It's not like the smug workers that I often encounter in The city Post Offices who seem like they hate the world and never crack a smile, not at all... Nathalie, is one of the wonderful people who works at St. James USPS, she is so kind and helpful and ALWAYS puts a smile on my face. I think the guys name is Mike and he is also very helpful and nice. I skipped over with my grandson and once we were done finally assembling the box, we bring it over and she tells us we can't use it with first class! She said we had to use our OWN box and when we asked for tape she said "we aren't allowed to give you any". How rude right in town!! And again, "quack?" Yes, I also like spouting insults that no one has said since the 70s. I also find it quite funny that this location had no reviews, but then a negative one gets posted and less than a month later a glowing one comes out of nowhere and bashes me. Seems like quite a strange coincidence. GET HELP. This place is right down the road from my house, it takes maybe 3 minutes to get there if even. And it's within walking distance from my job, so if i wanted to mail something during my break I could. But I would still rather take the trip to Moriches. No, it's not an everyday task going to the post office, but much like Greek Bites, the treatment I've received makes me want to avoid giving these people money as much as possible. The elderly customers like to strike up conversations with the two WOMEN, NOT girls, there, who make no effort to stop it. Maybe if the place were empty, but when it's a late Friday afternoon and there are three or more agrivated looking people who just got off work waiting to be helped, that's really unprofessional and rude. And when I'm trying to very quickly mail off a package to my grandmother in Florida, being mindful to the group behind me, I don't need to be schooled in front of a crowd about why they think saying "happy holidays" is dumb to them. Absolutely the most courteous, efficient and helpful staff. I go there every week at least once…read moreand have always been greeted politely and with a smile no matter how busy they are. The staff is always ready to treat everyone individually and personally showing that they matter as person and not just box or letter to be taken care of.
