They are open on the weekends too. They also had people selling cards inside and shipping materials! We found where we can mail the letter, and mailed it. 5 stars for the easy experience in the post office. Not sure if this post office is responsible for the mail we get- but sometimes it can be slow. For instance, the app informed mail shows that mail will come- although it does say coming soon... but then i check the mailbox and it's empty. Although oftentime when that happens, we get the mail the next day. Also all packages so far have been received in a timely manner. I also noticed that mail often goes to columbia to get sorted, so maybe that's why it may be slow.

The staff here I have dealt with is all very nice except for a lady with short dark curly hair. She sighs and makes nasty faces at me. I usually bring 2-3 small packages in mailers. Just to have them scanned and to get a receipt because I need to be sure I have proof for the app I use to sell. She makes sure to be so kind and generous with praise to the people who drop the packages on the crowded table for drop off. She makes it clear it is a a HUGE inconvenience to scan 3 4-5 ounce mailers and hand me a receipt. She chucks my mailers with aggressive force as though hoping to damage them. I have never been so disappointed in my life with a postal worker! I always smile and just say" good afternoon! I just need a receipt for these please!" Ask her how she is (she ignores me). And tell her I hope she has a good day (she also ignores this) I'm not sure what I have done to wrong. It's not like it takes more than 30 seconds in all to complete the transaction. I feel disrespected and anxious when I end up having her as my clerk. I triple check to be sure they didn't lose my packages (I would be out the shipping and my item) that's why I always need a receipt. It's not a fun game for me it's how I afford to buy food and pay for gas with the crazy high inflation!

Handicapped parking is conveniently located near the door. Upon entering, a guard will guide you to check in via a computerized machine. A slip with a letter and 3 digit numbers are provided as your place in line.. You can check in there whether you have an appointment or not. If you are fortunate enough to get a chair, I'm guessing there are approximately 20 available in the seating area, as well as standing room. A TV is provided with commercials, as well as numbers that correlate to people's slips of who is being taken care of and who is being called. There is an audio call of the slip letter and number as well. My wait was well over an hour. A woman sitting across from me, was developing the sweats and she told her accompanying friend, that her sugar was running low. Being I'm a former R.N., I realize the emergence of this situation and gave her some mint candies I had in my handbag. She thanked me and ate them. The shaking she had just started to develop, had stopped and the sweats ceased. Finally she was called and I was called shortly after. My situation was taken care of, but as I walked out, I noticed no vending machines were in the lobby. I wondered what that woman would have done, had I not been there. I also thought about the parents of young children, who had no money for sitters, and brought the children there. The children became bored, started running around and tearing up papers. I think this office should provide some little comforts for these children, due to the long wait time. Even a milk or juice machine in the event that these long waits can cause hypoglycemia to another diabetic. For me, the chair was extremely uncomfortable, especially with my back condition. This office may be efficient, but some people that are collecting Social Security have disabilities and can use a little extra consideration.

I still get great service and all my packages get to their destinations without issue. The staff have all been very nice and helpful in every transaction. Some prices have increased, which does not surprise me since everything does. Note: this location is not a UPS store, they ship for the carriers but are not directly affiliated. I do my free Amazon returns at Kohl's or UPS directly. If you need mailing or shipping services, Coastal Postal is a convenient and easy provider to use.
