Large, empty land with NO trees or shade but lots of weeds with lots of goatheads. However, someone…read morewas kind enough to plough a road around the perimeter & up the middle of the property that allows for much more ease in walking with less pulling goatheads from paws. My thanks for the courtesy.

Solid 4/5 stars. Was not expecting a sparkling dog park, and you should do the same if you're…read morecoming here. The area is not hard to find, you just need a good pair of eyes to follow the two signs that point you in the direction, not joking. The parking area is small, but I would bet you'd be the only person parked here, just as I was. The first area you enter you'll see the entrance sign and all the rules. It says no dogs off leash in this area, though I found no one to be enforcing it... oops. The actual dog area is to the right of this sign through the green gate. Once you enter, you'll notice a well-worn path that encircles the area. It's about 0.33 miles round trip, 7 ish minutes to walk at a leisurely pace. Tons of sticker bushes around, and the area itself is not the most well kept park, but I'm glad we got to walk around some. My pup didn't wander off into the center of the area, but she kept on the path and I'm thankful for that. I did not want to be constantly picking off things from her paws. Bring a trash bag with you to pick up the litter here and there. All in all, might come back to see if she'll do the little obstacle course they have set up!

So the map on here is incorrect it's actually across the street because we drove around the park it…read moreshows on the map and there's literally no entrance it's the future housing of the fire department. So you wanna go across The street. There's a gate by cream land factory and across the street from Sunbelt. Pretty dry no water for dogs but there is plenty of room to run around, chairs to sit on and trees. But there is aloooooot of trash here. Not well maintained

Arf. This is a pretty arf-y park. It's a dog park located…read moreright, right off the freeway and 2nd Street. There's a place where you can let your dog off the leash and run wild. There's a large "urban camping" situation going on at this park. Lots and lots of people camping out here, with pitched tents, little shelters, lean-to structures, and the works. There are some pretty good examples of cool structures that can be made out of tarps and shopping carts. The park is bisected by 3rd Street, which cuts right through the heart of it, dividing Coronado Dog Park from Coronado Skate Park, which seems to have even more of a population of campers. Parking for this park is rather difficult, since it's right along busy streets. There's no restrooms here, and most of the trees seem to be dead/dying. Perhaps from the lack of water or the tremendous amount of pee. This isn't a good example of the parks that the Land of Enchantment has to offer. I'd suggest going elsewhere, even if you do need to walk the dog. If you're having some early morning hair of the dog, then this might be a good place to go. Fortunately, you don't have to worry about your dog running onto the freeway, since it's elevated at this point. There seems to be no segregation for big dogs and little ones. I wouldn't come to this park after dusk.
