Horrible service (the worst), but what can you expect from a PO whose management cannot supervise their employees? I sent over ten letters Certified Return Receipt from this location (to an address within their delivery jurisdiction), and they still failed to deliver all of them! Complaints are rebuffed through all channels of the USPS! Where's my missing mail? Why do they take my money for services that they fail to provide? That's theft! Just ask for Bill, the supervisor who fails to supervise the South Richmond Hill Post Office and has NO respect for their customers! Incredibly, the USPS tolerates behavior like this from a USPS employee, little less a supervisor! They ripped me off for over a hundred dollars and refused to refund a penny, and they'll rip you off, too! I just read some of the other complaints about this location! It's disgraceful! read more

PLEASE PLEASE SHUT THIS PLACE DOWN! Probably the worst USPS out there. ALWAYS claims that no one is home so they don't have to lift a box from truck to house. Caught employee slipping a note for me one day, confronted her that I am right here and she shrugged it off. I ended up going to the truck to get the boxes and NO it wasn't that heavy. On weekends tracking almost always goes from 'out for delivery' to 'Ready for pickup' You get paid to deliver, I don't get paid to pick up so either you return the boxes or deliver it. You guys love just delivering junk mail. Go to drop off packages, employees talking and having a good time. They are so lazy it's not even funny, must be nice having a government job that pays you be lazy and incompetent. And don't forget how often the mail person is on phone either yappin' or listening to music to the point where they don't hear you. Oh wait...I hope amazon creates their own carrier then RIP USPS. Lala you need to turn this around, I've spoken to you many times. However, he's so soft spoken that I doubt they listen to him. read more

THREE specific requests to ensure the authentic identity of the parcel claimer is really a security measure. This location visibly state they do NOT process passport applications but directs nearby postal facilities that do offer passport application processing. The other reviews aren't wrong. The folks at this location are indeed liars and love to throw jabs. Sure, some locals can be difficult, which may be enough reason for USPS to be rude... but it's not. My package was supposed to arrive Saturday but the delivery guy claims to have dropped a slip and rang my doorbell. False, never happened. Get your shi together, guys. This post office is the worst post office ive ever visited. It doesnt matter what I have to do, it takes at least 40 mins. The counter assistants have the worst attitudes and they need to offer assistance on the floor. This Post Office is terrible. We don't get mail everyday. Here you are waiting for your bills and important paper.When I called the 1 800 number to see what's happening I have to wait 1 hour I did get a chance to talk but then they hang up on you so I saw the mailman and asked were we going to get mail today and he himself told me no I'm just delivering packages so regularly mail isn't important . I was so mad I walked to the post office and the manager told me the regular mail person got hurt on the job so she is inside I just don't understand that they need to put someone in her place so we get mail everyday. Would have given them zero stars, but they were holding my check. Just wanted to say a bunch of incompetent idiots who thinks they have a job for life, especially R Lalak apparently he is the manager of Customer Service go figure. Oh can't forget his sales associate, I guess she was a guy in another life, her name is Ravi. I called and ask them to put a certified letter on hold. I did not get to finish me request when they put me on hold for 20 minutes, I hang up a called back, and then the guy was like oh, we already sent that out. I got home and of course I did not get the letter. In any event I went to pick up the letter at this location, I had to provide my passport ID, driver's ID and college ID just to pick up a certified letter. read more

Terrible service. Not enough people at the window, for starters. More disturbing: As a microbusiness owner I often get small packages sent to me with tracking information. Very often I find that the package has been delivered to the post office and it just sits there for days or weeks. Once when I went to get a specific package, it turned out that there were two more at the post office. They don't bother to leave a pink slip if you are not home. Additionally, why doesn't the post office stagger their employees' work hours? They wonder why they are going out of business? It's not solely because of the internet; it's because operating a business between 8:30 and 5:00 pm is nonsensical. People work during those hours and can't get to the post office. read more

I will never use this is USPS location again. NEVER EVER. I was shipping out some trading cards thru plain white envelopes. NBD. first round no issues, but then they started coming back requesting more postage. first they said just add stamps, i was using forever stamps 55 cent. for 1 ounce. all my letters were .6 to 1.1 ounces so i said my fault. the lady at the desk told me to just add more stamps to the letter. some of them they even requested 3$ claiming it was parcel. it was maybe .2-.3 inches thick the most weighing 1.1 ounces the most. so i added the stamps accordingly they sent it back again and they scratched over all the stamps. ok(wasted money). so i bought 110$ worth of forever stamps (running a small business out of my home). after buying it and sending 2 stamps per (@1 oz each) they sent back requesting again. this time the lady told me to do parcel. literally i sent out hundreds of them exactly the same but they were sending back maybe a dozen. one time the mail women said literally "the post master thru this bag at me and told me to give u and to come in person". there was about 31 returned envelopes, again peak weight at 1.1. BUT most of them were .6 oz so I resent on a different day and they went out no problem! all they did was cause a major delay in shipments all due to someones "mood" at the post office. this is highly un professional and inconsiderate for a business! the other half were ones .1 oz above the stamp limit. so as a courtesy now for my customers i had to spend 7.75 each for priority to get it to them asap. each sale was only about 7-14$ so you can imagine how hard a hit this was in terms of profit with me barely breaking even. SO NOW, ive resorted to sending anything weighing an ounce or less in an envelope with 2 ounce max stamps and everything else i had to change to paid shipping. this is really unfortunate for all the ppl losing an extra 3$ because of someone at USPS. i personally used over 600$ with usps in the last 2 months. 345$ being wasted due to usps requesting inconsistent shipping methods and it varying dependent on the person and I will say this again literally that persons mood. Trust me, i valued my customers so much as to pay for their expedited shipping due to USPSs inability to perform. Save your time, energy & money and go else where. make sure to get the proper information for your package because some of these employees do not know the appropriate shipping methods nor the differences between them. hope this helped yall! read more

Worst customer service by window workers. They will act like your wasting their time if you ask a simple question. By far, the worst employees are the old Asian man with the glasses and a Jamaican woman. Both are very ignorant and should be re-trained on how to deal with the general public. As troubling as mail delivery can be, I have to say I am a fan of our local post office here in South Richmond Hill. There have been some thefts of late and all the people at the post office on 101St Avenue have been helpful and supportive all the way through. A big shout out to Mr. Lalak, who twice now, has been an advocate and assisted in searches for missing packages that were delivered and unfortunately, stolen. Another shout out to our postperson for his watchful eye and care. Thank you! read more

This post office branch is the worst. I don't receive my mail daily and when I call to clarify, they can never give me any explanation. I am lucky if I get my mail two time per week.
