I had three different packages delivered on three separate occasions all three packages were opened I tried reporting it and was given the runarounds by the US postal service do not have packages delivered by them. Violation of federal law could care less maybe they should be privatized. Nestled in a park-like setting with trees and benches, this is a typical small town post office with an impressive façade. Constantly competing with the fictional town of "Stars Hollow", this Woodbury CT post office is a winner hands down, despite what "Taylor Doose" might think! The staff was nice and accommodating, there's plenty of parking, there's a drive by drop mailbox, a greeting card kiosk, well stocked mailing supplies, post offices boxes for rent, and it was super clean! So, Taylor, stop your bellyaching! This is a fine government establishment that serves its community well! Any minor hiccups in delivery service are promptly rectified and there's no better way to appease customers than with kind and humble service! They have all the regular postal services plus passport service which is a plus! Serving about 10,000 residents, the postmaster Jose Ancheril, does a good job! Woodbury gets my stamp of approval! (Sorry not sorry Taylor - and you'd agree with me if you ever saw the GG episode where Kirk tried to deliver the mail, created postal chaos, and the town was in an uproar! We have been going here for quite a while since we live in the area. Generally, everyone working behind the counter has been friendly and helpful on the occasions I need to mail off a package or get stamps. As for the mail delivery, it can be hit or miss. Depending on whether the regular postal person is on or not will determine whether you get all your mail. We have had mail for other units in our mailbox and vice-versa. Most recently, we were awaiting a package and got a notice that they were unable to deliver. We also didn't receive our other mail. When we called the post office to question the problem with delivery, they said the driver couldn't access the mailboxes because of the snow. They also said the driveway hadn't been cleared. They used that excuse for a couple of days, although the snow had been cleared right away. The complex we are in has a strict plowing policy and is here within a reasonable time frame to make sure that everything is accessible. All in all, they are ok, just not as reliable as I would hope. read more

This location is a constant disappointment. If you drop a package in the box outside you run the risk of it not getting scanned-it's happened to me multiple times. Any track a package that isn't scanned. We also got a Christmas card not addressed to us THREE times after dropping it back at the post office read more

Except for the fact they won't deliver packages to my door (I have to go pick them up - a hassle since I'm handicapped), they tend to do things right. They worked with me to fix a problem with misdelivered mail - it doesn't happen any more, thanks to the new delivery person on my route. I know everyone in the office by name (as they do me) and never complain when I bring in my quarterly mailings (seventy large envelopes). read more

This post office lacks common sense and attention to detail. On more than one occasion I have had to go there concerning my service. Most recently I sent a package to myself from Florida and the carrier somehow missed the fact that my mail was no longer being forwarded and they rerouted it back to Florida!! On other occasions packages have been stuffed into my mailbox which required a knife to "cut them out" as they could not be pulled back out over the mailbox lip. On more than one occasion the carrier has left packages sitting on top of the mailbox so as not to have to get out of the truck and put them by the front door.... very frustrating!! read more
