That's when he finally returned my call. I specifically asked if the price would remain the same as what was listed on the contract, and he assured me multiple times that it would not change. The day before my car was scheduled for pickup, Mark called and told me the price had increased to $1,700--more than double the original quote. I told him I would not be paying that amount and would be using another company instead. After that, I received 28 calls back-to-back. This company appeared as a middle party in what turned into a transport scam involving my vehicle. I never directly hired or authorized US Star Trucking. The only reason I even became aware of them is because the transporter who picked up my vehicle sent me a "call/order" document that listed US Star Trucking's information on it. At no point was I informed that another company would be involved, nor did I approve any third party to arrange or subcontract the transport. This lack of transparency is extremely concerning, especially when dealing with something as valuable as a vehicle. When I contacted US Star Trucking to understand what was going on, their response raised even more red flags. Instead of helping clarify the situation, I was told that I needed to pay the transporter directly so they could "get their pay" from documenting the call. That response was both confusing and inappropriate, and it did nothing to resolve the issue. In addition, the contact numbers listed on their website appear unreliable. Multiple attempts to reach them either led nowhere or further added to my concerns about the legitimacy of their operation. I believe this was my second or third time using your company to transport my car across the country. Unfortunately, the service has gotten worse each time. On multiple occasions, drivers refused to release my car unless I paid an additional $100-$200 beyond the original contract amount. However, nothing was worse than the experience I had with my most recent transport. I was told by your agent that a driver had been assigned and that my car would be picked up the next day. Instead, my car was picked up several days later. This caused significant inconvenience, as I was being charged daily for the parking location where the car was stored. In addition, I had to pay for a rental car for an extra week because of the delay. According to my contract, my car was supposed to be delivered on April 30, yet I did not receive it until May 7. I reached out to a website online to request transportation of my son's car from Long Island, NY, to Tampa, FL. This website enables transport brokers to bid on jobs, aligning them with a driver, and ultimately, the broker receives a commission for arranging the transportation. It appears that US Star Tracking gets a 25% of the total transport booking fee. Once I placed my request online, I received texts and emails from numerous companies. US Star Trucking offered the best rate. James Hunt from US Star Trucking reached out to me on August 1, 2025, and I received a contract for the transportation of my son's car on August 4, 2025, for $550.00, with a $100.00 transport fee for my son's car. On August 5, 2025, I signed the contract and returned it to James for pickup on August 10, 2025, with delivery scheduled for August 12, 2025. On Sunday, August 10, 2025, I reached out to James at 5:12 p.m. to ask when the car would be picked up. At that time, he informed me that he did not yet have a driver. Monday Morning, 08/11/25, I reached out to him again, and he again told me that he did not have a driver. He also stated that the price quoted to me was too low and that he could not find a driver to do the job. Mind you, I had placed my son on a plane back to Florida on Monday morning, and all of his possessions were still in the car in New York. At this time, James informed me that the drivers do not work for him and that he needed to adjust the price. I told him at that time to cancel my request, and I would figure out what to do next. My husband and I were considering driving the car ourselves because my son had none of his belongings and we could not wait any longer. James then told me that if I cancelled, I would have to pay a $200.00 cancellation fee. James sent me a new contract for a total of $1050.00, with $250.00 being the broker fee. The price had doubled. I asked again if I canceled, would you be charging me $200.00 to cancel? He said yes. I had to go with him, and he knew it, or I would be out $200.00. My husband then called him, and we were on a three-way call with him (myself, my husband, and James, as we were both at work). In the conversation, he told us he was in Turkey, when in fact he was in Tennessee. Personally, I think the man is full of lies. The contract was signed, and the pickup was scheduled for Monday, August 11, 2025, with delivery on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. The car was picked up on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, and delivered on Wednesday, August 13, 2025. When I received my credit card bill, James not only charged me the $250.00, but he tacked on an additional $10.00, making my broker fee $260.00. I initiated a chargeback on my credit card, which was ultimately found in my favor. James began emailing me on Tuesday, September 24, threatening to take me to court and that I would be responsible for all of his fees associated with the case. I responded to him that he needs to deal with the credit card company. I then called the credit card company and was told the case was closed in my favor and that James Hunt from US Star Trucking, LLC, never responded to them. Date of the transaction to the trucking company: 01/17/2025 via Zelle the amount of payment: $1,450.00 including storage fee(s) $250. The Original contract amount: $750.00. The scheduled pick-up date was 01/10/25 No one contacted me at least a day before. I got text messages from the broker, Jake, and was told that they don't take credit card payments and send money via Zelle. I was not able to do at the time because I was out of the office. Then he increased the shipping cost to $1,200 for the distance to pick up and the enclosed trailer service even though I didn't ask and want. I refused and asked him to cancel the service but he kept asking me to pay the cancellation fee $200 and I replied to No and cancel it. Then the next day 01/11/25 in the morning, a driver picked up the car from my dealer without my agreement. It arrived at my home on Monday 01/13 without pre-information of the ETA. My wife was at home and told me the driver asked to pay $1,200 in cash I refused that because I had never agreed to the cost and tried to contact the broker but he and the company have never answered or replied to me From the day of pick-up to Thu 01/16. The trucking company stored my car in the storage and it charged an additional storage fee to get it. On Friday 01/17 I contacted the trucking company and tried to get the car because I didn't want to add the storage fees day-by-day since the broker never taken care of this. I sent money $1,450 via Zelle which they asked for on Friday night and picked up the car. The trucking company told me that he sent me the receipt of the storage fee of $250 for 5 days but he didn't send it and replied to me until today 02/05/25. This was a pretty horrendous experience. I signed a contract with the company for $550. The day before pickup, which I had coordinated, I was told that a driver wasn't available unless I paid $850. I already had plans and everything in motion so I had to do it. The driver was two hours late for pickup regardless. Then I wasn't given an estimated delivery time aside from, "tomorrow evening, or the day after until 6pm, they will call when they are an hour out." BEWARE!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. I used this company to transport my vehicle for my cross country move. The day before my vehicle was scheduled to be picked up the agent James called and said he could no longer honor our contracted price and I would have to pay nearly double the contacted price. I refused and held them to the contract. Three days after my car was delivered, I was called by the company they dispatched the job too saying I still owed money and they have a contract to prove it. JAMES CREATED A NEW CONTRACT FOR THE PRICE I REFUSED AFTER MY CAR WAS ALREADY DELIVERED AND FORGED MY SIGNATURE ELECTRONICALLY. WORST COMPANY EVER. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. DANIEL WAS THE WORST. This is the worst company ever. They literally are frauds. I dealt with Daniel at this company and he was just the absolutely worst, rudest person ever. Here's my story - I reached out to them and we had a deal for $1200. They asked me to sign a "contract" which I did (I found out later that other companies don't ask to sign contract until they assign a driver). Daniel told me that they would not charge anything until they assign a driver to me about a day before the transport date. 1 week before the transport date, they asked me to raise the price to $1300. I was pissed but I agreed. They amended my contract and had me sign the new contract which I did. At this time, I cut the call and receive an email that they charged my card $208. I was pissed again but just was patient. Now, the worst thing. 1 day before the transport date, I called them to ask for the driver details. Daniel said they were not able to find any and asked me to raise the amount to $1450. This was just over the top for me. I asked for a refund of the fees that they had already charged and he flat out denied that they did not charge anything. I sent him screenshots of the charge which specifically mentioned their company name. He still denied that it was them. This was just absolute worst experience of my life. I would not recommend this company to anyone. I had to contact my bank to dispute the charge. I still have not received the refund. read more
