Deliveries are often late, and packages are also often lost or delivered to the wrong address (lost until the good samaritan that ended up receiving our package brings it to our door). We live on a well paved, and easily accessible street, with large address numbers on the front of our house, and there's even a light shining on the address when it's dark outside. The only people that can't seem to find our house are mail carriers. (UPS, FedEx, pizza guys.. literally nobody else has ever had a problem.) Our neighborhood community mailbox has been left unlocked by the mail carrier, with the back door hanging open and exposing everyone's mail, twice. Once was during a wind storm, and people's letters had blown all over. I will say the postal workers at the post office customer counter were nice the few times that I've been in trying to get things straightened out. The delivery situation is a mess though, and it's very frustrating. I hope they are able to fix whatever is broken with their delivery system soon! I now try to order from places that use FedEx and UPS for delivery, but that's not always possible. I've never in my life heard of such problems, anywhere, with getting the US mail delivered!!

Shipping can be tricky because you don't always have standard mailing sizes at home, but the team here was so awesome in helping me measure, pack, and choose a shipping option that was economical and made sense. I'll admit that I like the USPS's pick up feature at my door, but this was well worth it! Great price and friendly people. It was not cheap, but the very knowledgeable clerk helped us find a solution that worked, and she packaged the artwork up like an absolute boss. It arrived early with zero damage. I'm really grateful B&B was there so we didn't have to spend a ton of time on our vacation tracking down boxes, packing material, etc.

It took a couple months after shipment for the items to be inspected by the auction house and then listed for bids. When I saw the auction photos, a WWII Navy battle lantern with one crack across the corner of a thick glass lens had arrived with that same lens shattered. When the auction house was notified that this was not the condition the item was sent in, the auction house said that overall the shipment wasn't packed well and avoid this location. As a lessor valued item in the lot, an insurance claim so long after sending wasn't worth the effort, and the remaining items were intact. The service here has always been friendly and prompt, and I will continue to use this shop. Not when shipping antiques... I tried to respond to the owner by email, to give greater details in writing and provide photos, but apparently their email address is not routinely monitored, and no response after a week. Note that the UPS Pack and Ship Guarantee says if your item "is damaged or lost in transit, you'll be reimbursed*." Because of that sneaky asterisk though, I wouldn't count on it. Restrictions apply.
