This is the 4th time my sons passport appointment is cancelled. Why do they say they offer the service?

Overall 2.75 stars. Its not like usps cares about reviews. I'll write one anyway! This post office is Conveniently located 7 minutes or so from home. I avoid the USPS w/ a passion because it usually means I'll be in a super long line and/or have a crabby worker LOL. Hubby hates it more than I do. He says they always mess up and they have a bad attitude. I prefer going to FedEx but that just meant a longer car ride, they also don't charge extra to pack your shipments, guess I'll take the ride when I feel like being cheap and not too lazy. Anywho at the USPS I've gotten dopey workers, but I always smile and treat them nicely and I'd say 99% of the time, they're nice back to me, and this last time the worker there was very helpful by printing out a receipt that I lost so I could then track my package. Like I said, I try to avoid coming here. I try to do everything I can online so as to not have to mail anything. I do use their outdoor mail drop sometimes. read more

Wish there was a -100 for the main hub. Automated customer service number. No way to contact a human. Lost SEVERAL of my shipments over the last couple year's. I get that things happen but why does everything stall once it reaches this location only to get lost ? Something needs to be done!! Ridiculous!! Hope mail in ballots don't go through here. Terrible service, a person named Sophia helped me when I made an appointment for a passport and she never gave me all the information I needed. I had to return twice and they have an attitude as if they did the work for free. I will never return to this place. In the heart of uncivilized society, lovely Newburgh! You'd think there would be metal detectors at the front doors but the city of Newburgh opted instead to install bullet proof glass for postal clerks safety. Since this location offers passport services I ventured into the good old Wild West where violence and crime rates are at an all time high. With my good old western six shooter I entered this post office with confidence. While my antiquated six shooter was really a toy replica it did provide a false sense of security. If you dare venture into this neck of the woods you'll find your average post office with bullet proof glass clerk windows and antique looking PO Boxes for rental. read more

I hate all USPS locations. They constantly give me false delivery notifications. Either the driver isn't trained or is lying to make numbers and go home. My missing packages will show up weeks later randomly. Boo USPS. Go back to working at Sonic. read more

In Sept.2017 my renters insurance had been canceled due to not receiving my renewal notice,after numerous attempts to call post office, I gave up....Then in nov.2017 my health insurance renewal was also cancelled due to not receiving my renewal...I am now on a mission as I do notice other apt. complexes mail in our mail area for weeks...all this is now creating a bigger mission..I remember hearing the mailman coming as i hear voices[he is on his cell] everyday.. Again i try calling p.o.again no answer..after about a week a female answered, I explained she said she would speak to mail carrier..now i keep seeing more and more mail in our mail area not belonging in this complex ..after 2 weeks of a dept. of labor book laying there he put it in my slot,i took it out wrote ' mailman wrong apt. complex read address '. he took it. this has happened numerous times..my cousin sent me and her daughter a card we three all live within a mile of each other .I still not have received mine her daughter received her card within days this was 3 weeks ago......and the post office still does not answer the phone. menu says press 3 for carrier problems then it asks for the postal code of mail in question. How can a I have a postal code ?..people are being paid and with benefits for a job they are not doing... read more

Customer service is lacking. Mail service in the zip code is terrible. Just because we reside in an apartment building, doesn't mean they can't do their job and put mail in the boxes. I can go 2-3 days with no mail and then is stuffed full on day 4. This is unacceptable and no matter how many times you complain nothing gets done about it, if they by chance answer phone which most often they don't. read more

This is by far the worst P.o in the area ( Liberty st) I've had mail missing on several occasions that mystery disappeared.. I sell online and the 1 box I didn't wait for a receipt is the one the went missing () my children were sent cards individually (3) by their grandmother with money in them ( I tried to tell her not to send cash) ALL 3 never made it to my house.. my mom sent out a return package to HSN made it there weeks later after several trips to the po to complain .. spoke with the supervisor or post master NO HELP .. When I would send packages from liberty in the afternoon it would be 3am I'd get a notification thst it had been scanned in... I now go to New Windsor where it starts scanning right away ( less likely to disappear) I wouldn't advise anyone to use the NBPo ( Liberty) if you don't have to read more

Horrible. They don't answer the phone in Newburgh, NY. The 800 number is useless as well, good luck getting to speak to a human within an hour. No way to contact these people when time is of the essence for misdelivery problems. They don't care. read more
