I went to the post office Dec. 4th here in Pahrump to have an envelope mailed. My concern is why did my mail go to Memphis TN! It needed to go to Ventura, CA. Hopefully my grandkids will get their Xmas cards on time for Christmas. Maybe the post office can explain this to me, and who is to blame. read more

This review is really for one employee only. I've found most employees in the postal office in Pahrump to be friendly and efficient. However, one employee; a short, fat, dark haired woman (I think she's Pacific Islander) named Mary, is the most unfriendly and rude employee I've ever come across. She is hateful!! She can be friendly to 10 people in front of me and then when it comes to me, it's as if I've done something horrible to her and her family. She's rude, unfriendly. Never smiles, never says thank you, never says have a nice day...nothing! She mostly grunts as if I've messed her day up! She's got absolutely no business in the service industry. She gets paid a righteous salary and regardless of whether or not she likes you, she should be friendly to all!! I refuse to use the annex that she's working in and will go out of my way to avoid her. And unfortunately, she's not just stationed at one office, she works every single one. So there are days when I will drive clear across to the other side of town just to avoid her. I shouldn't have to do that! But she has a way of making me feel terribly uncomfortable. When you're in the public industry, it doesn't matter what kind of day you're having, you should be friendly, smile and courteous!! To EVERYONE!!! Yes, people have a moments every now and again, but not every time I walk up to the counter. I wish people like this would not be allowed to work with the public. read more

We are expecting packages from Amazon, one on Friday one Saturday. I got a notification from Amazon that the postal person could not deliver them because they could not get to the front door or in the driveway. I am attaching photos of our driveway and front door. Which hasen't changed in the past two months. The driver actually turned around in our drive Saturday and went down the street. Saturday the mail was delivered at 7:30, the driver NEVER EVEN GOT OUT OF THEIR TRUCK. I plan on going into the post office Monday and talk to someone. read more

Lately this post office has become extremely unreliable. I have had a post office box there for 20 years and up until recently they have provided good service. Just in the last couple of months they have lost 2 packages and destroyed another. I have had to cancel some regular shipments to this post office due to it's currently unreliable service. read more

I know post offices have a bad rap regarding wait-times and service. My family and I made the drive from Las Vegas to submit our passport applications and this was the only post office with availability so soon. We arrived right at our appointment time and as soon as we walked in they called our name. We waited maybe about 5 minutes before an associate was available to help us. We had two associates help us and both were so kind and in great moods. We had a total of four applications and I made sure we were prepared. We were in and out within thirty minutes and the entire time the associates were in great moods, greeting the customers, apologizing for the wait (which was about 2-5 min each) and they were moving along quite quickly. The post office is small, but they have quite a bit of services available. read more

If you are coming from Vegas don't bother. Cancel your appointment and go somewhere else. They will find a reason not to help you. If you're early you will wait in line and be late by the time they get to you. If you are late by the time they get to you they tell you to leave saying "you were supposed to be here early". Even if you were early. Then they will call passports out of line after you were "late" because of waiting in line. read more

I don't think that anybody actually works here anymore. They continually mark our packages as delivered but don't actually deliver anything. Then all of our items show up and a big lump two to three weeks after they were marked as delivered. This creates a lot of confusion because we thought our mail was being stolen, but it was just the post office being lazy and incompetent. I've lived in a lot of places but this is by far the worst post office I have ever had to deal with. If I could give zero stars I would. read more

On Thursday, February 26, 2021my husband collected the mail from our curbside mailbox. When given to me I noticed that I received one of my small packages that I had been waiting for. I looked at the package and notices that it had a tear in the label. The small white packages are really difficult to open. The glue is extra strong! Upon looking at it and the attention to the rip I though how odd. Then I thought this has been opened and it sure had been. The person that STOLE the contents was nice enough to seal the envelope up AFTER taking the contents. I have to now create a police report, come to the post office, contact the company, contact my credit card company and there are a couple more places. Went on a Friday afternoon to drop off some prepaid packages. The associate was the BEST. I didn't catch her name but she was friendly, efficient, and very helpful. She offered to show us the self service machine/kiosk which was extremely helpful. We were in and out within 5 minutes. This is the main post office in Pahrump. I've been here when it's open and every single Pahrumpian (is that what they're called?) is trying to park in the small parking lot. Here's a tip, circle around the cul-de-sac and park on the street instead of driving in. There's a drive through mail-drop off lane. Easy. What can I say about a Post office? LOL It is the only big one in town. There are a couple of others but this is the main one. It is a bit harder to find cause it is not on a main road. The delivery person who was assigned to deliver packages in our area just leave packages OUTSIDE the gate even if there's already a sign that said "PLEASE DELIVER ALL PACKAGES TO THE FRONT DOOR, DON'T LEAVE IT AT THE GATE" and another sign that said "PLEASE LOCK THE GATE ON YOUR WAY OUT. My Xmas package was returned, because the postal driver stated an animal prohibited them from exiting the vehicle to deliver my package. No effort was made to honk the horn, or signal the pet owner, or pause for a few seconds to allow me to remedy the situation. Why do you hire someone who can't read a name or an address? Do you know how many packages are being mis-delivered in Mountain Falls? I had a package lost I had to fight to get a refund for and it was insured. I have received packages that were addressed to an address down the road 10 minutes away. Wrong name, street, house number. My first issue is that the mailman left and item that needed to be kept under a certain temperature just outside of our gate in 115 degree temperature so the item was ruined, no knock or horn honk. Second issue is every time we send Priority Mail it never gets to its destination on time. We get there before the cutoff yet the package still sits there for an entire day for some reason. We had scheduled an appointment for our passport and our scheduled time was to be there by 1:45 we arrived there at 1:37 without direction. We didn't know whether to wait in line or if there was a separate office. We filled out paperwork and then stood in line. By the time someone started talking to us it was 1:55 and then they turned us away for being late. After we spoke to the supervisor, they said we basically should have but ahead in line letting us know of our appointment and usually they will call our names too. As we left they called someone else's name. Turns out they were too busy prior to call our name. We had drove 50 minutes from Las Vegas just for our appointment only to be told they could do NOTHING. I apologize to the supervisor Maria and worker Darryl for It's not their fault they have to fall in line with the most unorganized package servicing. The post office is failing miserably compared to UPS, FedEx and Amazon. They should probably stick to one thing. read more

the pahrump postal "service" is the worst that I have ever experienced in my life(68yrs) even when compared to my time in us army and mail service in vietnam (spotty at best) we sold our ranch in spring creek,nv 1 1/2 years ago, after 20 yrs with no mail issues whatsoever, and since moving to this giant trailer park (pahrump) our mail has been lost, misdelivered, returned, and we have received other peoples mail CONSTANTLY, I try not to use usps any more than absolutely necessary , but this year, my vehicle registration HERE (first time in nye co) has been lost TWICE, and the dmv has kindly mailed it AGAIN!!!I wish the usps would hire people that can READ read more
