I have continued to call and all I hear is the mail box is full. Totally unacceptable. I am trying to get my mail to be delivered to 5000 W 40th Street instead of forwarding to Apache Junction. I have time sensitive mail for tax purposes. My number is (605) 951-2502 Please help, as this is very important. Thankfully I went to the post office in our area, and was helped by the best mail clerk ever. With in 5-10 minutes everything was straightened out. He also told me that a change in temporarily doing an address change you have to prove your present address and identify with a ID at the post office. This is the full service post office location on the west side of Sioux Falls. They have PO Box for rent and full shipping/mail service here. It is a fairly modern facility. Lines can be slow and people that work here are often grumpy. read more

I'd give negative stars to this location if I could! Since opening our PO Box here it has been nothing but a nightmare. The girls at the counter are rude, unfriendly and not helpful one bit. It seems PO Box rules and operations change from one location to the next. We have had 8+ boxes in 4 years as we travel for my husbands work and this is by far the worst one ever. They hold your packages and say they aren't available even though you receive a confirmation email saying so. Their excuses and reasoning for "not" having your package is beyond unacceptable. They barely grace your request to look with a peak in the back. They treat you like you are beneath them and that you are the one incompetent, when they clearly are the ones who are. I have emailed USPS requesting direct contact with the regional or district manager of this location to have our issues resolved and the staff spoken with regarding their demeanor and unhelpfulness. Once we have resolve, we will close our box and hope to never deal with these rude, incompetent people again. Save yourself a massive headache and having to figure out where the hell your mail is and go to a different location for a PO Box. They also let the line pile up and rarely get someone from the back to assist. I was first in line waiting 10+ minutes and after there were 10+ behind me, she asked for help. Before visiting the USPS location as noted in the original post, I called to ask about the money order.....had to leave a voice mail - no one would pick up the phone after three calls......can you believe they just now called me back (two weeks later)......pathetic....and to make matters worse.... they did not even listen to my voice mail.........started the conversation off with "I understand you are having problems with your mail delivery?? It's only been two days. They lost some more of my mail. I hate going there. I'm in a wheelchair and went there in the rain. I got a note from them. I had to sign for a package that they could have left at my mail box. And I told them about the missing mail. I do a lot of service with them. NOT ANYMORE! Some one has my mail! The next step is to ask for help from the Post Master General. Someone had to sign for that package.Did they just give it to some stranger? Who knows! I e-mailed the sender. He will not be pleased. I guess they asked the superior to check on my mess.So far, not even a phone call from them. I called them TWICE! What takes them so long? I don't know. I will be doing business with UPS.
