Hello All I want to share my personal experience at the JFK location of FedEx. I was a former employee of FedEx Express. I worked for FedEx for 4 and a half years. I was well known and well respected. My co-workers and I had our ups and downs, but we were like a family working together and making sure the job gets done and putting customers first. On 8/22/23, I resigned from FedEx Express for several reasons: There is this managers Karin Dasch and Clayder Salcedo. Those two managers are the worst managers in the company. If you ever see those two managers run. They will use you and give you a hard time in the company. I resigned on 8/22/23 because of my manager Karin Dasch and the reason is that she gave me a letter for no reason. She said that I was not at my position and I was roaming around other facility instead of the CTV. She kept documented for the last three days. For the new guys, if you see this Karin Dasch RUN and DONT STOP. Second manager is Clayder Salcedo. You see ladies and gentlemen, this type of manager is quiet, and kind WRONG don't let her fool you, Clayder will stab you in the back if you double cross her. She will use you and dry you out. On July 6, 2024, Clayder falsely accused me of sexual harassment. She said I crossed her boundaries. So, you tell me working for FedEx 4 years and a half. In those 4 years and a half, I worked for Clayder two years on the ramp and with overtime, and you're telling me that just out of respect you accused me of sexual harassment. Hmmmm something is fishy. Anyways for the new guys, if you see this Clayder Salcedo RUN and DONT STOP. Lastly, don't work for FedEx there are better option and better companies out there for the younger ones. read more

There is a reason why this Branch of FedEx has 1.5 Star Rating. Its beyond my understand how FedEx corporate office has not taken action after so many complaints received from various people from Yelp, google review and even Facebook reviews. All review platforms hold either 1 star to a max of 1.5 star rating. The employees here DO NOT CARE. They will not show any skills that has anything to do with being Friendly. Unfortunately I saw lations being discrimated by Afrian American workers here. As one of the lady who went before me did have her package form filled out correctly and the Afrian American lady loudly said to her " Don't you know how to read english, this is not Mexico learn to fill out things correctly and instead of showing any care or helping her fill it out, send her to do it herself. She could barely understand english and waited 20 min on the side until a spanish speaking person came and she asked him for help. My Story on the other hand was the fact I spoke up to the other lady and said, you could have shown decency and respect. She decided to take me and than have me wait and called out if anyone is picking up packages and said I must wait until she is done with all those who are here for pickup! This caused me to wait for over 30min and i am telling her I have international packages ready to go and I dont want to miss the deadline. The manager comes in and says last call for international packages and I tell the lady, can you process my packages and she said No I must wait my turn and when I did get my turn, i was told the truck has left for the plane. Worse part, I was told they cannot even take the items and I must come tomorrow or place it outside the office drop box for delivery !!! Picking up packages- especially near the airport- is what nightmares are made of. I truly despise it. I was out of town for a month so had a package held that ended up at this location. I was worried it'd get returned to the shipper since it'd been held so long but employees at this location called me several times to give me updates and encourage me to come in to get it - and mentioned they'd hold it longer for me. They were kind and friendly and professional on the phone. When I went to pick up the package yesterday, the line wasn't bad at all and moved quickly despite only one woman working at the counter. She was efficient and friendly, and got me my package quickly. I had to wait for maybe ~5 min to bring it out and I'm a naturally impatient person but really given the amount of staff it wasn't a bad wait at all. I know FedEx sucks or whatever and the location is not ideal but I do really appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the staff and I believe it should be recognized and appreciated. So if you have the misfortune of having to go all the way out here to get a package or mail one etc, take comfort at least in knowing that you'll be dealing with competent, helpful and kind employees, at least from my experience. read more

