I am truly disappointed. I had my procedure on 4/12 and never heard from a doctor for over a week and a half and it wasn't the doctor that did my procedure. USA Vein uses customer service as some link for follow up. CS reps are not qualified to assist medically, they do not take accurate notes (even though they call multiple times a day or week.) I was advised I needed someone with me post procedure and had multiple calls behind this ONLY for no one to check in to make sure I even made it home. I don't understand the hassle. I am also a single mother with a child with special needs. I called to ask if they could send what I would need to my pharmacy 24 hours before the procedure because my pharmacy would need to order out a few items. Instead, this was not noted anywhere, my scripts were not called in, the doctor took 1.5 hours after I arrived to call around to pharmacies for prescriptions I did not receive until 9pm due to them going to the incorrect pharmacy and not being cancelled. There is no way to reach the clinics or docs directly. It's not a level of care I am used to and it tracks poorly on the user end when we are in pain and no one cares or when we leave a procedure and no one tells you what's next, no paperwork except what they email you- which is simply not enough. I love the fact that women have options other than hysterectomies but USA Vein has a terrible lack of care and the CS reps do not remotely listen. I will say the supervisors did help me wonderfully - but why should one need to escalate? I can't honestly say I would recommend anyone do this procedure with USA Vein until they tighten up the process. Why can't I give ZERO stars??? As you can see from the dozens of complaints here, and the company responding with a "please email us!", the place is complete garbage. Yeah, tried that about 25 times when it was happening last year, and it took my attorney writing a letter to get my money back, so if you don't know who I am, that just tells me this stuff happens VERY often. They will probably end up being shut down over illegal billing practices shortly. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. I can't say anything about the clinic because the visit I had in manhattan location was great. I did not receive treatment because I had to cancel the appointment. But, what i can say is that the people they have in some central office that leave the calls to one's home. Those people are chronic nuisance, pain in the butt. I told them not to call me. I will call when I wish to return to the clinic. But, no..Juan, Irene, Marita, Mariel, julio, and many other keep calling my phone knowing I said stop. They do this 4x's every day. RUN as fast as you can away from this business. They simply rebranded Vein Clinics of America, probably to continue their insurance scam to milk as much as they can from the customer's insurance. In 2014, I went to Vein Clinics of America for sclerotherapy, but was told by the doctor (radiologist) that there could be unlying issues that should be addressed before sclerotherapy. He asked me if I'd had restless leg issues, itching, swelling, etc. all of which I responded with "No." He repeated his question, and I got the feeling that if I didn't have any of these issues that I would not be eligible for schlerotherapy, so I said "Yes" to get treatment for my broken veins. I was not aware at that time that I was going to have to receive vein ablation, sonograms, etc. just to have some spider veins treated! After the terrible vein ablation treatment that I experienced, I had to come back and have another sonogram. Yet two weeks after that, I received a call from them telling me I had to come in for a sonogram. I told them I had just been there two weeks prior, but they were insistent. I asked if there was a problem and was told that they didn't know, just that I was sheduled for an sonogram appointment. So I agreed to come in to clear things up with my radiologist of the week. (Found out later that this place was just a rotating door for trainees.) Told him if he didn't give me a good reason for my being there and BTW, that I suspected insurance fraud, then I was leaving. He got huffy, spun around to storm out, stopped and said YES, it WAS for the insurance and ran out of the examination room! Seriously! I left and never looked back. Please, do NOT let your vanity interfere with your common sense. Do your due diligence, thoroughly research the people that are going to perform any kind of medical procedure on your body. Make sure you get everything that your a required to pay in writing or they will make up charges that your insurance company didn't pay and then you cannot get an itemized receipt showing what these charges are for. As far as the procedures that get done, the dr and the traveling nurse argue back and forth bc they don't know what's going on, there was a different new nurse everytime I went in there, and the ultrasound guy blares Indian soap operas the whole time he is working on you. The facility I got my procedure done were great. My procedure is ok. I would have loved to continue using USA Vein for my other procedures (insurance never approved- if insurance did or does I wouldn't NEVER go back) the call center is the "WORST" they are extremely unprofessional. My health insurance was not approved for my next procedure as per doctor but I was billed $75 taken straight from my bank account for no show appointment and also billed for $250 for no show procedure both appointments I was unaware of because my insurance did not approve procedure. How can I get billed for something if I wasn't