I had an excellent experience with Dr. Patel and his staff. I had upper and lower Blepharoplasty…read moresurgery and some additional procedures. I was stunned at the minimal amount of bruising I had, having expected to have black and blue eyes for several weeks. Nothing!!! Dr Patel and his staff (Stacie and Dena) are a great team. I searched long and hard for a Dr. that I would feel comfortable with and would listen to me, rather than trying to "upsell" me on additional procedures. Dr. Patel was that Dr. I highly recommend him to any considering surgery. My results are beyond what I expected, THANK YOU Dr. Patel.

I was very apprehensive about doing anything to my face, especially since I meet a lot of people for work day to day. Dr. Bhupendra Patel met quite accidentally and we started a conversation. After some research I decided to schedule and office visit with his staff and ultimately a procedure. I'm so glad I did because I couldn't be happier. Dr. Bhupendra Patel completed lower blepharoplasty, cheek lift, transposed fat into the cheek area and brows and lasered the extended lower eyelids. There was minimal downtime. I would highly recommend Dr. Bhupendra Patel and his team. Special thanks to Jill and Dena!

Had I followed the first doctors opinion I would have had a surgery I did not need, and would still have the problem I have today. If you have any serious eye issues diagnosed as Macular Holes, or MacTel 1, 2, 3, make sure you get a second opinion from Dr. Shakoor. Compare his over-all reviews with your local doctors. I was impressed by his critical and practical problem solving ability, his advanced equipment, and the time he took to explain it all to me. Thank you!

My experience with the exam process, surgery scheduling, and staff at the Moran Eye Center was…read moreextremely disappointing. Unfortunately, I felt that the doctor, anesthesiologist, and assisting staff demonstrated very poor bedside manner throughout my care. I was originally scheduled to have surgery on my second eye two weeks after the first procedure. However, my surgery was canceled without any notification from the scheduling department. When I called the day before surgery because I had not yet received my surgery time, I was informed that I was no longer on the schedule due to missing a postoperative appointment. What was most frustrating was the lack of communication and accountability. Initially, I was told they would likely be able to correct the issue pending approval from Dr. Pitha. I then received an email confirming surgery for the next day, along with an estimate and payment request. However, only a few hours later, I received another call stating that Dr. Pitha would not allow me to be added back to the schedule because of a "hard stop" on the schedule. In the end, I'm grateful things worked out the way they did because I chose to move forward with another surgeon. I had my surgery performed at the Eye Institute of Utah by Dr. Ian Christensen, and the experience was significantly better. I would highly recommend exploring that option for cataract surgery or other eye procedures. Based on my experience, I would caution others against assuming that being affiliated with the University of Utah guarantees a high level of patient care or organization. Unfortunately, my experience was marked by poor communication, disorganization, and a lack of professionalism. The only reason I gave one Star is because there was no other option.

They did NOT stand behind their product and did NOTHING to help me with frames that broke beyond repair after less than nine-months of occasional use. I saw Dr. Bogus for my exam the first time I had vision insurance. I found him engaging and knowledgeable. I decided to get my glass at his office because I wanted to support this local business, even though after insurance I would have out-of-pocket costs. His son Cris Bogus sells the eyewear and helped me select frames made by Dragon (part of Marchon Eyewear). The frames/lenses came to a total of $658 (my portion was $220). This was on 1/30/2021, but due prescription errors they had to be re-filled, adjusted twice, and added time for mail delivery and Covid complications, I was not able to wear the glasses until 3/29/2021. Even though I did not wear these fames daily, in early January 2022, they started disintegrating at the hinge connections and breaking (see photos). Due to a Covid quarantine and 2 failed attempts to catch Cris in the office, I was not able to show Cris the broken frames until 3/6/2022. As Cris excused himself to pull my file, a women came into the office to select eyeglasses. Cris promptly emerged from the back, passing by me, to help this woman select glasses. After a few minutes, the receptionist emerged with my file and bluntly told me the frames were out of warranty and that I would have to order new frames for $200. I left the office disgusted. I later realized that the promise of a commission was more appealing to Cris than helping me with my broken frames. I contacted Dragon' Eyewear who directed to submit an email claim to Marchon. Janice Berlingeri, a customer service agent responded to inform me that she consulted with Cris, that the frames were past a one-year warranty, and that Marchon would do nothing. I replied to Ms. Berlingeri for specifics on the warranty and questions on how I would have been notified of the frame's warranty - she did not respond to any of my emails. I understand a year had passed since I "purchased" the frames on 1/30/2021. However, I did not have use of the glasses until 3/29/2021. A product warranty is designed to gauge the minimum use one should have from a product. I wore these frames occasionally for less than 9 months before they broke. I implored Marchon and Cris to reconsider based on the above and the Covid complications with no success. It would have been a simple thing for Marchon to stand behind its product, but its agent would not even respond to my emails requesting additional information. Most infuriating for me is that Dr. Bogus' office did nothing to help resolve the situation. My insurance and I paid Dr. Bogus' office over $650 (over $220 from my own pocket) for a product now worthless after just 9 months of periodic use. One of the reasons to choose local businesses is to get more dedicated and personalized service. Cris could not even take the time to tell me personally that he was not going to help me with my broken frames instead sending the receptionist to tell me. Likewise, not one of these 3 entities -- Cris, Dragon or Marchon -- was willing to do anything to help their customer. They could have offered a reduced price on replacement frames or a credit for a future purchase . . . something . . . anything! Cris could have asked Marchon or his distributor to provide free or discounted replacement frames. Instead, all three companies, chose to hide behind a warranty that was NOT brought to my attention at any point while purchasing the frames. I expected so much more when making the decision to support this local business. I can understand that perhaps Dr. Bogus' office could not absorb the cost to give me replacement frames. But, I do not understand why Cris and Dr. Bogus' office were not willing to at least try to find a resolution for a client who trusted them and spent a significant amount of money at their business for a product now worthless. Lesson learned! Lesson learned!

I've consistently received excellent care at Rocky Mountain Eye Care. Both doctors I've gone to…read moreover the years here at RMEC have been highly knowledgeable about all kinds of vision issues. They rightly deserve their good reputation for excellent level of care. My doctor, Dr Murdock, is very patient and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. He's taken the time to discuss my eye health, and gone over my scans/images with me. He's even used visuals to help me decipher some of the weird symptoms I was having. As a result, I left my most recent appointment feeling reassured about the unusual vision issues I'd been experiencing. The staff is amicable and sincere - the receptionists, the billing dept, assistants and doctors. They're a great crew to work with.

Beyond the environment, the billing practices felt predatory. I was charged a $65 'contact fitting fee' despite having worn contacts for 20 years and not requiring a new fitting. To make matters worse, they didn't present me with the fee form until the end of my appointment--after my eyes had been dilated. I literally could not read the document I was being asked to sign. To top it off, I was sent out into the light without being offered disposable sunglasses or any post-dilation care. I would not recommend this office to anyone seeking professional or compassionate eye care.
