I know I could have done the job myself for cheaper, but then I still would have had to get the freon done and I'm at a place where my time is becoming more valuable. After scoping around yelp and google, I decided to try Valet, especially since they're like 5 min from me. They gave me a diagnostic and confirmed the whole compressor was bad. They included potentially having to clean some things out if the compressor had broken, but it didn't and so they took those charges off the quote; that leads me to trust them more on the next job. Overall, it was about $1000 to have the AC compressor replaced. The part itself was nearly $500, which is annoying, but welcome to OEM parts. I know I could have gotten one for half that on Amazon, but like I said, my time is valuable. I dropped the car off on Tuesday and had it on Friday with cold AC. Would definitely recommend Valet.

He put in writing the brakes were "75%" good. Less than 3,000 miles of driving later, the brake lights came on and the BMW dealership I took the car to told me the front brakes needed changed and the back brakes wont be far behind. Trey said in writing the tires were "like new". The dealership I took the car to shortly after purchasing it told me the treads were very low and that all 4 tires would need changed and they urged me to change the front tires as soon as possible. It's disappointing that the dealership lied. It has been super disappointing they haven't been willing to talk to me and haven't offered to help in anyway! I would avoid this dealership unless you're an expert on everything and can tell when they're trying to mislead you.

The lady said yes, we ran a check engine light test and a smoke test, those both came back clear, So here are the recommendations of what MIGHT get the light to turn off. The grand total of what they think MIGHT be the problem is over $4,000. In the meantime the total for the tests that showed absolutely nothing was over $350. Definitely taking advantage of customers that do not know the reason their light was on. Customer Service never once checked in to let me know the tests were still being performed, never mentioned the smoke test was going to take over 4 hours (which should have only taken less than 2 hours), never once mentioned she was sorry this was taking so long, never once said thank you for your patience. Wow just wow!!

My grandparents brought their minivan in for routine maintenance and they got upsold tires and an…read moreengine mount, then the shop cross threaded 2 lug nuts and broke another lug stud and tried to charge them to replace the whole wheel hub assembly. They blamed it on the van being old (it's less than 15 years old and in good shape) and having corroded lugs, but I rotated the tires a week before myself and know they aren't. I spoke to the shop manager and he told me that 4 of the lugs were good there was just the one broken one, so I said I'd order the wheel hub and do it myself. My grandparents drove it around and even went on the interstate with only two good lugs holding the wheel on during the 2 days when I was waiting on the part to come in. They could have been seriously hurt or killed by the shop's incompetence. I even went in and spoke to the shop afterward in case they weren't aware of how bad they left it, and all they tried to blame it on me for wanting to fix it myself to save $500 for two hours of my time.
