4 Stars for an amazingly friendly and descriptive inspection professional (Mark Bernier), easy scheduling, and timeliness. Gah! The home inspection can make or brake a deal. So I was stoked to have USA Home Inspections recommended by my realtor. Mark got to work before I arrived (my realtor's assistant was there to let him in). But a few hours later, Mark was done with the inspection and came out from under the house to meet us. After the inspection he went through almost every thing to make sure I was comfortable with his work. Then he emailed me the full report and an invoice. Eventually I needed a second inspection after the seller did some work and I went right back to Mark. The cost was reasonable the second time around I just waited for the report. I realized the other day (someone else realized.) that the electrical board in my garage isn't grounded, but I Im not entirely sure if this was in the report. Something for me to check. Overall, I would us them again for sure, but hoping this house sticks! read more

Used this company as a first time veteran home owner and first responder, and they were a absolute nightmare, they missed multiple issues a inspector should of noticed to include a fist sized hole in the roof, a rotted structural super gutter, and excess moisture in the walls. After contacting the company to make it right the owner met with me at the house and saw the faults and agreed they should've been noted. The owner told me he would pay for the issues to be fixed then blocked my number the next day. Every time I called the company and asked to speak with him he would be on vacation for months. This unqualified company should not be responsible for inspecting your home and they should not have your trust. read more

It's been *8 years* since we had our home inspected by USA Home Inspections. They missed termites, blatant water intrusion & therefore mold and mildew issues on our house as well as some other key items. We had to do extensive unplanned rehab to the home (that we could have negotiated with the seller) I brought this to the companies attention immediately and multiple times. They first tried to pawn it off on the inspector that they gave us leaving the company. We found out he had left on his own terms (not fired) before our discovery. Your company still should have stepped up and yet we were ghosted. According to their contact, They legally were only on the hook for just the cost of the inspection and they didn't even have the decency to refund that. Sub-standard work and Zero integrity! If I could give them less than 1 star I would. *Why the review 8 years later* - Now that we are selling, the buyers inspector just found cloth wiring as well as some other expensive items that need to be addressed from the original home for insurance issues - nothing like ripping open an old wound open. Everyone makes mistakes at their job, but these were BIG ONES here. The fact that you all never made good in any way and stopped taking our calls is your largest mistake in my opinion. Unscrupulous. ism My realtor recommended them! First they lied about the cost, charge me $50 for a service they didn't do, when I called to complain the woman who answered sighed and then laughed. They did reimburse me eventually for it. Then their inspector missed a major electrical issue. They refuse to reimburse my money. They claim that while they didn't take a picture, it was an electrical box attached to a light socket, they had noted things in the kitchen island were noted. I would never recommend them, the lie and won't own up to their mistakes! read more

This company was recommended to us by our realtor, Bert Meadows, when we were buying our first home. We were naive and just trusted in the process and we really wanted our home to have no problems so when the home inspection came back without any major issues we were happy. We move into the home and try to open a window, the window is hard to open and we can't get it up all the way. The next window, we open and the ballast is hanging loose and we can't get it closed. This inspector didn't open ANY of the windows in the house and I have to go spend $10,000 on windows! What a farce! These guys are cheats! read more

Christian Castaneda, inspector, employed by USA Home Inspections (520 NE 14th Ocala Florida., 34470) did a very sloppy job inspecting my home in The Villages FL. He took several pictures in the garage but missed a glooming foundation crack in the garage under a door leading to the kitchen. This crack ultimately traversed the entire length of the home, a defect any competent inspector would not have missed. A bedroom window could not be opened and the master shower floor had a large crack, more signs of foundation issues. USA Home Inspections is a joke! Don't even consider them for any of your work! Their inspection team are a bunch of rookies, they have no clue as to what is required for a proper home inspection. read more

I've used USA Home Inspections on various occasions for my primary home and investment properties. I'm not a realtor or in the business. I'm a home owner with a couple of properties. They conduct a thorough inspection on a timely basis, respond quickly to inquiries, are easy to work with, and reasonably priced. I will keep using them in the future. read more

Their inspector missed major issues i.e. black mold and leaking pipes. Wood deck was junk. Roof was terrible. They refused an refund, Do not use this company. They were recommended by Stellar Realtors who would recommend not using. read more

I've worked with over a dozen home inspectors over the years and USA Home Inspections is the worst I've encountered. The inspection was started and almost completed before I arrived on site at the appointed time. The inspection was rushed, with important items such as moisture tests not performed and the termite inspection was omitted from my report. My inspector offered limited communication, no verbal summery of the inspection and replied "that will be in the written report" to most of my questions. The written report primarily addressed obvious flaws with the home that I was already aware of and was not, what I would consider, an in depth report. The office staff are difficult to reach and seem impatient when they do answer the phone. All in all, not a good experience. read more

I am not certain what the home inspector actually did at the property that we bought in Ocala?? My contractor has found visible black mold in every single room, wiring that was ready to cause a fire, outside PVC pipes, that had the inspector checked them, he would have noticed that some had burst and some were degraded to the point of bursting, and many other issues completely missed. I'm guessing the inspector was in a rush, high, drunk? Who knows. I only know we lived in another state and trusted that the inspection would be done professionally. It was not. If you hire this company, which I would never recommend, make sure you follow them around and watch everything they do, and then get a second opinion. read more

I have flipped a few homes and have had many different home inspectors inspect the homes, USA HOME INSPECTIONS is the worst that I have used. The inspector did the inspection in less then an hour and a half. He was quick and not really looking for bad problems. I have owned the house they inspected for about 5 months now and I found many problems that were clear and they missed. First thing they missed that the house has Aluminum electrical wiring, I have talked to other inspector and they stated that this has to be reported every time because this type or wire tends to start fires. When I took my electrical panel off you can clearly see the aluminum wires, so it's not like they were hidden. On the outside they missed the big hole next to the AC that was connecting the wires and tubes to the inside. In front of the house the electrical drop rubbing so hard on a tree that it was cutting it. So that wire is about to catch that whole tree on fire. I called USA inspection and asked them to cover the cost of cutting down the tree because it is $1,000. The woman on the phone told me that she will tell the owner to call me back and he never did. I would never recommend this company to anyone. read more

If I could give this place negative stars I would. Not only did they miss 3 roof leaks but they also missed a plumbing problem that cost over $1000 to fix that was found right after I signed all closing papers. The company also charged more last minute because of the size of my porch. We called the company and found out the inspector had been let go shortly after inspecting my house. The owner was rude, pompous, and was so defensive when all we wanted to do was let them know so there wouldn't be other customers with the same experience.
