We didn't receive a slip saying they tried to deliver and we weren't home. Days went by and I had no idea where it was. Finally, I called the post office and they said they didn't deliver it and it was ineligible for redelivery but wouldn't tell me why. Fine... So I ask them if they can hold it for me since I wouldn't be able to go to the post office until the weekend, as I work all week. My boyfriend went today to pick it up and showed the woman the tracking number and told the woman someone held it there for us. She told him it was in our P.O. box.... We don't have a P.O. box. So he tells her that and she says again "it's in your P.O. box." They go back and forth and she's being so rude and disrespectful and he just keeps saying "We don't have a P.O. box, I don't know how we would get the package if you put it in a random P.O. box." She literally SENT HIM AWAY and didn't help him. I called him and told him he needed to go back in and ask for the package again because I was pissed. So he does and they argue again about the P.O. box and finally she goes to look for our package in the back and WOW she found it within 30 seconds. She did not apologize for being rude or for literally not doing her job. My boyfriend was way nicer than I would've been because she was so incredibly disrespectful. Don't work at a post office if you are too lazy to walk in the back and find a package!!!

Personable and knowledgable staff, attentive to the customers' needs, and THANK YOU for the 'no cell phone' policy for the main interior lobby/counter, ensuring customers have to give the same attention they get (and not hold up everyone else in line, come pre-Christmas crunch time). You meet your neighbors at the Post Office. You make decisions at the Post Office. You see your contractors at the Post Office. And in New London, you pick up the latest copy of the Kearsarge Shopper, the ultimate must-know, should-know, wanna-know, TMI, and why-do-I-know publication in the area. The Post Office provides a huge service in the town of New London. Located a few steps from the local grocery store, it makes a one-trip shopping, errands and mail stop a reality. In addition, a large part of the town's population rents PO Boxes due to the Winter practice on the part of the state snowplows to invariably take down mail poles with the boxes next to each address. Staffed by really nice people who realize they're making a contribution to the well being of the town and the vitality of the community.

I received a delivery notification that the package was delivered today at 8:11 am and given to an individual. I was standing in the area that it should have been delivered for about 30 minutes and there was no delivery attempted and I still have not received the package. I have tried calling their phone number and the automated system picks up and provides the business hours but then hangs up giving no opportunity to speak with anyone. Terrible.
