Unfortunately, a stone console table, even though it was well wrapped, broke during the move. These things can happen. Where the company fell down on the job was regarding customer service. I immediately informed them of the damaged item and even sent the original invoice for its purchase to substantiate the value of the piece. After many phone calls and emails, there was never any resolution from the person in charge of residential moves. I now have a broken table top and no recourse from Schaap Moving and Storage. The cost of replacement would not be an expense to the company since I purchased insurance so I don't understand the reluctance on the part of the moving company to make this right. What a shame that a company that could have gotten a stellar review showed that it really doesn't care about its clients!

Now I'm overcharged monthly, and nickel and dimed for every additional action. First I was being charged for blank pages in a scan. Then scans became snapped phone pics...not even lit right, squared up, and printable! It get worse! The company often hires temp people to sort and scan mail...like after holidays, Mondays, or snow days. So who knows who has pics of your personal info on their phone! And then there's the packing. In the notes I asked for 4 pieces of mail to be sent to the same address. No one read the notes and sent me 4 items in 3 mailings...ALL AT $16 A POP! One I was charged a packaging fee for, and it simply had a new shipping label slapped over the old one. Another piece got lost in shipping. Mind you, I choose a trackable shipping method (Usually Fedex Ground) all the time! Neither Anytime Mailbox nor Postal Annex refunded the shipping. FedEx admitted they lost it, but I didn't pay FedEx. The annex erased the assigned tracking number from the action, and customer service sounded like a 5-year old trying to understand what the problem is!! There are a handful of other mail forwarding services in Sioux Falls, and another handful in the rest of the state. DO NOT waste your time with this one...and risk your identity getting stolen!!

Their estimates were spot-on, my shipment left and arrived when they said it would and at the right location. They prepared me with all of the information I needed to pick up my stuff and offered to do the packing themselves (at an extra cost) but also wrapped the overall shipment for free. Very nice, very helpful. They made me feel that I could trust them with all of my precious (haha) stuff and I was right! Oh, and nothing got broken or damaged! It's family-run and you can tell they like their lifestyle/job. Great guys. I'd go with them again for sure.

I tried to explain my situation with my mail to her and she just told me to write my info on a piece of paper. A other costumer told her that she was very short with people and she just made up an excuse about how short staffed they are. I dont care how "short staffed" a place is, no excuse to be rude to customers. Very disrespectful and disappointing. I went in on Monday around 3:30-4pm