approved for by my health insurance. The appointments were only days apart without my acknowledgment (I do have a job). Although $75 was directly taken from my account (the registration IPAD sign u up with the debit card you pay with-surprise-they store your banking information). They also charged me with $15 copayment for two appointments(upon checking out I asked they said no copayment) those days was not even a week after Oct 18, 25 and the no shows days after Oct 31 & Nov 5. As much as I wish my insurance approved more ... I can't understand why USA VEIN is dishonest to their patients. I've been trying to get help with my account since Oct 2019 zero results. My iPhone charger was also stolen from the Ocean ave office. Yes, it was reported no results. The actual staff in the Stony Brook, NY location were polite and friendly. However, the scheduling and BILLING are atrocious! They gave an incorrect code for one of my procedures and when my insurance company rejected it for incorrect code they charge my credit card $400 SIX DAYS IN A ROW. My insurance company no longer accepts that doctor (and I have a great PPO in NY, never had that happen before in the middle of treatment but I guess the insurance company had enough dealing with their billing department too!). I never finished treatment. I had to cancel my credit card (I only used it to pay my $25 copay and they illegally charged without my permission). Everything was sorted out and paid by my insurance company back in June but I STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED MY MONEY BACK despite spending HOURS on the phone trying to get my money back. I was finally told 2 weeks ago a check would be sent to me in 2 weeks. I call back today to find out where my check is so I can pay my mortgage and I was told about another 2 - 4 weeks to get my check. I have NEVER dealt with this level of blatant dishonesty and incompetence in my life. And yes...I did initially dispute the charges on my credit card but was unable to provide proof that the insurance company paid yet because it was still getting sorted out (because their billing department is an absolute DISASTER!). I paid my credit card bill at the time because I always pay it off in full. No Scleroterapy treatment are performed --it's a waste of time!! I recently had an extremely frustrating experience -- After booking an appointment, being assured that the location selected was available and performing scleroterapy treatment, I was met with disappointment and inconvenience. Upon arriving at the designated location, I was informed that the procedure I had requested was not being performed there. I was completely taken aback by this news, as I had to request a couple of hours from work. The staff there was nice but offered no solution or alternative at that moment, leaving me feeling utterly stranded and confused. In an attempt to rectify the situation, I was directed to call the central booking center. I explained the situation, hoping they would swiftly find a suitable alternative for me. The representativeinformed me that the only available option was to book a new appointment at the Brooklyn location, apologizing for the inconvenience and reassuring me that this location would have been the right one for the scleroterapy treatement. The earliest available slot was in two days' time. Undeterred by the inconvenience, I decided to give the service one more chance and eagerly attended the newly assigned location, requesting again time away from work. To my dismay, history repeated itself. After spending 45 mins for the commute, at the moment of the check-in I was told that the requested treatment was not performed at that particular facility and I was sent back home with no solution. Needless to say, I am beyond frustrated and deeply dissatisfied with the overall experience. The lack of coordination, miscommunication, and disregard for my time and energy have left a sour taste in my mouth. After one hour and a half I reeceive a call from someone from the Central booking center, inquiring why I did not show up to the visit. I was beyong annoyed and explained that I did but that I was sent immediately home with no prior communication. No one was unpolite to me but everyone was lost, no communication, no information and no solution. I had my consultation back in January. I was given appointment for April to start my procedures. I was called day before to cancel said appointment as office would be closed. I was unable to make another appointment at the time of the cancelation. They charged me $250 for a missed appointment 2 weeks later that I NEVER MADE. Based on my experience this organization has decent enough physicians and in-office staff, but otherwise no sense of how to treat clients professionally when billing or scheduling. They commonly get you right into the exam room, but it was standard to then wait 20 minutes before seeing a physician or ultrasonographer, and twice I waited (dressed only in their disposable exam shorts) over an hour. The second time I heard through the door when the receptionist reminded the ultrasonographer I had been waiting 45 minutes...the ultrasonographer complained that she was triple booked and hadn't had lunch yet. After that I waited another 35 minutes and simply got dressed and left. On leaving the receptionist confirmed my long delay was because "the corporate office had triple-booked the ultrasonographer." Secondly, during one visit I was told I had a balance to pay (Co-pay for previous visit). Before the visit my wife said she had just sent a check for my co-pay, so don't pay because the check