They're worse than my general doctor. They were lazy. If they would have taken an xray of my whole right top and bottom they would have found the problem. I don't recommend them. They don't show empathy. All they care about is money. If you're in excruciating pain, they'll give you a referral. I picked up laziness with the way the dentist acted when I asked her if she was going to leave me in pain. Never going back to this office or any of its affiliates. This was the problem, which they could have done. I had to leave work early because of the pain and walk-in into a beautiful office that cares and shows empathy. That's fine, except for the fact that it's impossible to get a cleaning appointment. I was told their next available is October, so they'll call with cancellations...which is extremely last minute and inconvenient on such short notice. Please stop accepting new patients (and even worse, billing their insurance for exams) if you can't provide appointments for the requested and needed treatments. I would have never come in to see the dentist if I knew it would be next to impossible to get a cleaning done. Super disappointing and a huge waste of my time as a working mom.

We made and attended appointments - and then I was told that they do not take my insurance. (but they are listed on my insurance web site - go figure). Anyways, they charged me several hundred dollars more for my regular cleaning. - like more than 3x more than what they charged my bfs insurance for his cleaning. I paid so this mess wouldn't go to collections. And then I had to fight them thru my insurance. This office lied to my insurance and claimed they sent me full repayment even though they had not. My insurance handled it but it took forever - and then I was finally paid back. Once settled and reimbursed I walked away and found a new dentist. Never to set foot in this unethical office again. Since we love Dr Volinsky, my bf continued scheduling appointments every 6 months, seeing Dr V w no problems. At his very last appointment, my bf had to take vacation from work for his appointment. He arrives, and the hygientist takes one look and tells him his teeth need so much cleaning that they couldn't possibly fit it in during his appointment. (meanwhile he was just there 6 months before for a cleaning that this office did!! Plus! He brushes multiple times a day and flosses daily. Plus he took vacation from work for this exact purpose). He would need a much more costly cleaning and if they did it that day insurance would prob not cover it. They wanted him to reschedule. Then!!! Instead of Dr Volinsky coming in, another dentist enters the room and tells him that Dr Volinsky just retired!!! Like it was an out of the blue decision Dr V made that morning or something. So he would not be seeing Dr V at the appointment he had scheduled w Dr V!!! The office scheduled an appointment w a Dr who doesn't work there!! Then doesn't inform the client that he won't be seeing the person he is there to see!!! So shady. But it gets shadier. This new doctor suddenly found all kinds of costly problems w his teeth!!! Problems that were not there 6 months before when he saw Dr Volinsky. Including wanting to pull teeth from his mouth. Obvi - he got the hell out of there and has not returned. Lastly, this office will tell you at least 100x while you are there that they are the "official dentist office of the Eagles". As if I also work in a career where I am getting my teeth busted up and need a similar procedure to an athlete from our football team. Ironically, my dermatologist is the official derm of the eagles and the only way I found this out was because 15 years into being her patient, she needed to switch my appt to go on the team plane to the Superbowl. But I guess she has her reputation to go on so she doesn't need to mention this. (unlike this awful office).

I had been seeing Dr Malek for about two years, and have some dental issues. I require a gum graft and can sometimes be inconsistent with cleanings due to sometimes struggling with my mental health. However, Dr Malek was initially personable when I was a new patient, then was harsh and impersonal when I returned to her practice for my cleaning. Then - I was informed that "my insurance wasn't covering the procedures I had at the right percentage" In reality, Nicholas Cosmetic had gone out of network for MetLife and no one at the practice informed me - nor was I informed when I first started their as a patient. Of course, I'd already made my way to their office, wasting my time and their time. When I said it would have been nice to receive a phone call prior to my appointment the office manager mumbled some snarky retort and was unhelpful. Further, I have concerns about the quality of work on my teeth. For months, a filling affected my bite which I've never experienced before. Then recently, floss got stuck on a piece of composite in my mouth which eventually chipped off. Doesn't seem serious but makes me question the quality of work. I also had a "deep cleaning" that Dr. Malek said I needed if I didn't want to lose my teeth - which seems to have been utter malarky. I went in for the deep cleaning and she spent approximately fifteen minutes cleaning my teeth. I was prescribed a mouth wash for the inflammation - which never came. When I told my new dentist this, she was shocked. It's clear by her designer puppy roaming the office and her Goyard bag that Dr. Malek has made her income the priority, not the care of her patients. They do have an excellent hygienist on their staff who is wonderful and I know from a different office. Given the choice of excellent dental practices in Philadelphia and amount of competition here, I will be shocked if Dr. Malek's practice survives another year. Come here if you want unnecessary procedures performed, your pocket drained, and to be treated without dignity or respect.

The waiting room was clean and inviting, and there were plenty of current magazines. My cleaning was very thorough and I liked the dental hygienist - I wish I could remember her name! She did a great job and my teeth felt shiny and new after she was through. She also gave me a couple tips for how to care for my sensitive teeth, which was appreciated. The dentist was fairly quick as most dentists are, but I had a positive experience with her as well. I'm so happy to have found a new dental practice in my area that takes my insurance and makes me feel comfortable!
