We were informed about the laws and regulations of the concealed weapons permit, talked about different scenarios and how to handle them in the most safe and effective manner, not only to save lives, but to avoid putting yourself at a huge risk of criminal and civil liability. The class was educational and enjoyable. We covered a lot of material in a short period of time, but I didn't feel like I was bombarded with information. The mood in the classroom is serious but with some humor. I did not feel bored or disinterested during the entire class. Dennis gave each of the applicants individual instruction along the way and again wherever needed. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. I learned a lot about guns and proper shooting form today! I feel much more confident now and am looking forward to coming back to the range for more advanced classes... When I arrived, he took time to recommend a rental - the phoenix trinity 2011 (which was amazing to shoot) - and explained the reasoning behind that choice. All of his advice was spot on and he then took the time to explain grip, stance, safety, and answer the multitude of questions I had. He even took the time to let me practice with dummy rounds so I was comfortable reloading and knew how everything worked. At no point did anyone make me feel bad about being a beginner - despite there being other customers who clearly were much more advanced than me. The rentals are also very noticeably well maintained. Since this was my first time shooting at a range and I didn't feel comfortable being alone, he incredibly kindly contributed his time to come in to the lanes with me and make sure I was comfortable, doing everything right/safely, and answer further questions. I can't begin to express my gratitude for Wes spending so much of his time to make this experience once I thoroughly enjoyed. I learned so much and I can't wait to come back! I would go out of my way to come back to this place specifically - it's worth it. And that's exactly what I did. I went to the class, took notes, took the test, fired a glock 17 and now I am officially a gun carrier. Heard the shooting range had a fire, but I'm sure it's all going to be rebuilt and classes are still going on. They have good inventory and prices on guns and ammunition.
