I have used this company in the past and they had done great work for me. This time my 89-year-old Mom with dementia receives an estimate. This estimate was so over a price. It was ridiculous. Another company quoted her $80 and this quote company quoted her 300. My mother thought it was 30. I told my mom she had to be mistaken and when I went to her house she had already paid this gentleman. I'm very surprised that this company would take advantage of an elderly woman with dementia. Had USA Tree Service out on 9/12/25 to cut down a huge pine tree (well over 3 ft in dia) that had been hit by lightning. The crew was very skilled and very professional. They dealt with a number of constraints, including limited access and tight turns. They cut down and hauled off the tree with no mishaps. They left the area very clean. I am very pleased with the work and price. I'm sure I will be using them again next time I have a tree needing attention. read more

I honestly don't understand the low ratings for this company...? These folks were top notch in every way and gave a very fair price! Zack came out to my new property which wasn't looked after for almost 10 years. He listened to what I wanted to do and provided me with excellent advice as to which trees needed to go verses what could reasonably stay. When the crew arrived, Dave, Patrick and the whole crew were incredibly professional and made short work of the task at hand. Bob came out the next day too grind down all the stumps, including one very big azalea bush stump 10-15 years in the making. I will happily go with USA Tree Services again for my property needs. I would give them zero stars if I could. They showed up and gave me an estimate, said job would be no problem. When they got there, they said my logs were to big for them to load with the loader they had. They gave me a phone number of a different tree company to call and have my wood removed. I called the other company, and they promptly removed the wood from my property and I paid them for the work. USA Tree also sent me a bill for removing the wood they never touched, they are unprofessional and dishonest to say the least. I will never call then again. read more

I made an appointment for a tree removal estimate and was given a morning appointment. The time for which I was slotted came and left. I called to ask for their ETA and was told that the service man will arrive later than expected. Once the service man arrived, I recieved a quote and proceeded to schedule the tree removal. I was advised that I would receive a phone call the day before the scheduled appoint, and I did not. I called to verify the appointment and was told that it is not for the day it was scheduled for but rather three days later ( I was scheduled for a Saturday and was told my appointment is now on a Tuesday). I find this company to lack professionalism, time management, and reliability. I would not recommend to my worse enemy. read more

We used USA tree service once in the past for a larger job (removing three large trees) and the experience was great. The second time (recently) we needed something done which was a much smaller job (trimming a large tree) and it has been like pulling teeth to have them come out. Over the past 4 weeks they have told us each week that they would "be out this week to do the job" and never showed up. When we called to find out why they act as if our job is not important they continuously give us excuses that they are "backed up". I can only think that it is because my job isn't as large of a job as the one I hired them for previously. They did not appreciate my business and told me I was "welcome to go with another company if I like". They showed no concern about loosing my business. I would not use them again. read more

Called to have shrubs trimmed around electric meter box on house and they trimmed the shrubs around the electrical transfer box instead. They cut it down to nothing. Supervisor of crew said sorry and that they would replace shrubs. That never happened. read more

My sister and I have used this company over the past couple of years to remove many trees and stumps from the 5 acres we live on and were happy with the company until recently. The first complaint was with their referral service. I referred them to a friend who used them for work over 350. And was to have received a gift card. When I called, I was told by the woman who answered the phone that they would check into and send out the card. Never heard back and no card was received. Then over a week ago, we called to have a couple more trees removed which was done the same day. Price included stump removal which so far has yet to be done. When we call, we were told we were on the list and will be scheduled. Sorry, but that response doesn't cut it. Have called 3 times now and woman says she will check into and call us back, but she has not. We have been good customers for 2 years now, have spent a great deal of money using them, have referred them and now feel like we are being put off. Even if they are having a problem with their stump grinder, at least give us the courtesy of a return call. No complaints with Zach who gave us the estimate or the tree removal, but there will be no further referrals from us and will look to other companies next time we have work done. read more

I called this company back in Jan and was told that when there out my way they would call me. I told them great I needed something in the morning. They said no problem. After a month not hearing from anyone I called and got the same story. This Weekend will be April and am still waiting. When I keep calling I get the same story. One more thing actually when I said I was going with a different company since I have been waiting for 2 mos I get a response they can be here between 9 and 10 and then changed it to later in the day. DON'T USE THIS TREE SERVICE! I used them recently and while they did a good job, they didn't complete the stump grinding which I paid for. I called 5 TIMES to get someone to finish the job. I spoke with KIM each time and was given a date, each time, which they never came to finish the job. KIM is a TERRIBLE Customer Service person. Finally, I disputed the credit charge with Capital One for the stump grinding service they did not perform. That apparently got their attention, and they arrived weeks later to complete. This is one of those companies you need to avoid unless you want TOTAL UNPROFESSIONAL FRUSTRATING service. read more

The crew that did the tree cutting was great.....except a tree falling on my favorite large Philodendron and breaking it. The issues that we had with this tree service company was lack of communication and calls not returned. My advice is to not pay them until the entire job is complete. We were told multiple times that the stump grinder would be out and we waited all day and he did not show. Found out a few weeks later that the machines had been down and he was backed up....why didn't they tell us that in the first place instead of telling us someone would be out the next day and they never showed. I called twice and told them one of my large plants had been broken in the process of cutting the tree down. Do NOT use this horrible, shoddy, unethical tree service! These lying thieves are inept, incompetent, shoddy, pathetic, and over priced! They charged me $500 to remove a small tree with a bark no thicker than 2 inches. In the process of doing the work these morons cracked my driveway; the tree was in the middle of my lawn, not even near my driveway, but these incompetent imbeciles damaged my driveway! They acknowledged that they did indeed make a BIG crack in my driveway because they saw me looking at them when they actually did the damage. I caught them doing the damage otherwise they would have never admitted it. I called them regarding the damaged driveway numerous times, but these sub-humans never apologized or compensated me for the damage, even though It was confirmed that they DID the damage. They ignored and turned a deaf ear to my numerous phone calls. They did not even give me a simple apology for severely cracking my lovely driveway. Their unprofessional attitude and despicable behavior was very frustrating and upsetting! Their work ethics and customer service is nonexistent! When my snow bird neighbor returned to his home I spoke with my neighbor and he told me he used this company two years ago and my neighbor was extremely dissatisfied with USA Tree Service because they did poor work for my neighbor (I was not aware that my neighbor used USA Tree Service because I was out of town when the service was done on my neighbor's trees). If I had asked my neighbor I would have been alerted and aware NOT to use this awful and inept company. This is the reason I am writing this review, to alert and make people aware of this despicable, horrible, inept, unethical tree service. Stay away from USA Tree Service, they are liars and extremely incompetent, sloppy, unethical, and over priced! The quote was acceptable, they removed 3 trees on 5/18/16, clean-up was also acceptable, however, the price included stump grinding. This part of the job has yet to be done and it is now the last week of June. After MANY phone calls (spoke to Dawn, Eric, Steve) they have yet to finish this part of the job.
