I have to say that after almost 10 years of sugaring I found the waxing to be WAY less painful, there was a tiny bit of discomfort in an area where there was an ingrown hair from sugaring. It takes many attempts to get through to reception. 2) Mark tried to overcharge me on tax and tip for a $30 sugaring wax service I got off groupon. He charged me more than $20 for "tax and tip". I had to correct him and point out that 13% HST and 15% tip for a $30 service is $8. Make sure you double check their calculations or they will get away with it. 3) It was such a hassle getting in contact with them to book a second wax appointment. Their phone lines were down. I had to leave a couple voicemails, an email through their website, and a FB message until Mark finally got back to me a couple days later. 4) There seems to be zero to little communication with their sugar wax technician. They had no idea that she was on vacation. Emporia advertised a Groupon in which they could not essentially honour. 5) My wax appointment was cancelled 6 hours beforehand due to "miscommunication" between Mark and the technician. Another error. 6) I asked Mark if I could speak to upper management to voice my concerns about their poor customer service. He assured me that Archana or Christos would get in contact with me. I have yet to receive any response from either one of them. It seems that they do not value customer satisfaction. My experience with Emporia has been very unpleasant. You are better off going somewhere else that is more reliable and values your business.

The spa has separate men's and women's changing rooms with showers, a hot tub and plenty of useful amenities. You can also purchase facial masks. Beyond the saunas, there are far infrared-light lounge chairs to lie on, massage chairs, a quiet lounge for reading or relaxing, a sleeping room, a gym and computer stations if you need to work. There is also a restaurant if you get hungry, as well as spa treatments available for an additional cost. Many people brought books and spent time relaxing between the different rooms. It is a lovely place to slow down, unwind and spend several peaceful hours.

I'm pretty sure I fell asleep. I went for the lymphatic massage and then it ended up becoming a deep tissue massage with hot rocks.
