I have sent Vintage freestanding tube radios from the Oregon Coast to Southern California! Packed perfectly, not a tube broken! I sent antiques picture frames with glass, tea sets, vintage drinking glasses, two antique clocks, and camera equipment, packed and shipped to California, Alabama, Florida at Christmas time. Nothing broke, got to the location on time. They are a full service shipper! And have shipping supplies as well. If you purchase something on the coast and your vehicle is getting full, ship it home. Too big or not acceptable by the airlines? Ship it! I only spend time recommending what I call five star service companies, restaurants, or shops, or services that are a cut above. You will be happy with the care to your items and the condition upon arrival! The post office has too many restrictions, and UPS up north are not service oriented! I visit Manzanita annually and use the Post Office while there to shop gifts and correspondence. Carolyn is exceptionally knowledgeable. This past year I had planned to send a package home and she alerted me that I did not have the Flat Rate Box but instead an International box - They look the very same - yet in small red print the boxes are labeled so one can identify the difference if astute. As I did not want to pay 7.00 more than necessary she helped me find the correct box and it was shipped out Flat Rate at 7.00 less! Unfortunately a few days earlier , I did not get the same help at a nearby postoffice and had inadvertently used an International Box. That package was sent out at the higher rate as at that time I was unaware of the similarity in boxes and the attendant there did not address the difference or take the time to provide the assistance that I was given at Manzanita. Both post offices are in busy coastal communities and are conveniently located , however I give much higher marks to Manzanita. Thank You Carolyn !

We have lived here just over a year, and have already had more issues with deliveries than I can…read morecount. Deliveries are often late, and packages are also often lost or delivered to the wrong address (lost until the good samaritan that ended up receiving our package brings it to our door). We live on a well paved, and easily accessible street, with large address numbers on the front of our house, and there's even a light shining on the address when it's dark outside. The only people that can't seem to find our house are mail carriers. (UPS, FedEx, pizza guys.. literally nobody else has ever had a problem.) Our neighborhood community mailbox has been left unlocked by the mail carrier, with the back door hanging open and exposing everyone's mail, twice. Once was during a wind storm, and people's letters had blown all over. I will say the postal workers at the post office customer counter were nice the few times that I've been in trying to get things straightened out. The delivery situation is a mess though, and it's very frustrating. I hope they are able to fix whatever is broken with their delivery system soon! I now try to order from places that use FedEx and UPS for delivery, but that's not always possible. I've never in my life heard of such problems, anywhere, with getting the US mail delivered!!

First of all, at this point they only accept cash or checks-which I find absurd. They do have a tiny sign nothing this that I missed when I went in. The clerk ONLY offered priority postage (I wanted ground) shipping. And when I told him that I didn't want that or have cash, he made a huge deal about how the post office is losing $30+ because they can't void postage (this seems completely false since you can void/request a refund when you click and ship online-which is what I would have done if I knew I would be forced to pay for priority). Overall disappointed and will not return except to drop off packages.
