I'm disappointed that my mail carrier will not place my packages at my front door and my building is right next to our community mailboxes. I'm assuming they do not want to walk the 16 flight of stairs that I walk every day. They will not even bring a certified letter upstairs. They leave my packages at the front office and if the front office is closed I get a message saying package could not be delivered. There is a big box for oversized items but my carrier says there is no key to it. The front office is not my address nor is that address on any of my packages. I would rather meet the carrier at the bottom of my stairs than get in my car and drive up front to retrieve my package. The front office was closed today April 11th so my package gets passed off to the next carrie. Nine times out of ten that carrier will do the same thing and I will not get my package until Monday if the front office is open. I have spoken to the Complex manager and she explained that I must sign a form to have the carrier leave my Amazon at my door. That makes no sense. On my Amazon account it states Leave At Front Door. we have a postal carrier who is constantly Slow everyday.... we're out in cattle crossing subdivision.... funniest part ....two other carriers who deliver on her day off ... get here by 1:30 ...2-3 hrs faster ..... talk about milking the job !!!! somebody needs to follow this carrier and do a time study and find out just exactly why they are so slow and lazy. How about you get workers who will actually deliver packages to the apartment units like you're supposed to. You know, not REFUSE to deliver to the units and bring them into the front office just because you don't want to learn where the units are? Maybe that would be a start. I have NEVER in my life met people who are this miserable. I got an Amazon notification saying that my package had been delivered to the USPS facility so I went to pick it up this morning. The RUDE lady behind the blue door took forever to come ask what I needed, then took 20 minutes to go look on the computer to see where my package was. She explained nothing to me except that my package would be delivered today. When I asked why it wasn't delivered (I didn't know if there was an issue with my address that I needed to fix) she replied in a hateful tone "I already explained that to you"... and she didn't? I then said, "are you okay this morning, you've been very hostile with me since I've walked in when I'm just trying to find my package", she then closed the door in my face. No stars. This is without a doubt the worst post office in America. Each week I end up delivering pieces of mail to my neighbors houses because the driver does not double check what mail they are putting in what box. I have had packages delivered to me open and the contents have been removed. I had packages they claim were delivered but on further checking were not or they were sent to a different area all together. I have had mail on rainy days delivered soaking wet or the driver leaves the mail box open in the rain so that the mail gets soaking wet before you can get it. This city has 0 work ethic. I get it, we had a hurricane. But why did they say my package was undeliverable bc there was BRANCHES and LEAVES down, but you could clearly go around it if you actually get out of your vehicle and walk towards my apartment instead of sitting in the mail van and peeking over like this person did. Its like these people strive to do as little effort as possible. Thats not even the worse part, they are supposed to attempt to redeliver the next day, never came. That was Wednesday and it is now Friday and doesn't seem like ill be getting mail today either. So not only are they not bringing my packages, they aren't bringing any mail to my apartment complex at all for the past 2 days. Like yall are avoiding giving me my stuff and that's crazy. The staff here is slow and impolite. We waited for 10 min, only to be told they couldn't help us with our situation. The post office in Lakeland is much more helpful and friendly. I will GLADLY make the drive to avoid high wait times and rude unprofessional customer service. I'm very disappointed yet again here. Avoid this location if you can! read more

I give this 0/5 stars, i don't receive ANY of MY mail. Even the Valdosta utility bills that are supposed to be mailed to my house. Packages always say "out for delivery" even early in the mornings 6-8am NEVER get delivered same day, sit back and watch your EXPECTED mail to drive right past your house every single time. the drivers are shady and racist and always deliver my black neighbors mail but not mine? This Post office frequently misses delivery/pickup to our local business. Tracking numbers state "out for delivery" but nobody shows. When I try to call the office to inquire they do not answer the telephone. We have have even had packages scanned as "delivered" when they in fact weren't. read more

It's now become a standard that when I see an "out for delivery" update on my tracking number, I KNOW I won't receive it that day. Three deliveries in a row (ranging from 16 Aug 2022 to 5 OCT 2022) AFTER the time frame has passed I'll get a "a delivery was attempted" notification, even though it wasn't. If you're in the valdosta area, pay for UPS or Fedex if the option is available from your seller. read more

What is it with this particular post office and delivery of Amazon packages? I've had several times when my carrier scanned them as delivered but they're not. Then they show up days later. Even though the pervious information on the delivery confirmation tracking shows the exact day they show up at the post office. And must be just sitting there because they're getting scanned as delivered. I guess it's a case of when my carrier feels like getting out of his LLV and delivering my packages is when I actually recieve them. read more

I ordered items from Amazon. I was expecting them on Saturday. I didn't receive them on that day. I thought I did not received them. However, on the following Tuesday, I found one of the packages in my mailbox opened. I went on the site to see if the other item was delivered. it showed that both was delivered to my address on Saturday on my porch or steps. This is a lie, neither was left at my address. I checked the mailbox all day that day. I had to walk down the steps in order to get to the mailbox. I am very, very upset. Who ever the substitute postal carrier was for that day messed up. I do not know what she did but she did not do what she said she did, deliver my package to my address. Whom ever had my packages opened it and then put one of them in the mailbox. I never did get the other. Luckily, Amazon said they would either replace the items or refund my money. However, I still wanted to vent about this, because I am very angry. The USPS as a whole is bad but the Valdosta USPS takes the cake! Had a package that was worth a substantial sum arrive from Jacksonville Florida to Valdosta where I live. The package then left Valdosta for Tallahassee Florida. Didn't have it delivered to my house back in Valdosta for another week plus. I currently have another somewhat expensive package that was supposed to be delivered last Saturday. It arrived in Valdosta that day but has yet to be delivered 5 days later. Yesterday (9/8/20) I had my flag raised at 3914 Robin Hood Road, 31606, with 2 letters to be picked up. Also, I was expecting my delivery of the Valdosta Times. A USPS van entered our subdivision just before dark, but TURNED AROUND about a half block before reaching our mailbox. It did not observe our raised flag and did not deliver our newspaper. Place is complete garbage, employees are lazy and unhelpful. They constantly deliver packages into my mailbox that are way too big to fit into it. If you put a mail hold on, good luck because they will still keep delivering it. And try to blame you for not putting a card inside your mailbox, like you need to let anyone who passes by that you're not home. Finally they have a kiosk which is far superior to the employees but more often than not it's down or out of receipt paper. Closest postal service to my house, about 1 mile. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. They always hold my mail for me when I am TDY/deployed and delivery the abundance of mail when I get home. Very accommodating. read more