Customer service representatives are beyond rude! I was sent there by the 1-800 number to pick up a package that was not "deliverable." When I went to pick it up I was told it was on the truck, it wouldn't be back till 9 pm. I came in this FedEx location at 6:45 P.M on a monday to pick up a package. The recommended ETA for the drivers to return and unload was listed on their website as 6:30 P.M. I was asked for ID along with proof of address even though the representative over the phone told me I don't need to bring such documents. The person servicing me at the store asked for my documents to then tell me the package isn't here yet and that I can wait and come back at 8:30 the same night. I wish I could give a zero. I have used Fedex in Tokyo, Siapian, Montana to name a few. This is by far the worse location I have ever used or see. The drivers say the attempted delivery and never do. They attempt to wrong addresses even drop off wrong packages. At the station you complain they say oh it's the drivers. I have dropped off packages at the JFK station they have been left on floor never to be sent out on a Friday. The young ladies at counter are clueless and do not question them. Shipment of medication from my pharmacy on dry ice. Tracking said would be delivered Saturday June 1st by 12pm. 1230pm email stating there was a delay will be delivered on Monday June 3rd. On sunday June 2nd tracking said it could not be delivered on Saturaday. On Monday another email stating another delay. I called Fedex and they first said I was not home saturday and they could not leave package because needed a signature. Then they said the shipper did not require a signature. Again on Monday it was delayed again and I called Fedex and they could not get in touch with the facility nor the driver. Now on Tuesday June 4th I got text the package was out for delivery by 12pm. So at 1130am I called Fedex to confirm they will be here. THey said if not delivered by 1230pm to call back. Well at 11:15 am Another text came in saying it will be delivered Wed June 5th. The more I said that these meds need to be refridgerated it mattered less, plus these meds are on back order. I waited 6 weeks to get them. I called Fedex again and said this delivery is unacceptable for wednesday. She finally told me the driver will be back today and as stupid questions about my building. Well after 1pm an email said it was delivered. No one rang any bell or knocked on my door. The medicine was warm so I called my pharmacy and the said not to take them and return them . They will give me a refund and try to get the medicine again. Of its still out of stock and I will probably not have this medicine that I need for weeks. I insisted that this pharmacy never use Fedex again. I recomend any getting deliveries to insist on using UPS or any other shipper. I will report this to the BBB as well read more

This place is a joke . I'm not sure why is this an option for the public. The 1.3 star rating must be an average accumulated of everyone that contributed 1 star. The staff at the desk were very professional, but outside of that I'm not sure what is going on in the back .. I called the customer service number to ensure that my package was at the location before arriving , I arrived at 7:30 pm and the time now when I'm writing this review is 9:30 pm , and I am still waiting for my package . There's no reason why any customer should have to wait 2 .5 hours for a package that is within the facility . I would NOT recommend anyone to pick up any packages from here, take the drive to your nearest Fedex center within Rite-Aid! I plan to take further action and file a complaint with corporate the office as well. Driver marked my package as "attempted delivery" at 10:30AM while I was waiting by the door. Never attempted. After several hours on the phone with FedEx and the shipper, I was promised a re-delivery attempt the same day. Truck got back to this station at 7:02-- plenty of time to redeliver to my location and still make it back before 8pm. Redelivery not attempted. 2 more hours on the phone (and Twitter) with FedEx-- and what a surprise, they're "unable to reach anyone at the center" to ensure redelivery the next day-- but I can go pick it up, in the middle of nowhere, next to the airport. Explain this-- you can't REACH anyone there, but you want me to GO THERE to pick it up? You can't reach your own employees at your own company? OK. I paid for DELIVERY. So now, my package which should have been delivered on Friday at 10am but wasn't because the driver is LAZY and a LIAR, is sitting there until Monday when maybe, just maybe, an employee might feel like doing their job. This place is a total joke. I was here last Saturday to pick up a package that FedEx failed to deliver to my residence. Upon arrival, I find a line of approximately 30 disgruntled patrons, and 1 employee behind the counter, moving with no sense of urgency whatsoever. Horrible location. I recently went there to get a package that was clearly still at the facility, based on the door tag that was left and the tracking info from their own site. Although the representative stated that it had been shipped out that morning. This was a lie. Another delivery attempt was never made. Even worse, multiple attempts to contact their customer service only resulted in supposed notes being added to the account with no further action or follow up done. Finally after escalating it to a supervisor, I get in contact with the manager of the facility only for her to tell me that there was a huge shipment that was lost and my package was one of them. She acted very nonchalantly, told me to contact the company and have them ship another. When I questioned her on the change of status on my package (it went from in transit to pending over the weekend)how that was possible and if an employee had anything to do with it, she had no clear answer. Having come here numerous times, I've seen more than my fair share of the long lines snaking around the interior of the storefront, and in some cases out the front door. Those are the times I'll just turn around and leave, because the staff unfortunately make very little effort to be speedy. On the other hand, I've always found the staff to be helpful - whether it's tracking down a package which my ninja driver chose not to chuck at my house, picking up tires that couldn't be delivered, or shipping electronics with complex customs requirements. Moreover, I've found the staff to be friendly if you start off on a friendly foot with them - although since so many people come here because their local drivers haven't done their jobs properly, the unhappiness tends to become a cumulative force of negativity. All told - try to pick a non-peak time to come by here, and you'll be in and out in under 10 minutes. read more
