Amazing for kids cuts. Quick efficient and great haircut. Kids love it too bc they have a car to sit in and they get some treats. I always ask for them to gel my son's hair into a Mohawk at the end and then they add some temporary spray color just for fun. Much better than sharkeys read more

I highly recommend V Elegant Salon for the whole family! I started bringing my three kids to Ana for haircuts a few years ago and she does an amazing job. The kids look forward to coming back and sitting in the cars and watching shows during their cuts. My son was happy and excited when I saw some pictures from the salon profile as I was planning to take him there for second hair cut. As we was walking to the store, the workers welcomed us and specially my son which give him some comfort. He was relaxed as he had a cartoon to watch on the iPad during the haircut. Stopped into this salon to get my young daughter a haircut and was pleasantly surprised. It is very clean, gorgeously decorated and all the staff were extremely kind and welcoming. They even had a little car chair for my little one to sit in. The bonus was that they were very affordable for a child's cut unlike other salons in the area. I will definitely be back to try a haircut myself. For now, I highly recommend this place for kiddos. read more

A former Paul Mitchell instructor and Vidal Sassoon trained stylist, his precision cuts are the best. Whether you're looking for a classic Sassoon bob or something more adventurous/funky, Stanly will deliver a distinctive cut precisely tailored for the individual. We went in to get my son's hair cut there because we used to go there when it catered more to kids The new management (the salon used to be Il Tuo Stile) kept one of the old Cars chairs for kids for hair cuts and they still have lollipops. I did the usual trick and asked for one inch off of my son's hair and the stylist (who I think used to be the owner or part owner of the former salon) cut off more than two inches. At least I know that trick and always ask for half of what I want cut. The stylist shoved a tablet in front of my son before I could politely decline. He loves getting his hair cut and always does and says cute things while he does so we'd planned to get a few pics. But with tablet in hand and immediately glued to it, I didn't want to make an issue of taking it away. I could sense tension between her and the other stylist/owner right away and that she wasn't in a great mood so wanted to just keep things moving and go home. I decided to get my bangs cut while I was there and that was a mistake. I'll never go back. He seemed to be doing well then I noticed that he hadn't cut the right side of my bangs (they're tapered to progressively longer sections on the sides) - he had sectioned them off and pinned them and was cutting in sections. I pulled that section on the right down and asked if he could get those bangs and he said he didn't want to because my bangs would be too thick if he included blah blah blah. And I was like OK whether or not you *like* that those are my bangs, they are. This is not a negotiable situation. But he insisted on the leaving them and I was tired, knew I wasn't coming back so just thought I'd cut that section at home. It was one of the weirder salon experiences I ever had. He didn't want to cut part of my bangs so...he didn't. What his vision was of how my hair should be I have no clue. My hair is past the middle of my back and it would take at least 7 years to grow that one little section out to be the same length as the rest of my hair. For him. Because he didn't like that section being part of my bangs. No one else seems to take issue with them, but OK dude. Then I got home and looked in the mirror and realized that near the back of my head (it was in a messy bun) he had pinned the left side of my bangs back with a clip. So the left side still had the clip in it (did he not notice or did he think I wouldn't notice)? So I took out the clip and there was about a 1 1/2 inch section that wasn't cut there. So now I have narrow shorter bangs in the front and then two longer sections of my bangs that are scraggly on both sides - um, that he should have cut because...I was getting my bangs cut. Not just the sections that he wanted to. I don't have the skills with kitchen scissors to fix them so have to go my regular salon to have the 1/3 of my bangs cut that he didn't want to cut. Icing on the cake: they were blasting Italian opera. read more

Great place for kids haircuts! They have a salon chair that looks like a car and relatively easy to get an appointment within a day or two. Only 20 for a kids cut. Great find in Del Ray and they will be doing all my kids haircuts from now on. read more

V elegant salon is one of the best hair salon in Del Ray. All staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. In perticular Fedwa who I have been going to for the last several years. I don't have to tell her what cut or color I want, she knows what I want. It's hard to trust people when they do your hair but with Fedwa I just let her do what ever because I trust her work and she knows what she is doing. read more

Wouldn't recommend for little boy hair cuts. Did the opposite of what I said. I said no layers because it makes my sons hair stand up and she cut a ton of short layers and the fade is very high. My child now has hair standing up all over and basically no bangs. It looks like a bad military high and tight. My husband was beyond pissed when he saw it!! read more

I needed a place to get my 18 month olds haircut and didn't want to go to a kid's salon since she has so much hair, but I also didn't want to spend a fortune. Searching through Old Town Mom's list serve and on Facebook, I found this spot had been recommended over and over again (it used to be called something else, they switched ownership last year). We saw Fedwa and my daughter went nuts when she put on the cape. Fedwa was patient and told us to try again. We went back the next day, extra shirt in hand and she cut her hair capeless. She sat in the car and watched their TV. It was such a lovely experience for a first haircut. We went back again for more of a style at 2.5 years old. We had to wait a while, it might be worth it to call for an appointment if you're going after 5 or on the weekend. Since she was a little older, she was able to really enjoy the car and had fun watching Mickey on their Netflix. Her haircut is so stinking cute. Anahy did an amazing job, I can't believe how much older she looks! My typically shy daughter gave her a hug afterwards. There was also a man there before us who looked great after his cut from Anahy, and a woman was getting a color from Fedwa, so they really do everything. Since the new ownership, they painted and modernized the space so it's cute and comfy. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any of the stylists and the Elegant Salon! read more
