My 6 year old just finished her first year at DA. I waited to write the review so I could judge the…read moreentire year. The registration process last summer was very easy. I enrolled my daughter in ballet, tap, and jazz. I was quite pleased with the prices as I had paid a lot more for classes when we lived in Texas. The classes were very structured yet fun for the girls. The instructors were top notch and very patient with young students. The girls were taught fundamentals for the first few months and then started working on recital pieces in January. The DA dance recital was today and I have to applaud the staff for a job well done. I'm specifically speaking of the talent we saw in the older girls. I was blown away and now am eager for my daughter to continue. I do have a couple of minor complaints, but that won't change my 5 star rating. The lobby is entirely too small and only holds about a dozen chairs for parents. When arriving for your class, you had to deal with crowds with parents from the earlier class. A lot of times I ended up leaving while my daughter was in class and either went shopping or sat in my car. In addition, I did not feel safe in the parking areas. In the beginning, my daughter took Tuesday evening classes that would end after dark. The residential areas around DA are low income looking and the people would come out after dark like cockroaches would in South Texas. There's a little grocery store close by that residents would walk to. A few times I was wrangling 2 kids outside and the cockroaches were entirely too close to my vehicle and made comments about how nice my car was or something that scared the crap out of me. Needless to say, we switched to Saturday morning classes and I never had any issues. Again, I would definitely recommend Dance Academy. You will not be disappointed!
