Terrible service. My building uses this insurance, and after filling a claim for flooding (from a broken AC unit), they have taken almost a month and still no approval. So the work cannot start and we are stuck living with no drywall in various areas and a mess everywhere as we cleared out the areas with drywall missing. read more

This company really disappointed my family when getting insurance. They were disorganized and unpleasant. The rep Karen Roth was a nightmare, it felt like an adversarial relationship. I hardly ever write reviews, but I had to share my experience. This company is the worst for single home insurance. I didn't choose them, just received a letter years ago that they are my designated agent. I have not had any interaction with them until they let my insurance policy get cancelled without notifying me. When I reached out to them for resolution, they ignored me for days and when I finally got a hold of them, they said they don't want to deal with it and I should go figure it out. It simply doesn't get any worse. I found a new agent and what a difference! Picking an agent is your choice and if you can avoid this company do so. read more

USI Is horrible. We are an HOA in SE Florida and Last year our only contact was one named LUIS Correa (according to my notes) Who worked for an agent in Tampa. Luis billed our HOA a week before it was due. We could not get in touch with Luis and were frantically scrambling on coverages and making sure policy did not expire. We called Corporate in NY and one of the execs knew exactly who Luis was because that exec use to be regional manager to USI . Lets just say He did not recommend Luis. We called this Ft Laud office on Feb 12, gave them our HOA policy and they said Luis is our agent. - lol. I also called Corporate in NY yesterday and left a message. No call back yet We have been offered to be assigned to a different agent but its unikley the HOA will be using anyone affiliated with USI. read more

I main mainly disappointed with the broker that is responsible for my company (Mercy Ships). It seems like they would be advocates for us, yet the person I spoke with did nothing to help, except to point me back to my own HR department, who would only go back to her. It never ends. Not only this, but the first time I spoke with her to explain my problem and situation, she talked over me and then in a rude tone suggested that I stop talking so we could continue the conversation. Not only does she not possess customer service skills, seems like she doesn't know how to do her job correctly either. Don't be a representative on behalf of people/a company if you're not willing to ask the right questions or even do one thing about it. read more

This sounds like the worst insurance company I have ever dealt with. They call you about an incident and threaten you and tell you they are going to do all types of things to destroy your business and tell you how bad your employees are when they have never been to your Establishment. They are the type of people that you would never want to deal with. "Jeff Clinkscales "is the worst insurance broker I have ever talked to!! he is someone that you wouldn't ever work with because all of his threats are hollow and mean absolutely nothing is as if he has no knowledge of peoples thoughts and what they may know. Just for this companies information dealing with his client gets the client much further than dealing with the agent I would give them less of a zero if possible. I have dealt over many years with both Windstorm/Hurricane Insurance and Flood Insurance with multiple properties over 40 years. The non USI representatives have taken consistent care of my concerns and suggestions for insurance coverage, and communicate on a regular basis. I just sold one of my principle properties, a deep water home in Fort Lauderdale where sadly USI was the agent for both the Windstorm and Flood Policies. Their representatives in no way fulfill their fiduciary responsibilities, and with regard to the Flood Policy, refuse to even answer the phone, and force a voicemail scenerio with no return call on any type of time is of the essence thinking. In additon, their failure to solve issues with major carriers of Windstorm policies like Citizens Insurance, often comes from complete neglect of timely follow on critical issues. All of my other properties are insured with reliable agents from other companies. In closing, USI should not be a last or no choice Insurance company for your property requirements read more

I have commercial liability insurance through USI. It is the worst service imaginable. They are lucky to be able to find my policy in under a day of back and forth with numerous people over the phone. I have had my policy cancelled with no notification. I have zero confidence that I would be covered if I needed it. I have had 0 claims, and nothing but problems. Run and run fast, unless you prefer to spend your time battling with your insurance company read more
