They have locked mailboxes inside for P.O. box rentals. Place was clean and organized. Employees are friendly and helpful. Would recommend.

This post office is a DREAM! Kind staff who know who you are and often go above and beyond to assist you. Generosity, kindness and proficiency show every time I go there and every time a pkg is left on my front porch. I don't know who would rate them less than 4-5 stars especially when you consider Christmas with packages stacked to the ceiling behind them! My sincere appreciation to all of you postal workers who often commute and are sometimes greeted by the cranky, obstinate of Yachats. Remember, we in the opposite group are able to smell the lavender and rhoadies--we outnumber those who can't by at least 100 to 1! Difficult nightly renters don't count. I eloped…read morerecently on the Oregon coast and had a grand plan to ship my elopement flowers to an Etsy artist to create pressed floral art to commemorate the big wedding day. This required flowers to be packed and shipped quickly to maintain freshness. Of course these flowers are also sentimental and would not be able to be replaced so I called a lot of shipping stores to do my research on which one to go with. From my first call, the woman on the phone was so helpful and clearly invested in helping me pick the best shipping option- she advised me on the limitations of expedited shipping over the weekend and also gave good advice about not wasting my money on overnight shipping since ground shipping would still get my flowers to their destination within reasonable time at much less cost. When I actually showed up a week later, I worked with a different staff member, but he was clearly aware of my case already, gave me free packing paper to use in my project, and was so helpful in patiently giving me all my shipping options again and helping me tape up my box with Fragile and This Way Up stickers. My flowers arrived at their destination within the time promised, and in great condition. Thanks Shippin' Shack for your professional and excellent service!

They are very helpful with this though I wish they could help more over the phone. I had to go in daily because they won't tell you if your package has arrived or not over the phone which I think is silly (they could obviously still ask for ID when I go in to actually physically pick it up) BUT I understand they are just trying to follow the rules. They were very friendly every time I went in and also seem very apologetic about not being able to give me more information over the phone, but again that's just the way it is. I never had a long wait or any real issues here. I'd feel comfortable going in again if needed!

Lincoln county has got to have the worst USPS in the country. Over the last 9 years they have lost…read moreso many packages of mine. WAYYY more than this should ever happen. They will put the key that i need into someone else's mailbox. So basically giving my neighbors my expensive packages all the time. Or it will say they delivered a package but somehow it's still in their warehouse. It's about a 70% chance that I get my boxes without any issue.

This Newport location has been a welcome change from some of the other locations I have dealt with in the area. I didn't wait more than 30 seconds. The postal worker greeted me and got started. They were courteous and reviewed the options for my package. They didn't push me into a faster or more expensive option. Also, they take credit and debit cards. This may all seem like the typical, expected experience and perhaps it is at this location. I can tell you it is a much better experience than you can expect at other locations in the area.

I wanted to ask if they collect outgoing mail from the blue mail receptacle outside the building. I called the 800 number listed online for all the post offices in the area. Couldn't talk to an agent because the computer wanted this information or that information and was giving me solutions to problems that I wasn't experiencing. This post office, and USPS in general, has the worst automated customer service system in existence. When I want to talk to an agent, i expect to be connected to an agent. After paying an additional $32 to have a letter sent - not wanting to assume that they pick up mail from the receptacle and it stay there until they reopen - it turns out that they do still pick up mail from the receptacle. The notice on the window doesn't say so.

They actually went as far as giving someone one of my packages value of 200 because they met her at the mailbox..?? I called complained and the idiot told me they will not cover the cost because when it leaves there hands it's no longer there responsibility.. on top of all this I asked her to describe the person she gifted my package to the police and she said no she would refuse to participate unless she's taken to court.. unbelievable behavior someone needs to step in that location fire all management and start over.