is on the way. The receptionist told me that was fine. The following day the "billing department" called upset (and rude) that I had an unpaid balance and wanted immediate payment by credit card over the phone. They demanded payment even though I told them my wife had mailed a check. They hinted that if I didn't pay they would use alternate ways to get my payment (collections I presume). I still refused to pay and they never did call again presumably because the check my wife mailed arrived. Next, they called me a few days before an re-check exam scheduled several months previous. They had to re-schedule (a MONTH later) because the physician I was to see "no longer accepted" my insurance (which is incredible because I have a BCBS group PPO that has NEVER been rejected by any of my previous physicians). Finally, because I am fed up with the games this group plays, I decided to leave and asked for my records. They told me they have a high per-page charge. So if I charged them my hourly rate, for all of my time they wasted seems they should at least provide free records to a patient who they let down. These folks are con-artists. All they want is to overbook, then push patients through the door, and make sure they squeeze you for every cent. AVOID them! read more

They changed my appointment time on three different occasions without my consent to times when I was not available. Twice, when I showed up for my actual scheduled time, they squeezed me in. The third time, in freezing rain, the office was locked and they told me I had missed my appointment. No, I hadn't-- the system changed the time again. I am finding a new vein doctor. I received friendly appt text reminders up until appointment date. Showed up for the first time, overcrowded, I'm not even greeted and there were three ladies in front desk mingling, then one of them told me to sign my name in. Half hour later, I got up and asked a second girl if I needed to fill out any forms and she said that she had called me (which wasn't true cause I was sitting right next to the counter). Two hours later I got up again and asked the same girl that told me to sign-in how much longer I had to wait and she said to me "I know it's ridiculous the wait time in here get used to it" this is someone that works here! This is a nationwide clinic so there is no attention to patient in detail. Feels like a chop shop procedure. What they don't tell you is the excruciating pain you will be in for days after procedure. It feels like being labor for days on end. At least 4 or 5 days you will be in excruciating pain and percocet will barely numb the pain. I learned afterwards that fibroids grow back, sometimes with a vengeance and so I dont think this was a necessity given the painful recovery. I wish someone told me how painful it was going to be. If you do have it done make sure you have 24/7 care for at least a week. Someone to help with pain meds and feeding you. Also, I was awake throughout my procedure which was so bizarre and even felt some pain while the doctor was operating on me. Please review all your options and get second and third and fourth opinions before getting this done. I personally regret it heavily and I also don't appreciate being told I was going to be "uncomfortable" for days following procedure. No! You will be in SEVERE PAIN for days!!!! read more

i called and made an appt on 2/5/20. i have in network only coverage, they confirmed they are in my network on 2/5/20. today is 2/20/20 my appt is tomorrow. i called this morning to confirm my appt for tomorrow. all i called about was to confirm the appt. the person who took my call at usa vein started talking about a 200.00 payment due tomorrow. the way my insurance works is the doctor bills my insurance, i receive a determination letter from my insurance carrier and when the doctor bill arrives the amounts must match. then i can pay. usa vein does not seem to know how insurance works. i waited 5hrs today to get an answer from their billing dept only to be told they are no long in network, now i question if they ever were????? get it together usa vein!!! there are terrible reviews online and i should have known better!! anyone know of a vein center that is not a scam?!? read more

I almost never leave reviews anywhere for anything but the disappointment that I'm experiencing is palpable. The misinformation I was given criminal. I was scheduled for one service and after waiting for over an hour was advised on a service I didn't ask for. Another patient walked out because the doctor had not arrived after an hour and to make matters worse I continued to get misinformation from the national customer service center. There is no compassion and its clear they are in it just for the money. Please do better and show compassion to the people who come to you for help. This place is a criminal organization out to do nothing but steal your money!!! At no point in life have I ever seen such a poorly run organization. They are easily the most dishonest company out there. My wife's vein therapy was quoted at $2500. We never received a bill after any visits even though we requested them. They lied about us being partially covered by insurance. Then after multiple attempts at seeing a bill we were verbally told we owed $52k dollars!!! No joking at all!! Then a bogus bill was sent to us stating that was what we owed. After talking to multiple billing representatives they all of a sudden dropped us down to $6500 owed. It then took another 2 months to see a corrected bill. We were then offered to pay $4500 verbally. We want to pay the $2500 intially quoted.
