I made an appointment and as soon as I walked in and sat down, she tried to get me to try a different service. Before she started my nails she got up twice to do different things at the cash register, whatever. She seemed nice enough but, my nails were atrocious. I asked for almond, she did stilettos. They were uneven and wonky. She didn't even build an apex to strengthen the acrylic. They were thick at the ends and thin at the base so you could see where the tips were. She also over-drilled my natural nails to the point that I have a spot that was almost through the nail. The tips curved down so, they looked like claws and not in the good way. I have no training and do a better job than she did. Do yourself a favor, go to Sally's and grab a diy kit. It's far cheaper, you don't have to make an appointment, and you can learn from a few youtube videos and get a better mani. I don't know who the people with positive reviews got but, it certainly wasn't the person I got. I was so disappointed, I didn't have time to fix them and people noticed how bad they were. I could have cried. To be clear, I could have cared less about the service if the nails were good. They were not. I could have cried.

I just returned for a Christmas gel manicure last week. Tressie did a great job. The manicures here are always well done & last 3+ weeks. My only negative is that they tack on a $3 sanitation fee to every bill, and that was added during the pandemic, which was understandable when they went above and beyond with what they had to buy for safety and cleanliness. But sanitation is the nature of a salon business so I wish that that extra $3 fee was not still on there because sometimes it's added into the final price I'm given and I've tipped on it, which in my opinion is not right. I was also surprised that it was an extra $7 for cat eye gel. I do totally understand the extra for nail art, but waving a magnet in front of your nail for a nano-second, $7 seems a little excessive. But I'm guessing it's because that polish costs more than regular gel. Anyway they do a great job here, but they are pricier than other salons in the area. I advise booking well in advance for holidays especially, as finding a walk in slot here is tough.

I was given three different reasons why my appoint had been canceled. I waited at least an hour before they took me to have the dip taken off. While I waited 45 minutes another woman had her nails done. When I was finally seen I found out that on my last visit I'd been given a dip base with a gel polish over top of it. The dip started chipping off of two nails two days days after.
