Gotta say, once I visited their website and submitted a request with them I had High hopes but that changed very quickly when their representative wouldn't even send me an email to follow up on the request; save only to tell me that it would expire at the close of business and what other charities would possibly help. Judging from recent reviews and the experience I had, its like they don't even want to help you. When I addressed the situation with them about not recieving any contact, they informed me that they had called me. I leave honest reviews and I will be real: yes they did call, but the voicemails got lost with the plethora of banks, creditors, and telemarketers calling; however, thats all they said to me in the email, that they did call and nothing else. They didn't even bother to follow up with the question of whether or not I would require assistance still. Either their workers are swamped with requests or their claim to care for and value veterans is a misnomer. Either way, I wouldn't be surprised if the request case I made was closed already. I would avoid wasting your time with this company. I submitted every document they asked for. One document had an incorrect date on it for when I was off of work. They informed me the committee denied me because they could not prove I was off work. They called the place I worked. They received two letters stating I was indeed off of work. What more do they possibly need to verify I was off work. As a Veteran they could have easily resolved this and helped me out in a time of great news. Instead they just wasted my time and ended up getting me upset for nothing. USA Cares about weeding out your ability to receive help financially from funds that are donated to them from people who actually care about veterans. Don't donate to this organization. read more

USA in fact does not care! I submitted EVERY piece of documentation that they asked for in a timely manner! It took multiple calls, and emails for sophia to respond. Everyone she would get back to me it was either " I didn't get i", or something else! she asked for a note from my therapist that I've been seeing, so I sent her the note. I go to therapy online ( grow therapy) so I can do zoom, and find someone I'm comfortable with! But, because she didn't have an office number, and uses her email then they didn't accept it. my therapist called, and got no answer. She emailed them, and nothing! She is verified on their site and they can see that I have been going to her for some time. She has her NPI, and works from home ( like a lot of Americans do since COVID!) I cannot control what grow therapy has their therapist using! It's hard finding a good therapist that I feel that I can talked too! read more

Here's an update on the company about 3-4 weeks later. So I was contacted and told that I wouldn't be able to receive assistance for my home deposit but they would assist me with my bills that needed to be covered. With the lack of help from the program and trying to move into a new home, all of my bills from the home I was in before I moved piled up. So I told the woman sure I could use the assistance for that. I proceeded to give them the bills in screenshot form. Then was told they all needed to be pdf forms. So I dug and scraped up all the bills in a PDF form just for them to tell me that they can't assist with the bills because I had finally moved into a new place and the bills were from the old place that they were supposed to help me with. So I finally said fuck it! I don't even want to deal with the stress and headache that they put on top of what I'm already dealing with. They don't value veterans or their situations at all. Never recommending them to any of my soldiers or fellow veterans! read more

I honestly cannot express how wonderful this organization is. After a hospitalization for my service connected conditions, they stepped right out and helped our family immensely. Erin was amazing all the way through, from initial application to letting us know that we were not only approved, but also getting Amazon Pantry boxes. From start to finish, it was an amazing, easy process and they really care about veterans. Not just say they do or use them as a hot button word like a lot of places, they actually care. This organization is amazing! I was able to get the assistance I needed in an emergency. No other organization was able to help in a timely manner, but USA Cares came through for my family.
