Mom died half a year earlier and I thought I was going to lose my Dad too (it was a difficult year). Other times there were "miscommunications" about expected charges (besides regular cleanings and fillings I've needed a few crowns and a root canal). I'd recommend ALWAYS getting a written estimate and holding on to it. Last summer a filling came out while I was out of state. I left a question on the office voicemail after-hours. I woke up the next day to find they had scheduled me for an appointment without speaking to me and they were unhappy I didn't make an appointment that I never made. They also were always leaving messages at the last minute asking me to come in earlier or later. As a caregiver who also works for the State it's really difficult to get away or change my schedule at last minute. I found out from my new dentist they also sent a snarky note along with my records. I opted to see a non military dentist because my experience has never been great while in the Air Force. When I was seen I asked them to complete a form DD form 2813. A standard military form to get you out of seeing the military dentist. They told me it would be no problem and they would send it. Today I called them and informed them that it was never sent. They said it was never mentioned and said they will look into helping do something they said they would do. They said they would redo it and told me it would be available when I got their this afternoon. I came in this afternoon only to be told they have the form and in order for it to be filled out I need to be seen again because the dentist who saw me is no longer there. They didn't bother to tell me that on the phone. Instead they wait for me to show up and waste my time to tell me they can't do what was asked of them when I went in for my appointment in September. They had the nerve to try and get me to schedule an appointment, It was very condescend because if they can't be trusted to do what they said why would I see them again. Front office team is not helpful with problems Staff is constantly turning over. And then proceeded to argue with my husband and I about how this is not his fault that my child was crying and would not walk away from the chair where my child was after being asked multiple times to do so. I went to see Dr. Frankel because I developed a painful and destructive mouth condition. Dr. Frankel, who failed to identify this condition, treated me in a rude, condescending, and patronizing manner. I am unfailingly friendly and cooperative with my health practitioners, and Dr. Frankel's unpleasant behavior toward me is completely unprofessional and unacceptable.

For me the appointments are not only pleasant, they are enjoyable and they are down right FUN~!~!~!~!~!~! I have had 7 appointments with Northwest Dental Arts as I discovered them in December 2014. Of these 7 appointments 4 have been with Jodie for Periodontal Maintenance and 3 have been with Doctor Frankel for an exam and 2 fillings. I have had two knee replacement surgeries so I must maintain my dental hygiene to the maximum because falls and infections are the two leading causes of knee implant failure. I have Dearly LOVED all 7 appointments. Doctor Frankel and Jodie are top professionals. I should know as I have more experiences with dentists in my 69 years of life than most people. I estimate that I have experiences with about 40 dentists in several states. The entire staff is professional, competent, courteous, helpful, friendly, warm and caring. They treat us patients as if we are royalty. As a major plus for me, they all laugh at my jokes. That goes above and beyond professional duty. SMILE What is my opinion worth~?
