Let's put it this way, even when I didn't have dental insurance, I still went to Dr. Feinberg because: 1. He's no nonsense and leads with minimum necessary interventions (no upsells or scare tactics about teeth) 2. He's detailed, informative, and again no nonsense with what I need to do to take care of my teeth 3. When I found myself needing a mouthguard for my night time teeth grinding, he suggested I try some good affordable OTC products first before considering a much more expensive custom guard 4. The staff are responsive and on top of their game with calling back for urgent issues and the like I don't exactly live close to his office, but I continue to go because they're the best. I'd say the only caveat is that they're closed on Friday and Sunday and aren't emergency dentists. Can't really be mad at them for that though.

His certifications are right on the wall in his office, and several review sites say he has had no malpractice lawsuits and is board certified. My mom works in a personal injury and malpractice law office, and found no lawsuits in Philadelphia listed against his business or him personally. I've never really had to wait long in the lobby, and the assistants are always accommodating when it comes to scheduling, especially with emergency visits. It's true that Dr. Soapes doesn't talk much when working, but I'd rather a dentist quietly focus on doing a good job, rather than talk my ear off. He is always very intent on making sure I am comfortable and he is focused on doing great work. I honestly have no complaints whatsoever. I recommend him to my family and friends, and most of them feel the same way I do.

The broken tooth they said needed extraction in two out of the three doesn't need taken out either. He had given me a magnifying mirror so I could see every tooth he described. Something I have never seen. The Doc at Friendly did find one that needed removed to clear me for the surgery I need at the cost of $125 as opposed to $1900. I literally asked the young lady at the desk if she was joking. Talk about "sticker shock" as the saying goes.
