Without even inspecting it, the manager Doug sent me away saying it this was undoubtedly a transmission issue. I monitored it closely and went to get an oil change at the D'Iberville Walmart. I was shocked to learn they wouldn't touch my vehicle because my oil plug was completely stripped causing my oil to leak out slowly over time. I then took it to the local Ford dealership and they told me the stripped plug could indeed cause my truck to do that if engine components weren't getting lubricated. I took my truck back to this Firestone on KAFB, and had them change the oil and give me a new plug. The tech there reported the oil changed was extremely sludgy (burnt-like). They were very hesitant but I forced them to dig my stripped plug out of the trash and give it to me. My truck was apparently knocking that hard because my engine was getting burned oil. My truck has been running poorly and jerking hard ever since, and I am positive this poor service is the culprit. Poor, poor, poor. This was awful service all-around. If I could give this Firestone any rating, it would be zero or 1/2 for bad management, quality assurance, and oversight for a simple oil change. It tore my engine up. I'd also give 0 or a 1/2 for the manager giving bad advice and pushing me away when he told me it was a transmission issue without looking at it first.

She told them she needed to buy and have them install battery. Bought battery but after paying, clerk asked female manager if could install. Manger said there was lighting in area, so no no install. Wife waited in car for 90 minutes at Advanced with car running afraid to turn off with old battery like roadside tech told her not to do. Rain let up and she went back in to have install. Manager said it was still raining/wet and refused to install. Wife left, went to Taylors Garage across street, they charged her $30 for install. Wife in professioanl work clothes went back in to get them to take old battery out of car hatch for core fee. They actually wanted her to bring it in, she protested and they came out and got it and processed return core fee. Advanced: had no intention of installing battery, but sold her a $200 battery "on sale" and charged her the core fee as proof they had no intention of installing it as she first had asked BEFORE the sale. Then when she returned they wanted her to physically bring the old battery back in after waitng an hour and half in thier shop lot where they could see her for a second install refusal, and having paid another shop to install it. When I called manager about situation, after multiple excuses, she finallly told me my wife could have just returned the battery for a refund. Seriously? How bout this--I don't do business with that shop or anyother Advanced shop ever again. Heres the kicker--at the same time at the Laurel Advanced shop, I was refuesed wiper install because the clerk "(couldn't) install the bar type...I always break them", she said. See that review.
