This is a great post office. Super friendly staff. Always helpful. Repeat customer for sure!

To the attention of the Postmaster... First, we don't like that, sometimes, packages get crammed in our mailbox. One time, I had the worst time wrestling a package out of our box. That hasn't happened for a while now. We hope it never does. Second, we don't like that only packages are brought to our door, but not the rest of our mail. We realize that it's because of time use, to maintain efficiency. Still, it would be nice if everything is brought to our door. Third, it would also be nice if our mailbox was moved to our house. Our health issues make it a challenge to get our mail every day. The traffic situation adds to that challenge. Sometimes, we have to wait a little while. Then, there's the weather. People don't like getting their mail in bad weather. We're no different. Still, it's an efficiency issue with your policy. Fourth, placing policy before people is not a good way to conduct business, as far as we're concerned. You have to answer to those above and try to be fair with everyone. Too much policy might scare people away, but all businesses set policies for themselves and the people they serve. No business and nobody is ever perfect. On time and kept me up to date on the delivery of my packages. Where else can you go and have something delivered for 59 cents.

ZERO STARS! Why do over half these people still have jobs?! Rude and incompetent. Our mail lady is the absolute worst. I've been told she's always getting complaints, but obviously nothing is ever done. She loses mail, and NEVER attempts to ring the door bell when a signature is required. I have another package that's being shipped back to sender because of her zero attempts of trying to get a signature. There's usually always someone home and she doesn't realize, most of us have cameras, so we know if there's a knock or ring at the door. I'm so tired of the added stress her, and the rest of the rude employees put on everyones lives. read more

Very unprofessional and don't know how to treat customers. I requested a package pickup for one priority mail package on April 1, 2021. I also got a packaged delivered from FedEx on April 1, 2021. According to the FedEx tracking, my package was delivered April 1, 2021 at 11:36 am. The mail carrier took both my priority mail package AND my FedEx package that was address to MY address. I went twice to this post office to try and fix this. The first time I went, April 1, a lady w/ dark hair tried to help me and said they would let the mail carrier know. The second time, April 2, not even an apology was offered. They said it was an honest mistake and I understand that, but not even a sorry was offered. I said my package was basically stolen and the same lady with the dark hair said, "you accused him (the mail carrier) of stealing." Very defensive against a customer, not good customer service skills. Last time I checked, when someone takes a package from in front of your OWN home and addressed to YOU, it is theft. The only somewhat helpful person was a lady with blonde hair who gave me a piece of paper to write my complaint. She also put her hand down in a gesture sort of saying "stop" or "enough" when the dark haired lady was telling me I accused the mail carrier of stealing. Not sure if they actually do anything with the complaints though. Now I have to wait until my package gets redelivered to me AGAIN. Overall, this situation has shed light on the incompetence, unprofessionalism, and lack of customer service skills of this post office. read more

Tracking for package says it was attempted at 1:03 today but I was home all day and no one came to the door or left a notice . It says it needed a signature which is a lie it doesn't . I'm so tired of the Newman post office screwing things up read more

I've had good encounters with the women in the front. However it's Sunday 2019 it's also Mother's Day and I was expecting a package. Thank god I was outside when I saw the mail lady frantically running around with packages. I live in apartments, upstairs. I watched the mail lady look at my apt number repeat it out loud then drop it at the wrong door because she didn't want to walk up the stairs or idk maybe she was just in a hurry either way it's completely unacceptable . The thing is, they get paid good money so why the F would she just carelessly leave packages at the wrong address. Not everyone is honest, I'm thankful my neighbor lmk it was my package. read more

I am sorry the previous customers had such poor experiences with the staff and service of the post office. I can not share in those thoughts. I usually use the services once a month to send parcels out of state and have received nothing but friendly & professional staff. Put me on the list for zero stars. I went in to pick up the package they had not delivered and per an e-mail from the day before, was waiting for me at the Post Office. The girl at the counter was clearly not going to help me. I could tell from the first look. The one that says that I don't want to help you and I don't have to help anyone. She changed her mind when she saw that I was getting mad so she said she would look for it. OK so she went behind the door one step and one step back and said nothing was there. (This passive aggressive behavior makes me mad. Counter girl did not look for it very carefully since she said she knew they did not have it and was pretending to help. (This is not the first time I have had medicine lost or stolen and have played their little game. Last time I had to go there THREE times to have them tell me they had put my medicine in another bin.) **Note Kaiser no longer ships some of the medicine's I take because the loss in the mail is to high.** I do not take any pain medicine. All medicine's that I take are related to illness and serious medical problems. Counter girl could have cared less. The medicines are often over $300.00 per bottle, per package with several bottles the total can be much higher. USPS Counter girl takes my life very lightly and I find her very offensive. read more

This place sucks so fucking much. Everybody working in the Newman post office are so rude and are late on every mail delivery. They do not have any costumer service l, never answer the phones, and never give to the satisfaction that you will receive you package in time or even on that day. Every time I come into this post office I feel miserable because of the way they handle their business and am never certain about my packages. I'm tired of feeling like this every time I go to get my mail from them. read more

Head clerk has terrible customer service and is a very rude and condescending person. My package has been sitting for almost 5 hours and she refuses to have the deliveries sorted due to the front area being extremely busy. I was told to return at 4:30 to pick up my package but was again told the deliveries haven't been sorted due to the front area being busy and they don't have to put the package out until the following day. In the 2 times I have come down here today, I have been the only person in the main area. Was given a phone number to call the supervisor, Tyler, to file a complaint, however, in the 20 times I have called the number it is either busy, or goes to a fax machine. Mail box center at Nob Hill had way better customer service and it's a shame it was closed down. read more
