Moving is such a ridiculously stressful pain in the...ah...neck, but after my first phone call with Tom Gleason, I knew I chose the right company. I was all over the place with the dates I needed for drop off, for moving... but Tom worked with me and even threw in some humor that helped me maintain sanity throughout the process. He didn't run from my craziness, he accommodated my craziness. I'd like to think he may have actually even liked my craziness. Maybe that's too presumptuous of me. Anyway, we need more Toms around. The 20' unit we rented was perfect. The driveway drop off locations were perfect. I spoke with 2 of the drivers on the phone and met one for the final pickup just now (at 7:15am. Nice! When Tom says he'll have it picked up first thing ... he ain't kiddin!). Everyone I spoke with or met is super nice & friendly. Makes a difference when you're having to deal with all the stresses of moving. Oh. The pod itself! Probably shouldn't leave that out of the review. The pod was great too. Tons of rain (I'm talkin torrential downpours) while we had it and not a drop inside the thing. Use this company. Excellent customer service, great product & reasonable prices. A trifecta. Very good guys I was happy to tip them and treated them to some late lunch/food as well. Now the office staff in CT..... They are probably the most arrogant people I've ever talked too. I'm in the private equity business so I deal with multi-millionaires and enterprise entrepreneurs in my line of work and they are more down to earth and friendly then these guys. ALL of them.... Mike, Amanda, Sam have an attitude problem. The only good one was one guy called Peter and the first guy that sold me on this company Steven. I got lucky that I ended up with a good moving staff crew that was hard working and efficient. Be ready for a 4 hour window which you are told about 48hours before your move which isn't good for people that live in luxury buildings because the elevator needs to be reserved. I get that's not their problem but I wasn't told their was a 4 hour window till last minute. Would I use these guys again? I'm not sure I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that the office staff are good people and are just stressed out because of COVID-19, but I'm not the only person thats complained about their attitude so maybe that's just how they are. It is what it is, at the end of the day my things got moved.
