Beware, they'll not service you if you're black... Trying to receive a $1,200 MoneyGram I went to USA Checks Cashed. Gaby Osorio, their 'manager' was wearing socks and talking on the phone with one of her friends. During the transaction she said MoneyGram has declined the transaction and asked me to call their Customer Service. I called Customer Service just to find out EVERYTHING is in order with my transfer request and that I should be able to pick up my money anywhere. I went back to the store telling Gaby I just spoke to MoneyGram and that they said everything is clear on their end. Then Gaby tells me the truth that she just doesn't feel like honoring this Money Gram transfer and that she had the right to refuse service to anyone to earn and that I can pickup money at another location (Woooow). I went to the NEXT Money Gram location and received my money in less than 3 minutes WITHOUT any issue. Now, that I'm thinking back, I was polite with Gaby, didn't raise my voice and even thanked her for her time when I left but still didn't deserve service according to Gabby the manager, this is really outrageous! Great atmosphere & customer service. It's close to me & they're always happy to help me. I've told friends & family about this place cause other places charge more for certain things & they don't look very lively. You can tell they care about there customers. The best thing about that place is how you can pay your bills or get your DMV tags, you don't have to wait at the DMV for agonating hours. They are pretty quick on there business & always ask if theirs anything else they can help. I recommend people to go there. read more

First I have to tell you that I have used this location for their services since 2015. If my opinion seems biased please understand. Also, I have never been paid or anything like that for this review. That being said This branch has always been good to me even though I hate payday loans and I even had a title loan go through them at one time. I know it's not based on my race, but it could be because I'm retired military with a verifiable pension and Social Security. Of course, I have seen people that have gotten short with them that have been refused service. Due to their poor attitudes and demanding attention. Personally, I have seen many Black customers that they serve, as well as other minorities. In fact, I think there are fewer whites in there than other races. Sorry, you had a bad experience. Next time try Albertsons customer service desk, they due money gram and so does all Walmart locations. read more

This place doesn't like black people, just thought I'd update their reviews if anyone is reading. To my amazement their VERY first review from over a YEAR AGO, is a complaint about them mistreating minorities. My experience makes perfect sense after reading the review. I just wanted to cash my payroll check, I understand you have to make sure people are not cashing fraudulent checks and it was my first visit but the way I was trreated was ridiculous. I arrived early the day before a holiday as to get it done quickly. As soon as I got the the counter she already was giving me a dirty look. I handed her my California Drivers license and my check. A payroll check made out to me using JP Chase and Morgan, a printed check not hand wriTten. Almost impossible to fake that. Not to mention she ran it through a scanner which all places do tO verify the check is valid ! No problems there but nooo she had to goo the extra mile. She starts questioning me and making her own side comments. She first asks where my job is located, IDIOT IT SAYS IT RIGHT ON THE CHECK! Then asks how long they've been aroundd, how long I've been working for them, what do I do for them, she is interrogating me about the legItimacy of my job lmao ! After all this questioning the line is out the door. People are complaining. She could care less. She then feels the need to CALL my employer at 10 am in the morning without even asking me. I only realized when I heard his voice ON SPEAKER. She then proceeds to question my boss. How embarrassing your employer getting called to cOnfirm your identity as a runn down check cashing place im only using because my bank was closed. I've been to Walmart thousands of times and should have gone again. But nope I stayed wit this thriving racist establishment. They have one price on the wall for cashing a check then switch it up without sayiNg a word. This place is horrible, the people look miserable, it just needs to be shut down or moved to a more suitable location for their attitude towards black people.
