I visited AIM, Destiny to be exact, a couple of weeks before the hats would be ready for transit. she looked at the 1 I had brought & had an idea that I was happy with. I returned 2 weeks later, with 6 hats. Destiny & Liz worked on the shipment package for more than an hour. I left after they were done & the box was placed in the hands of UPS. delivery was to be in 7 days. YAY! It happened. all in perfect, amazing condition!!! The person even went with me to CVS to ensure they had an ice pack to keep my medication cool. However, the staff ended up making a cooler packed with an ice pack he had and shipped my item! The only part was that it was very expensive $$ to ship (fast priority) just to Riverside CA from Modesto, but it was worth it.

Love the architecture of the library with its high raised ceilings. The children's library and…read moremakerspace are first rate. They have about 20 PCs you can use. Anyone who is a California resident can get a free library card at the front desk. They are doing a fundraiser to upgrade the place. I hope they can reopen the typewriter closets into places folks video conferences online can use. The library has a security officer that keeps the over talkative from yapping too loud and will open the locked bathroom for your use.

Unfortunately as often happens with new businesses or ownership, the shine is starting to come off…read morethe apple. Over the last 6 months 2 employees have gotten less friendly and ingratiating, while the others remain polite and friendly. There was a female who I haven't seen in a couple months and a male (A) who has gotten to the point where all you get from him is a mumble. I made a drop off today and greeted him with "Hi there." His reply was "mmmmm." When we were done I just got a mumble that may have been a thanks, not sure. This is in such contrast to the others. I suspect the manager/owner opened up the store for a few weeks or months and is now somewhere else. This would be REALLY obvious to someone who worked there even for an hour.

We really try so hard around here don't we?…read more For a town known for American graffiti... Not really sure why we shied away from the whole Cruise thing. I get it can cause issue, but to move American graffiti to where it's such an odd time of year, it really deters from tourism and showing off the best of what we can be. I think bringing downtown to life is a good idea, as well as free things and graceada Park, and other events around town. I was born and raised here, I fondly remember the 4th of July parade, free fireworks at multiple places around town, concerts at graceada park, and events all the time. I get we've been going through covid, and there's a financial crisis going on in this country.. but some of the best of what Modesto can be doesn't really cost much. It's just getting people to come out, show off their cars, and everybody just get along like we used to. I think we should take advantage of beautiful places like McHenry village, the downtown plaza, the shopping center at briggsmore and sisk, and other areas that could provide places for people to just be do and see. Maybe have two types of American graffiti? One with the classic cars and then one with cars that have been completely tricked out like lowriders, the racers, and maybe even people getting froggy with electric cars? Our city is a car town, and I don't think we should shy away from that... Modesto has always had its problems, but there's a lot good about this town. I genuinely Believe in us. Next big event, let's all go enjoy!
