One area on my leg developed major inflammation afterward, yet they offered no follow-up care or concern for my well-being. I truly feel they overtreated me just to bill insurance for unnecessary procedures. It also seemed suspicious that they wouldn't allow me to take photos or videos during the leg scans -- that should've been my red flag to walk out. I regret not trusting my instincts, especially now that I see others have had similarly terrible experiences. Before their procedures, I never had inner leg pain -- only mild discomfort on the outer sides. After they performed ablations on my inner saphenous and lower saphenous veins, my circulation actually got worse for nearly two years. They sold me on the idea that I could return to work the same day, but the pain was so severe that I was sometimes in tears trying to stand on my feet. On some days, the only way I could keep working was by elevating the treated leg while standing -- it was traumatic and exhausting. To make things worse, the doctor who began my treatments retired just a month or two later, leaving me with no continuity of care and no concern from the clinic. Overall, my experience with Texas Vein and Wellness was deeply disappointing and damaging -- both physically and emotionally.

So if you need varicose vein treatment or diagnoses, or just a check for things like clots and what not, they're a great option, affordable, especially if you have insurance which we sadly don't, but not bad regardless.

So I agree with the reviews on here that Dr. Horsefield is knowledgeable. I don't think that can be…read moreargued. What I don't appreciate is when medical practitioners get offended when you ask questions, or challenge theories when it comes to your own health. It is my body and my life, I think every patient should ask questions and challenge conventional theories. I have a thyroid issue. I am trying to find ways to heal it. I have been seeing Dr. Horsefield for maybe 5 years now, and have noticed passive aggressiveness before... but what I recently experienced is clearly unacceptable. I saw him for my regular annual appointment 3 months ago. My TSH levels were too high, so I got on some thyroid supplements and we retested about 6 weeks later. The results came in and the TSH levels were too low. I have since readjusted my medication and sent him an email politely asking if he could order the bloodwork to retest my levels so I can ensure i am now healthy and found the right balance. His response was callous. I have attached a photo with the passive aggressive response, where he makes it clear that he wont put the test in the system because he doesn't get paid for "answering emails, ordering tests, reviewing tests, communicating test results and maintenance of records" ..... REALLY? Aren't those tasks associated with being a doctor? I would be happy to pay him, for me it isn't about the money at all. In addition, clearly SOMEONE is getting paid when I order these lab tests because I'm charged thousands of dollars for them. All I need though is the bloodwork.... and he doesn't have availability for 2 months!?! I'm extremely disappointed that someone in the healthcare field is so much more concerned about their wallet than their patients health. Also if he wanted to charge me a processing fee that is fine, but his solution is clearly not in my best interest to wait 2 months and potentially do irreversible damage to my body.
