We were already in Greensboro for the weekend so driving to downtown High Point wasn't too far out of the way. We just needed an appointment ASAP for an upcoming trip out of the country! The confirmation email I received after scheduling our appointment online asked for us to arrive 10 minutes early, and I can see why because at 2:30 PM they were really busy! This post office has a sign up on the wall asking for a limit of 4 people to be inside at a time, which people were clearly not following, but there was no one in the separate room for the passports, so it was fine for us... At least everyone was wearing a mask! The woman helping us get our applications in order was very friendly, helpful, and made great small talk while we were there. My appointment for 2 adults was scheduled from 2:30 - 3:00 but we got everything taken care of, including photo (and a retake or two), and were out of there within 15 minutes! I was pretty impressed. On our way out, we did encounter someone asking us for a dollar, which is always a little uncomfortable, but other than that, the passport service here was 5 stars from me.

He was like a stand-up comedian, he added so much life & spirit to this little gem of a place, and he knew all the older regulars by name and they adored him as well. And yes the mail does run a little late in my apt complex too, but both mail carriers went ABOVE & BEYOND the past year to get my mail to me in spite of a hiccup with my forwarding order from Charlotte. I really like this post office, as it's usually never overly crowded and easy to get in and out of…read morequickly. The larger post office in Lexington is nice but always quite crowded if you're in a hurry and the parking is situated oddly there. Anyways, as I mentioned this is a smaller post office but they still offer the conveniences you would find at the main branch. Welcome is located between Lexington and Arcadia. So I find it really convenient to drop off packages for my business before going through Arcadia to get to Winston. The employees are usually friendly and helpful to answer any questions. They have a large table in the foyer which is handy if you're needing to pack things in boxes while you're there.

Unfortunately, I had a pretty bad/questionable experience on a recent return drop off. I arrived, and there was no one behind the counter that I could see. What I did see though, was a mountain of returns behind the counter. Eventually, after a few minutes, someone came meandering out from the back. I jokinginly said to the guy "it looks like you've been busy with returns", which he aknowledged, and told me their system has been down, so the returns have been piling up until it's back online. I asked how long it had been, and he wasn't sure, could only tell me a several days....there must have been over 100 packages piled up waiting to go back to Amazon. Not really knowing what he meant by the "system is down", I asked if I should take my package elsewhere. He said, no, he could provide a receipt, and it would get there "eventually". I let him scan my package, and he provided me a receipt, a receipt, which litterally had no information on it. It litterlally listed the nubmer of packages as 0, weight N/A, no description, no information about what I was returning at all. I asked him about this, and he said that's standard, that's how the receipt always looks. I left, got out to the car and looked at the receipt a little more, and noticed, it literally says "This receipt lists each package received by the UPS Store", which it clearly did not. I went back in, and again had to wait for the guy doing god knows what in the back. It was only minutes later, and he had no idea who I was, clearly stoned out of his mind. I asked for my package back, which as on the top of the pile, yet it took me having to point and guide him with "hot/cold" to get it back. I'm not sure what's going on in this store, and their "system being down", I sure hope everyone that left their packages there got a refund, but I wasn't willing to take that gamble. Do better guys!

Do NOT ship from here unless you are prepared to read EVERY tiny detail on their point of sale …read more.. their cashiers are honestly amazing!!! BUT HUMAN! Made an error... ultimately cost me $106 in shipping and $250 in goods! I went into the store... the staff owned their mistake... management (Matt) said because I signed the little kiosk (I did... but because like all of us.. believed it said what we spoke about and what I paid for).. he said .. basically .. "sucks to be you! You shoulda read the fine print". I will NEVER step foot in this store again... EVER!
