And UPS for one reason or another delivers between 8-9PM many days, so they are no better. read more

I'm not even sure how to deal with this place. We have to rely on them for mail, but they are beyond horrible. I've had packages that have tracked for delivery and taken two days once they arrive there before I can get them. They don't answer the phone and if you try to call customer service for the USPS regional office the wait time is generally between 45 minutes to an hour. If you report them or complain the postmaster will take it out on you personally and slow down things even more. I honestly do not know what to do at this point. I'm thinking of getting a PO box in another town, but heard that this post master runs several neighboring post offices. It's really a shame that an agency is allowed to hold us hostage like this. read more

I live in the out skirts of Meredith and I too get everyone else's mail in my box when they deliver it. I complained to Jamie the postmaster and said he would take care of it and it lasted for about a week. His answer was because they don't have a regular carrier for my route. Now I don't get my mail on Saturday's and sometimes I don't even get it during the week either. This is unacceptable and something needs to be done with this POST OFFICE!
