His staff or some of the nicest I've ever seen. Especially the receptionist who's been a long time employee. I would recommend Dr yang to anyone looking for a primary care physician. Then she agreed to ask Dr. Lim, and after days of waiting, I received the update that Dr. Lim did not order it as it was not part of a regular annual checkup (despite that there is justification due to the medical history???), and I can come back for a follow up to have it ordered. On Dec. 30, I felt really sick as my ears were in pain. I came to the office at 8:40ish and was turned away by a nurse because I needed a negative COVID test result even though I was fully vaccinated. It took me until 2pm the same day to get a negative test result. Guess what! I called and the same nurse told me that Dr. Tai didn't do walk-in that day because of COVID. I came to another clinic in Bellaire and they didn't even ask me for the COVID test. All they care was I was sick, and I needed to see a doctor ASAP. I got even more sick because of running around to find a place that has COVID result in a day. The nurse should have told me that they didn't accept walk-in when I was there in the morning. I wasted my time and energy for nothing!!! This is not the only bad experience I have. In 2016, my sister and I came for HPV vaccine. I asked if they offered the vaccine there. A nurse told us that there was no such vaccine in the world. We left and got the HPV vaccine from Dr. Bich Nguyen's clinic. We are trying pills and sprays first so I appreciate her measured response. If that doesn't do the trick we will then look at shots. WITH insurance!!! I've been to plenty of other places that charge $50. They try to tell you "oh it's because the doctor spends an hour with you and goes over your charts." Seriously? I've been through the ringer with infertility for years, spent thousands and thousands of dollars and never have I felt so robbed the second I walked up to a doctors office window. This could have easily been avoided had their communication skills been better and called us back when we initially asked them on the phone about the consultation fee. However, no such luck so we put it in good faith that when we arrived it would be a close ball park estimate of what we had paid in the past. We came here because of the good reviews... We could see from the second that we walked in that the pool must have been very saturated. Did they pay for these reviews? I honestly cannot believe it. I highly suggest HFI- Houston Fertility Institute to anyone reading this. They are so much more professional and truly act like they care about their patients, not just their money.
